WRLD_EATR's Sneak Peek: Roastevelt

Checkout our first of three Legendary Sneak Peeks, Roastevelt, from WRLD_EATR!

Introducing the Lord’s Vanguard

An all-new World Boss, Lord Malakrogg, is coming soon to Bit Heroes Quest! Previously, we took a look at what makes this World Boss unique and the awesome new gear it is introducing to the game. This time, we’ll be learning more about the well-equipped and well-trained members of the Lord’s Vanguard. This small, but elite, fighting force has invaded Silverstone City on Malakrogg’s orders to unleash a harmful mutating gas on its citizens.
New Rare Fusions
Assisting the Lord’s Vanguard are two new Rare Fusions, Toolbon and Dexteriuz.

Toolbons are friendly little fellows that just want to keep their friends in the Lord’s Vanguard in fighting shape. They aren’t much of a warrior on their own, but they have figured out that “hurting” is a lot like healing if you just take the time to do everything wrong.

Dexteriuz are solitary individuals by design. They were built by Lord Malakrogg to hunt down and harvest the most interesting mutations while the Lord’s Vanguard assaults Silverstone City. All reports seem to suggest that Dexteriuz actually prefer this isolation. When they aren’t gathering new mutations that Lord Malakrogg can use to further his evolution, they can be seen partaking in various hobbies such as papercrafts, gardening, and very awkward attempts at knitting.
New Epic Fusions
Three new Epic Fusions, Warhead, Emperor Freudrich, and Dr. Walker, form the backbone of Lord Malakrogg’s surprise attack on Silverstone City.

Warhead is a one-man wrecking crew whose primary objective is to bring as much chaos and panic to Silverstone City as possible. There is a method to this madness however. Red bricks get targeted first, because Red tastes horribly, while Green bricks get a pass because they’ve only ever had nice things to say about him. While many of his peers wear special headgear to protect themselves from the mutating gas, Warhead has calculated that would require him to reduce his missile capacity by 8% which he has concluded is not worth the risk of breathing, “a little Yellow air.”

Emperor Freudrich is a living legend from long-ago Bolvin lore. He is infamous for bringing Bolvin society the closest it has ever been to war hundreds of years ago. He has been resurrected through the use of Pale Yolk by the same secretive scientists that were discovered to be experimenting on the Chicken Tribes of Big Claw. Emperor has rigorously trained the Lord’s Vanguard into the elite fighting force they are today. In a textbook case of nominative determinism, Emperor Freudrich has never held the title of emperor; it simply happens to be his given name. A lifetime of being annoyed with this name is why he advised Lord Malakrogg to reconsider the Lord’s original alias, “Evilnone.”

Doctors Huther and Newther had long, illustrious careers before their Pale Yolk atrocities were discovered. Even B.R.E.M. had a previous life as a well-respected member of the scientific community before deciding to make himself into, well, B.R.E.M. However, no such records exist or ever seem to have existed for the one who calls himself Dr. Walker which calls into question if he even has a doctorate.
New Legendary Fusions
Malakrogg’s own royal guard is made up of his strongest creations: three Legendary Fusions who never seem to leave the Lord’s side. These Fusions will be revealed by members of our Content Creator program over the next few days.
 • WRLD_EATR will be introducing Roastevelt, a furious warrior who pilots a mechanical suit designed by Lord Malakrogg and is considered by many to be the angriest Bolvin to ever live.
 • bitverse_andy will be introducing Lux-0, Malakrogg’s finest mechanical marvel before his obsession with biological mutations.
 • Neflarian will be introducing Octakill, Emperor’s pet project to reverse the pacification Bolvins typically experience as they increase in size.
New Mythic Fusion
Lord Malakrogg is just as much a brutal monstrosity as he is an absolute genius of mechanics and biology. Every piece of equipment or mutant augmentation that empowers his mighty Vanguard seems to have been designed and built by Malakrogg himself. Very little else is known about this tyrannical behemoth at this time. His body seems entirely made of mutations on top of further mutations and bleeds a substance uncomfortably similar to a destabilized variation of Pale Yolk. At his core there appears to be two things, an unfortunate Bolvin who seems to be the nucleus of his excessive mutations and a solid bitridium pump to fuel his massive frame. Whomever the bright Bolvin at the center of Malakrogg was, it is obvious that even they have submitted to the Lord’s will.

The all new World Boss, Project: Goodall, featuring Lord Malakrogg and his Vanguard will be coming to Bit Heroes Quest this week at server reset time on March 20th.

Project: Goodall will feature our first instance of an Ancient difficulty in addition to the usual Normal, Hard, and Heroic options. Defeating Lord Malakrogg on Ancient difficulty will earn you the Unstable Bitridium you will need to supercharge your Tier 21 Harvester into one of five elemental options, but be prepared for a cooperative challenge equivalent to a new Ancient Dungeon being added to the game.

New World Boss, who dis?

An all-new World Boss, Lord Malakrogg, is coming soon to Bit Heroes Quest! Let’s take a look at what makes this World Boss unique and the awesome new gear he is introducing to the game.

First and foremost, it’s important to understand that World Bosses are typically added to the game as new late-game content that targets the current highest tier. However, introducing a new World Boss in this way would have one of the same key issues we’re currently facing with adding a new Zone; this new and exciting content would be inaccessible to any player not already at or near Tier 21.

Table of World Boss tiers from the community wiki

To get around this issue in a fun way, we are releasing this World Boss at three specific Tiers to create an early-game, mid-game, and late-game challenge that everyone can enjoy and earn meaningful loot from.
Tier 7
At Tier 7, Lord Malakrogg will drop a Set and a pair of Mythics that will help you mitigate incoming damage and tank for your team.

The set’s mainhand weapon is an axe with the following skills to keep you going in battle:
 • BSL-1: Minimize - 0SP: Damage closest enemy
 • BSL-1: Protect - 1SP: Shield self
 • BSL-2: Contain - 2SP: Drain closest enemy
 • BSL-3: Sterilize - 2SP: Damage target enemy
 • BSL-4: Decontaminate - 3SP: Spread heal

The rest of the set is made of a ring, head gear, and body gear that combine to keep you and your team safe when you need it most:
 • 2/4: Gain 50% Shields when you first drop below 50% Health
 • 3/4 Gain 10% Redirect while all teammates are alive
 • 4/4: Gain 15% Deflect when you're the last teammate alive

The new Mythics at this tier are a necklace that provides 3% Deflect and an offhand that provides 10% Block to round out your defensive options.
New Mechanic: Heartwood
The gear from Tiers 14 and 21 feature a new mechanic called Heartwood. For each stack of Heartwood, that character gains 4% Air Resistance. Heartwood can be stacked up to four times.
Tier 14
At Tier 14, Lord Malakrogg will drop a Set and a pair of Mythics that will allow you to channel the powers of the Earth element to keep your team healthy and hale.

The set’s mainhand weapon is a sword with the following skills to limit the enemy’s offensive potential:
 • Thinning - 0SP: Root the closest two enemies
 • Optimal Chamber - 0SP: Shield target and add a stack of Heartwood to them
 • Selective Pickings - 1SP: Root the furthest enemy twice
 • Eradication - 2SP: Root the strongest enemy
 • Exponential Growth - 3SP: Consume all Heartwood stacks and heal team 10% for each stack consumed

The rest of the set is made of a ring, an offhand, and body gear that work together to maximize the support you can offer you allies:
 • 2/4: 10% Revitalize
 • 3/4: +10% Dual Strike each normal hit. Resets on Double Strike
 • 4/4: 75% Chance to give a stack of Heartwood to all teammates at the start of your turn

The new Mythics at this tier are a necklace that gives you 0.5% Healing Power for each 1% Earth Damage you have (up to 25%) and head gear that gives you 2SP the first time you heal per battle, so you’ll always be stocked up to come in clutch.
Tier 21
At Tier 21, Lord Malakrogg will drop a Set and a pair of Mythics so you can pelt the bad guys with hard-hitting rocks.

The set’s mainhand weapon is a spear with the following skills to pulverize your foes:
 • Contagion - 0SP: Deal Earth damage to the three closest enemies
 • Yolk Culture - 1SP: Root the closest, furthest, and weakest enemy
 • Cull Weakness - 2SP: Deal Earth damage to the weakest enemy four times
 • Culture Overgrowth - 3SP: Deal Earth damage and Root the enemy team
 • Nutrient Depletion - 4SP: Root the weakest enemy. This skill has 20% more Double Strike

The rest of the set is made of a ring, head gear, and body gear that work as one to grind your opponents into dust:
 • 2/4: Gain 5% Dual Strike for each teammate alive
 • 3/4: 50% Chance to add a stack of Heartwood to a random teammate when you hit an enemy
 • 4/4: Whenever a teammate gains 4 stacks of Heartwood, remove them and deal 250% damage to the weakest enemy

The new Mythics at this tier are a necklace that gives 0.5% Earth Damage for each 1% of Air Resistance you have and an offhand that gives 2 stacks of Heartwood to all teammates whenever an enemy dies because sometimes the best defense is an overwhelming offense!
Harvester: Supercharged
This World Boss brings more than just new gear however. Lord Malakrogg will also drop a new Ancient material that can be used to reforge a fully uptiered and upgraded Harvester into one of five powerful elemental versions with new skills! Earning this material will take the same effort as earning any new Ancient material. So, be prepared to coordinate a detailed strategy with your fellow heroes, and we will be monitoring your attempts following the release to tune the challenge just right.

Until then, here is a sneak peak of just one skill from each Harvester variation:
 • Air | Artery Slash – 0SP: Bleed the closest enemy twice
 • Earth | Entangling Thorns – 1SP: Root all enemies
 • Fire | Thermocharge – 1SP: Combust the target enemy and spread heal
 • Water | Raincaller's Grace – 4SP: Spread heal and execute 2 random skills
 • Electric | Volt Requiem – 4SP: Shock weakest and execute 2 random skills

Before Lord Malakrogg releases, we’ll have another update to share with you that overviews the cool new Fusions coming to the game. Be on the lookout for our next announcement soon!
