Update 1.2 - Season 2

Hello commanders, Update 1.2 is finally here. This update will be carried out at 9:00 AM on January 2, 2025, UTC time. At that time, the server will undergo update maintenance for approximately 360 minutes.
New Season Rewards
We have prepared many new season rewards for you in Season 2, and we have made it faster for you to progress through the rewards tree.

Just like before, at the beginning of the new season, your Combat Power and Insight will be reset to 1, and your MMR will be reset to 90% of the original. At the same time, the system will issue rewards such as Medals and Credits based on your performance in the previous season. In addition, all Season Points that were not spent in the previous season will be converted into Credits.
New Unit: Raiden
Raiden is a new giant flying unit that emits three lightning bolts to hit three different targets with each attack. It is good at fighting medium-sized units and has multiple unique Techs.
Unit Remake: Sabertooth
We are always looking for ways to revamp old units. This time we have completely remade the model of the Sabertooth and added a new Tech [Secondary Armament] to it. The new Sabertooth will appear in the initial unit selection, this will significantly increase the variety of the initial unit lineup.
Unit Repositioned: Overlord
We have always imagined Overlord being a huge battleship. With the addition of the new aerial unit Raiden, we finally have the opportunity to reposition Overlord. The adjusted Overlord has become larger, stronger, and more expensive, making it a more powerful presence than other giant units.
New Survival/Brawl Mode Unit: Death Knell
Now players can find the Death Knell in unit reinforcement cards in Survival Mode and Brawl Mode. Death Knell is an extremely powerful Titan-class unit and the ultimate form of Melting Point, it can also be a potential counter to many popular strategies in the 4-Player Brawl Mode.
New Expert: Intensive Training Expert
Training Specialist obtains an extra 50 supplies in the first round and gets 1 Intensive Training for free. We think this specialist may provide interesting ways to introduce unusual matchups in earlier rounds.
Performance Optimization
Optimized the rendering performance of UI.

Season 2 Preview

Hello, commanders!

The second season of Mechabellum is coming on January 2nd. Today, we hope to give you a preview of all the content coming to Mechabellum during Season 2. The season will last for three months, during which there will be two major updates:

Update 1.2 (Released on January 2nd)
New Seasonal Rewards
In Season 2, we have prepared many new rewards for you. In addition, we have made it faster for players to progress through the rewards tree. Our goal is to make sure more players are able to obtain most of the seasonal rewards at the end of the season.

Here is what some of the avatar frames look like in motion:
New Specialist: Training Specialist
Training Specialist obtains an extra 50 supplies in the first round and gets 1 Intensive Training for free. We think this Specialist may provide interesting ways to introduce unusual matchups in earlier rounds.

Update 1.3 (Released on February 20th)
New Unit: Hound
Hounds are light units of six per squad, good at fighting against other small units. They can even clear acid and fire on the ground if equipped with the right Tech. You will know more details about it in February.
New Tournament Mode: 2v2 Tournament
The new 2v2 tournament will allow players to team up and compete in tournaments. We hope the 2v2 tournament can provide a new stage for players who like the mode.
Wrapping Up
The above is a preview of the major updates of Season 2. And there is still other content in Season 2 that is not included in this preview. You can check the corresponding patch notes when those updates are released to learn the details of them.

Update 1.1.2
New Specialist
Amplify Specialist: Get 3 Small Amplifying Cores for free in the first round.
Balance adjustments
Typhoon
  • HP decreased from 10030 to 9529 (5% decrease).
  • The cost of [Aerial Specialization] decreased from 300 to 250.
  • [Typhoon Specialist]'s HP bonus decreased from -200 to -300.
Developer's Note: In high MMR ranges, Typhoon has an above-average win rate, this is an attempt to balance it a little.

Vulcan
  • ATK increased from 86 to 88 (2% increase).
  • HP decreased from 36,054 to 35,332 (2% decrease).
Developer's Note: This change aims to make Vulcan destroy medium-sized units such as Sledgehammer faster, while also making Vulcan a little bit weaker against high-damage units.

Tarantula
  • The cost of [Range Enhancement] increased from 300 to 350.
  • The cost of [High Explosive Ammo] increased from 150 to 200.
Developer's Note: Tarantula is a bit too strong in the high MMR ranges. This change aims to slightly nerf it.

Initial Units
  • Crawler and Mustang opening's player HP bonus increased from 0 to +100.
  • Marksman and Mustang opening's player HP bonus increased from +500 to +700.
  • Fang and Steel Ball opening's player HP bonus increased from +500 to +700.
  • Fang and Tarantula opening's player HP bonus decreased from +200 to 0.
  • Crawler and Tarantula opening's player HP bonus decreased from -400 to -500.
Bug Fixes
• Fixed a configuration error that caused the Stormcaller openings' player HP bonuses to be too high.
Developer's Note: Due to a previous configuration error, Stormcaller openings' player HP bonuses were significantly higher than they should have been, which in turn led to a higher winning rate for Stormcaller openings.
  • Fixed a configuration error that caused the HP of the Overlord missile to be very high.
Developer's Note: Due to a previous configuration error, Overlord's missiles were extremely difficult to intercept.
  • Fixed an issue where some emotes in the collection could not be seen.
  • Fixed an issue where a unit could not be attacked if being pushed to the outskirts of the map.
  • Fixed some localization issues based on community feedback.
