GTFO News

Check out Den of Wolves!

First of all, thank you for following us on this journey the last six years. The success of GTFO, from the reveal way back in 2017, through early access and to the conclusion of the story with Rundown 8.0 Duality, is all thanks to people like you. The small group of ten founders could never imagine all the positive feedback or the number of memories and friends created while suffering down in The Complex. And it’s with that sense of gratefulness, now as a studio with over 100 people, we would like to present our next project.

Announced at The Game Awards, Den of Wolves is our next game. It’s a cooperative heist FPS where you and your friends operate as criminals-for-hire in Midway City, an unregulated innovation zone. You take advantage of the growing need for "unauthorized errands" created by rival business entities in this corporate haven.

With Den of Wolves, we are creating an action-packed techno-thriller – a session-based cooperative heist shooter where you can make your mark whether you have 20 minutes or 2 hours to play.

Plan and execute heists through industrial espionage, sabotage, theft and assassinations. Gather your crew, decide the best approach, acquire the weapons, gadgets and intel, penetrate the security systems and execute the heist.

Missions are dynamic and unpredictable as your crew are thrown from stealth to full-on action and back in mind-bending scenarios.

Den of Wolves is about taking down scores together with your crew – and hopefully gaining some new friends along the way.

PATCH NOTES - 2023-12-14

Prisoners, we are following up last weeks release of Rundown 8.0 Duality with a patch that fixes issues relegated to progression on some maps, achievements and added back the dodge mechanic, amongst other things. Some mild spoilers in the "level design changes" part and more further below.

Don't forget that GTFO is still 40 % off.

PATCH NOTES
NEW FEATURES & CHANGES
• Added dodge mechanic back, consuming stamina on use.
 • Narrative description is now hidden for expeditions B1-E1 when locked.
 • Updated Revolver reload animation.
LEVEL DESIGN CHANGES
• Swapped 2 snatchers for 1 tank in R8B3 Secondary.
 • Fixed some wave spawns in R8E1 so they don’t spawn from front.
BUG FIXES
• Fixed bug where Voice Logs were controlled by SFX instead of Dialog setting.
 • Fixed bug where the Slug Shotgun didn’t count for the “Close Quarters” Achievement.
 • Fixed bug where placing the Consumeable Tripmine invalidated the “Low Tech” Achievement.
 • Fixed bug where the Achievement “D-Lock Block Decipherer” was incorrectly awarded and “Theorist”, ”Versed”, & “Cataloger” could not be awarded if you played a Modded rundown. The Achievement now goes back to the unawarded state only if you did not discover enough logs, but have it incorrectly awarded. No progress is reset.
 • Fixed bug in R8A1 where a wall had no collision in Zone 73.
 • Fixed bug in R8B2 where a scan could be floating in the air.
 • Fixed bug where R8C1 Overload could not be completed due to a Terminal sometimes being inaccessible.
 • Fixed bug in R8C1 where some incorrect comments were mentioned in the objective text.
 • Fixed bug in R8D1 where a dead body had blood on mask but not on their clothes.
 • Fixed bug in R8E1 where there were two incorrect Warden Objective texts.
BUG FIXES, CONTINUED (mild spoilers ahead)
• Fixed bug in R8A2 where there were some blank subtitles.
 • Fixed bug in R8A2 where there were some overlapping objects in the extraction Zone.
 • Fixed bug in R8A2 where the objective disappears after the Schaeffer & Henriksson argument.
 • Fixed bug where the wrong fog settings get applied after playing R8A2 Secondary.
 • Fixed bug where R8B4 Secondary could not be completed.
 • Fixed bug in R8B4 where the Data Sphere was not required for extract if you restored from checkpoint.
 • Fixed bug in R8B4 where a player could get stuck in Zone 159.
 • Fixed bug in R8C2 where the game could hard-lock if certain commands were used on a specific Terminal.
 • Fixed bug in R8C2 where there was a missing sound from the Vogen.
 • Fixed bug in R8D2 where a command could be entered multiple times causing audio issues.
 • Fixed bug in R8E2 where the command “ADMIN_TEMP_OVERRIDE” could be used more than once.
 • Fixed bug in R8E2 where the fade-out briefly stops working at the end animation.
 • Fixed bug in R8E2 where an objective text had a missing closing color tag.
 • Fixed bug in R8E2 where you could get extra time when failing the Reactor Verification.

GTFO's final chapter is live now with new horrors

The final chapter of horrifying cooperative FPS GTFO is out now, sending it off with a scream as the developers look forward to their newly announced next game. The update, Rundown 8.0 Duality includes new expeditions, new awful beings to murder you, and new weapons to attempt to stop them. It looks awful in a lovely way. Maybe I'll finally pluck up the courage to give GTFO a proper go, especially as a free trial weekend is running on Steam and the game's discounted too. I'd have to be some sort of coward to ignore that. Some sort of coward who doesn't want to creep and fight through hordes of horrid meatmonsters.
One more thing
As many of you know, we have spent the last years simultaneously working hard on a new game.
Untitled and undisclosed — until now.

10 Chambers proudly presents:

This is our co-op heist game, set in a techno-thriller future. Take on Midway City as a gun for hire in the conflicts between rival corporations. No country, creed or loyalty — all that matters is the next score. This is Den of Wolves.
The World of Den of Wolves
Near the middle of the 21st century, deep learning AI became an unstoppable hacking tool, used by thieves, terrorists and anarchists to cause entire economies to collapse. The world was desperate for a revolution in the field of network security, and powerful investment firms — backed by Big Pharma, the oil industry, and worse — came to the rescue. These corporations offered salvation in exchange for free rein. They got Midway Island.
