[New build - EXPERIMENTAL] 21w32a: Event Gate replaces Query

The event gate can now listen to "value" event: they function very much like the old query gate.
For example you can trigger logic when a rotator angle goes below a given threshold.
  • All mechanism can be linked to an Event gate.
  • Vehicle Computer can output Power and Heat Percentage.
  • Old Query Gate will be migrated to the new gate format. The blueprint must be in .sevo format first!


Still WIP:
  • Event gate shows mechanism range of values (like on the old query)
  • Smarter input for percentage
  • Continuous mode: ie the event gate would produce continuously a value between 0 and 1 like a manual controller.
  • Event replace hotkey gate.


Bugfixes:

  • #4091 Prefab PNG preview not exporting.
  • #4082 Issue with laser and logic.

[New build - EXPERIMENTAL] 21w30a: Event Gate

The new Event Gate is added to the game!
It opens a new and exciting world of possibilities on the logic side.
Now logic can be triggered when "events" happens in the game.
For example: link a seat to the Event Gate. You can now trigger logic when any player sit down.

Some Features:
  • Events can be toggle like or pulse like
  • You can convert a toggle into a pulse
  • You can specificy a pulse length


Dont hesitate to suggest any event you would like to listen!

Hotfixes build.

New Features:

[New build - EXPERIMENTAL] 21w29a: Custom Docking Port

It is now possible to create custom docking port made out of several smaller Docking Connector.

To do so:
  • Link a Docking Config Gate to all the Docking Connectors of the custom design
  • Inside the Config Gate toggle the "Composite Mode" flag to "Merge Docks".
  • Assign a Tag if necessary, in case several different are being used.


Other changes:
  • A Faction tag has been added to the Codex Entity.
  • Station Module type setting is now at the level of Codex Entity.
  • Station spawn algorithm has been improved with better module collision check.
  • Station starter block is removed. A new way to test stations design will be introduced.


Upcoming changes:
  • The current cylindrical docking port will be removed.
  • A new ship friendly universal port will be introduced.
  • An iris door design will be introduced.

  • #3672 Pipe can clip through girder.


Bugfixes:
  • #3711 Windows Arch incorrect size preview.
  • #4012 Teleport menu not showing text.
