[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Greetings Agents and welcome to Intruder update build number 1757!
(edit: now 1759!)
Our first sale!!
This is the first time since Intruder's early access release that we have gone on sale! For the next week we will be %50 percent off! We're excited for this update and wanted to make sure it was more easily available for anybody looking for some stealth action.
The Update
This update is a big one, so let's break it down before we get started. First up is player progression. While levels have been introduced in a previous update, now you have something to look forward to with level rewards and the Item Cache! Next, the Intruders stepped up their game and now have a new version of their pistol codenamed The Panther. We also have a new and improved physics system for ragdolls, grenades, and other environment objects. Finally, we have some updates for the Intruder Map Maker which helps you make the game better for everyone else! Enough waiting around, it's time to dive in!
Progression System
Last time we sent you an update you saw the player progression system with XP and leveling. After each match you are awarded XP and level increases in the match summary screen. On top of that, you now acquire new items to add to your Item Cache. Some levels have preset rewards, but others are completely random, so be on the lookout for rare items!
Item Cache
Now that you're unlocking items for playing Intruder, you ought to be able to do something with them! That's where the Item Cache comes in. You can access your Item Cache in game on either the main menu, or from the team select menu when you join a match. Clicking on an Item in the cache brings it up in the inspection viewer so you can get a good look at what you'll be bringing to your next fight. After previewing, you can equip and unequip your items which you might need to do often as there are plenty to choose from!
Item Types
- Skin - New weapon designs available for the Shrike and Panther
- Reticle - New reticles available for the red dot and the sniper scope
- Charge Sound - New sounds for when you detonate your explosive charges
- Sensor Sound - New sounds for when someone sets off your motion sensor
- Arm Patch - Patches for your character to show off your level
- Wall Tag - Decals that can be applied to walls, floors, ceilings, and more
- Hat - New hats to wear on your head
- HQ Background - Backgrounds to display when you're at the HQ
- Profile Background - Backgrounds to display on your player profile
You'll also notice that the room creation menu has some new options available. This new Item cache dropdown let’s you determine what items types are available for use in your room. You can choose what to allow in your room so you can go all out for some zany action or keep it plain for some competitive play.
The item cache was implemented using Steam's inventory system. This makes it really easy for us to add new items or change details on existing ones. The four tiers are Blue, Green, Orange, and Purple which have rarities common, uncommon, rare, and very rare respectively.

Another benefit of Steam is that the items you've acquired are open for trading and for sale in the marketplace. Members of secret base alpha have already been trading items during testing and it's been a ton of fun!
The Panther
The Panther is the updated pistol used by the intruders. It not only looks better, but works better too! The suppressor has been slimmed down allowing for a clearer sight picture! It also has weapon skins so be sure to unlock, trade, or even buy the skins so you can start out in style. Thank you Jake, Brayan, and Martino for the awesome art and technical work.
Ragdoll Syncing
Ragdolls are now synced more accurately for all players. Previously ragdolls were pretty accurate, but in certain scenarios slight inaccuracies could lead to a player's body falling off a ledge on one person's view while they actually haven't fallen on their end. Now ragdoll positions have much tighter tolerances and the previously mentioned scenario should not happen anymore!
Ragdolling With Weapons
Being knocked over used to leave your character literally empty handed. Now you hold on to your weapon when knocked over so you know when you shot a sniper or if they picked up one of the shotguns on the map.

The exception to this is the shield pickup. If you are knocked over with the shield out it will be dropped and can be picked up by other players! You can see Agent Bopman15 using some quick thinking to pick up a shield Agent SpoooKy3 unfortunately dropped.
Chairs as Weapons?!?!
Intruder is usually about stealth and cooperation, but sometime you just have to let out your inner wrestling star and slam someone with a chair. The good news is that now you can! By placing explosives or well-placed grenades you can launch chairs into enemies and take them out!
Intruder Map Maker 2.05 Preview
Jake and Clor have worked on the Map Maker in order to make it more accessible to people without as much knowledge in Unity. New scripts and activator updates make interactive level elements a breeze to add to your map. Player models and toolbars make it more intuitive to create and upload your maps to the workshop. Of course there's much more detail than this, so check out the Intruder MM portion of the video above in order to get a preview on what's been added! Some of the additions:
- Character model references for spawn points
- GUI updates for tons of scripts for easier management and use
- Tool tips for everything!
- Scene gizmos and UI to show the effects of your activators and other setups
- Door swing angle/slide distance previews in scene view
- New buttons for uploading or adding map features and game objects
Bug Fixes and QoL Improvements
As always, we are working to patch out any bugs and make Intruder smoother and more fun to play with minor changes that don't need a whole paragraph about them but are still nice to know about.
These changes include, but are not limited to:
- Briefcase icon is removed when you go into spectator mode
- You can now see LMS zones through the sniper scope
- You no longer get stuck on small bumps that cause you to move slowly across a surface
- Round timers now display correctly in IntruderMM
- Ragdoll camera view can no longer look through doors or walls
- Slit windows in Riverside B2 have been narrowed to prevent players from squeezing through
- Walking over a friendly grenade will no longer cause reflective damage
- Reflective damage from grenades is more consistent
- CS gas now affects all other players in LMS game mode
- Sensors and remote charge positions are now synced up between players
- New visuals for capture zones
DiD yOu KnOw ThAt!?
You can pick up a package from your teammates back. Use this as a way of getting the package from a higher location that the carrier can't quite reach!
