Icy Winter Mayhem!
What's Included this year?
+For a limited time, players will be able to earn the 2025 Winter Event skin: Iceborne Kronosaurus, as well as all previous year's Winter Event Skins: Iceblight Mosasaurus, Hyperboreos Coahuilaceratops, and Winter Snowflake Parasaurolophus.

Festive but Frosty!
New Snow-themed Map: Temporal Drift
+Temporal Drift is a snowy alpine mountain valley centered around a vast frozen lake. In its unedited form, the map naturally encourages herbivore migration between ice holes in the lake for water and the surrounding mountains for food. Each fishing-hole will count as its own source so characters will not get bored of the lake. The caves are now ice-caves! The weather has been fully adjusted for this alpine biome, the map features snow, aurora borealis, and blizzards.
Recommended Capacity: 100 Players
The map is medium in size. It is intended to be a conflict-centered map due to its layout encouraging pvp interaction. However, it is large enough that it can also be easily utilized as a survival or roleplay experience for smaller population servers.
Difficulty: Hard
Unedited, this map is intended to be hard. The landscape is perilous, the nights are dark, and the land is frigid. Travel is essential, and shelter may be difficult to spot beneath the snow. True to the land of eternal winter, players will find themselves putting their skills to the test to survive in this harsh, frozen mountianscape.
Centralized Clean Water & The Debut of the Rimewrath
The largest body of water is now in the center of the map as a large frozen lake! The sea can still rise from below and flood the map. This is our first map that isn't an island with an infinite expanse around the border! Instead, the map will take you to a parameter biome called the Rimewrath, which will have unrelenting storms that ignore all comfort effects, cloud your vision, and transport you the opposite side of the map.
These points are consistent, so this is not an effective way to escape combat. If both players enter the Rimewrath at the same spot, they will both exit at the same spot as well!
Interactive Material Displacement
The map is covered in special snow which uses interactive material displacement! In layman's terms, this means as you walk through the snow, the snow will respond to your character's movements. We have had this before on small stand-alone objects like mud patches on Titania, but this implementation adapts and incorporates that logic onto the landscape material itself.
Music
+There are four new biome music tracks associated with Temporal Drift. These are Frigid Lake, Ice Flats, Snow Forest, and Rimewrath. Each also has an accompanying, short, entry music track that plays when the biome is entered
+Added a new combat music track: Cold Blood. This is specifically for Temporal Drift.
+Added a new blizzard music track: Biting Cold. This is specifically for Temporal Drift.
+There is a new cave music track: Icy Cave. This is specifically for Temporal Drift.
Extra Notes
+There are floating icebergs in some of the larger lakes on Temporal Drift. The icebergs have the same logic as the raft on Titania and are found in most lakes in the Iceflats. They are to help people that get stuck on the ice during floods.
+The brightness of the night on Temporal Drift follows the lunar cycle. During gibbous or full moons, the map is very bright at night. During new or crescent moons, the map is very dark at night.
+Edible spruce trees and stumps have been added to the foliage placement tool
+Under the ice: frozen bubbles may be eaten to get additional air added to your breathbar
+When entering the Rimewrath, a frosty effect shows up on your screen.
+More caves, landmarks, and POI will be added to Temporal Drift in future patches. Edit the map at your own discretion as work may be lost upon future updates.
Admin
+Added console command: SetMoonCycle. Expects a value between 0 and 1. 0 is a full moon. 0.25 is a half moon waning. 0.5 is a new moon. 0.75 is a half moon waxing. This command requires SetWeather permissions.
+Added growth to the webhook combat log prints
+Added XMas_Tree as an actor to the foliage placement tool
Quality of Life
+All maps now have a lunar cycle. The moon has 8 phases and finishes its lunar cycle in 8 nights.
+Talent point reset has been given to every saved creature
Optimizations
+Various minor server-side CPU usage optimizations
+Adjusted game-wide collision settings in a manner that should result in a moderate server-side CPU optimization
Mechanics Changes
+Mechanics: Carcasses regurgitated by the Palaeophis now count as Regurgitated Meat
+Mechanics: All creatures that can eat meat now have a new dietary requirement for Regurgitated Meat. Creatures with 40% or greater of their diet consisting of regurgitated meat now have a chance of getting sick.
+Mechanics: The Palaeophis can eat up to 70% of its diet off of regurgitated meat
+Mechanics: You can no longer initiate an attack within 1.5 seconds of ending a Dart, a Lunge, or a Grab
+Mechanics: The Asphyxiation talent now deals breath bar damage to creatures that use air as a resource for breathing underwater in place of a breath bar. Any breath bar damage is now inflicted on their Air resource, and shows up as "Air" damage in the combat log.
Balance Changes
+Balance: The Swift Flippered talent is now half as effective at reducing the ability drain rate of coiling Lunge and half as effective at extending the duration of Lunge
-Note that with the buffs to the baseline Lunge performance in these aspects given to both Krono and Archelon, the end result is the same at 5/3 talent level. At all other levels of talent investment, this is a buff.
+Balance: Elusiveness now always breaks when damage is received
+Balance: Swapped talent locations of Archerfish and Herbalist on Mosasaurus
+Balance: Reduced the damage reduction effect granted by the talent Hard Headed while coiling Lunge by 50%
Archelon
+Balance: Increased Archelon baseline lunge time to 1.3, up from 0.75
+Balance (public): Reduced Archelon Ability drain rate while coiling Lunge by 42.3%
Kronosaurus
+Balance: Increased Kronosaurus baseline lunge time to 1.3, up from 0.75
+Balance: Reduced Kronosaurus Ability drain rate while coiling Lunge by 42.3%
+Balance: Increased Krono's base size by 25%
+Balance: Increased Krono's base weight to 4200, up from 3100
+Balance: Increased Krono's base health to 2300, up from 1850
+Balance: Reduced Krono's growth rate to 0.75x base, down from 0.80x. It now matches Apato, rather than Rex
+Balance: Increased Krono's base damage to 310, up from 305
Mosasaurus
+Balance: Increased Mosasaurus' base health to 1600, up from 1500
+Balance: Increased Mosasaurus' base damage to 170, up from 165
+Balance: Swapped talent locations of Archerfish and Herbalist on Mosasaurus
Parasaurolophus
+Balance: You now must remain in quadrupedal stance for five seconds before the Bull talent provides any damage mitigation. Leaving quadrupedal stance will immediately remove Bull's damage mitigation.
Bug Fixes
+Fixed: Using the critter shrines no longer disconnects the player from the server if they do not have the PossessEntity moderator permission
+Fixed: Ignored players now stay ignored between play sessions
+Fixed: The Achievement UI should now work reliably
+Fixed: Fish carcasses and Egg carcasses now properly save that they are from fish or eggs after a server restart
+Fixed: Profanity Filter should no longer include default words
+Fixed: Automatic Server messages from a previous server should no longer show on the new server when switching servers
+Fixed: Shortened Utah's collision capsule to better fit through house doors
+Fixed: Kapro's tail now properly reduces damage by 65% baseline, up from 50%. Note that Bruiser bypasses some or all of this effect.
+Fixed: Logging out to main menu no longer resets the default values on the client for the following resources: air, stamina, ability, comfort, bias, and venom
+Fixed: Client-side crash that would occur when players were wearing the Coahuilaceratops holiday cosmetic
+Fixed: Save files should now properly place players at appropriate spawn points reliably when transferring the save file from one map to another
+Fixed: Kapro now properly receives 35% damage from tail hits instead of the regular 50%. Note this still can be bypassed by players taking the Bruiser talent to deal more or even full damage to Kapro's tail.
+Fixed: Kapro no longer deals less damage than it's supposed to when biting other players on the tail
+Fixed: You can no longer spam click the Preview button in the skin customization UI, resulting in audio spam broadcasting to all other players

The Infection Spreads!

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
What's Included this year?
+For a limited time, players will be able to earn the 2025 Autumn Event skin: Cordyceps Acrocanthosaurus, as well as all previous year's Autumn Event Skins: Servant of Charon Megaraptor and Fall Decay Tyrannosaurus.
 • Cordyceps skin was made by Croww & Valhalla
 • The skins all have a glowing, bioluminescent layer.
 • The skins unlock separate equippable cosmetic overlays: Leafy Refuge for Acrocanthosaurus & Tyrannosaurus, and Charon's Splendor for Megaraptor. The unlocked overlays can go on any skin of their corresponding species.
 • Event skins for Acrocanthosaurus and Tyrannosaurus come with equippable mesh objects.
 • The Cordyceps skin also works for its subclasses: Carcharodontosaurus
Earning the Skins
+To unlock the skins and their overlays, players need to find and collect golden dinosaur idols scattered around the map.
 • Acrocanthosaurus Idols will unlock the Acrocanthosaurus Seasonal Skin
 • Tyrannosaurus Idols will unlock the Tyrannosaurus Seasonal Skin
 • Megaraptor Idols will unlock the Megaraptor Seasonal skin
 • The idols will be spawning on all servers and on both Life Cycle and Free Roam game modes.
+ Gathering idols will allow the player to progress through the achievement associated with earning the corresponding skin.
+ Completing skin achievements on any server will unlock access to the skin and cosmetics game-wide.
Idol Collecting Tips!
• The newest skin: Cordyceps Acrocanthosaurus will require gathering 50 idols to unlock. While all previous year's seasonal skins will require 35 idols to unlock.
 • The idols belonging to the newest skin will have a special compass icon different from the others. It looks like a gold star-burst border pattern.
 • The idols belonging to land species will only spawn on land randomly anywhere carcasses can spawn.
 • The Idols belonging to aquatic species will only spawn underwater randomly anywhere carcasses can spawn.
 • All Seasonal Skins are earned by collecting idols scattered around the map and returning them to a matching deity shrine.
 • All idols must be gathered on the same server to complete the achievement and unlock the skin, but they can be individually gathered by different creatures or during different lives.
 • Idols show up on the compass when nearby with a color themed for the deity shrine they belong to.
 • Turning in an idol will show achievement progress in the top-right corner of the screen
 • You should also be able to view the progress you've made towards unlocking the event skins by viewing the corresponding achievements in the achievements gallery's Limited Time Events page.
Myth: The newest type of idol isn't spawning because there is too many older event idols on the map.

Fact: Each idol type has its own maximum count which is maintained by the server. The count is not influenced by the amount of other types of idols, nor will turning in other kinds of idols promote the spawning of another species' idol.
There is likely 'less' of the newest idol because it is likely being utilised the most by other players.

Quality of Life Patch
New Content

Skins
+Added New Pachy Skin: Algae Vein by Krymsonfeather & Croww
+Added New Pachy Skin: King Pachy by Twilight & Natahi4
Talents
+Added twinkling animation to talent UI
+Added New Apatosaurus talent: Titan's Fortitude
-Removes damage reduction while whipping when investing a point, and instead applies damage reduction to your neck and front legs while using Neck Sweep or Stomp.
-When fully invested into the talent, it completely removes tail damage reduction during whip attacks and instead grants a 30% damage reduction to the front half of the Apatosaurus while performing a Stomp or Neck Sweep. The damage reduction calculation functions similar to how Coah’s frill damage reduction is determined.
-Inherits do not remove damage reduction on the tail while whipping, they instead apply damage reduction to the neck and front legs. This reduction will only take effect after a point has been invested.
-This talent is in talent socket P3.1 on Apatosaurus
-Note that negative inherits can never make you take less damage on the tail than baseline. They can, however, make you take more damage from the front while stomping.
+Added New Apatosaurus talent: Accelerator
-When sprinting straight forward, you will gain Frenzy stacks.
-Each talent point increases the number of Frenzy stacks you can accumulate by two. Inherits increase this value by one.
-Turning, walking, standing, attacking, or taking damage from another creature will cancel this effect.
-This talent is in talent socket M3.3 on Apatosaurus
+Added New Para talent: Bull
-You gain damage resistance while in quadrupedal stance
-This does not refund AP when hitting another Parasaurolophus, or when hitting a group member
-This talent is in socket S3.3
Admin
+Admin: Added new console command, SpawnClone
-This console command requires SpawnEntity permissions in the server config
-This console command has an optional player name / ID input argument. It will accept a player's name, their CID, or their steam ID. If left blank, it will target the player who used the command.
-This command duplicates a creature and places it on top of the player who used the command. It will be a perfect copy of their character, including all stats, cosmetics and skins, talents, and other relevant characteristics.
-This command is designed to be used for testing purposes. Duplicating someone's character will not result in their character dying or being lost if the clone dies.
- If no damage is dealt the clone will despawn after 300s

+Admin: Added new console command, removeplayerfromleaderboard
- This console command requires control server permissions
- This console command lets server mods remove players from the leaderboard.
Optimization
+Optimization: Various optimizations to improve AI critter server performance. This was expensive, so servers may run noticeably better after this change if the server has AI enabled.
+Optimization: Other various optimizations that will slightly improve server performance
QoL Changes
+QoL: Server admins are able to setup an automatic message and determine its interval of repetition in minutes with config variable AutoMessages=(Message="Message", IntervalMinutes=minutes, UTCTime="hours:minutes" Alert=true/false)
-Admins can either set a repeating message by setting IntervalMinutes or they can set a specific time for the message by setting UTCTime
-Example of repeating message: +AutoMessages=(Message="Message repeating every hour", IntervalMinutes=60, Alert=false)
-Example of timed message: +AutoMessages=(Message="Message at UTC 23:40 with alert", UTCTime="23:40", Alert=true)
-When setting the alert to true, the message is shown at the top of the screen similar to daily messages or server broadcasts. When setting it to false, the message is only displayed in chat.
-This goes under the [/Script/BeastsOfBermuda.ServerGameInstance] header in the Game.ini file

+QoL: Added a configurable profanity filter to the server config. Servers can decide to censor words by adding them to a list in the config. If a player types a filtered word, it will be starred out. +ProfanityWords="example"
-This goes under the [/Script/BeastsOfBermuda.ServerGameInstance] header in the Game.ini file
Balance Changes
+Balance: The talent Constitution now helps you recover more quickly from both status conditions of Sickness and Recovering from Sickness
+Balance: Venom and Bleed can no longer be dealt until you are at least 0.8 growth
+Balance: Egg no longer counts as meat for the dietary requirements of Velociraptor, Utahraptor, Megaraptor, Palaeophis, Pachycephalosaurus, Pteranodon, and Tropeognathus. Instead, it counts towards its own Egg dietary category. This category becomes unhealthy if it exceeds 75% of the creature's diet.
Kaprosuchus
+Balance: Kaprosuchus can no longer apply the Tendon Tear debuff until 0.8 growth
Palaeophis
+Balance: If the Palaeophis' diet is 50% or more egg, it will now regurgitate egg carcasses that provide egg food instead of meat or fish.
-This is to combat the Palaeophis being used as a means to feed other players off of eggs
+Balance: The Palaeophis can now gain up to 8 stacks of Frenzy by default, up from 7
Tyrannosaurus
+Balance: Tyrannosaurus rex's Devastating Ambush buff now continues to charge and remains active while crouched, regardless of whether or not the player is moving or stationary.
Wiehenvenator
+Balance: Wiehenvenator can no longer apply the Tendon Tear debuff until 0.8 growth

+Fixed: Setting the time of day in the creature editor with the sundial should no longer allow players to keep the time of day fixed to that time if they join a server after setting it.
+Fixed: Getting sick above 2.5 growth and resetting your growth to 1.0 no longer allows players to earn the achievement for surviving a 2.5+ growth sickness.
+Fixed: Various client and server crashes
+Fixed: Underwater effects should no longer have weird screen resolution when using Fidelity FX / FSR
+Fixed: Scent clouds should work again when effect quality are set to medium or low
+Fixed: The Wiehenvenator is now properly referred to as Wiehenvenator on the talent UI's dino information text header
+Fixed: Utah's eat and drink sounds now properly loop while eating
+Fixed: Mosasaurus can no longer double jump, or jump while darting out of the water
+Fixed: missing Pachy on Main Menu
+Fixed: Blocking players now persists through logging out or restarting the game
+Fixed: Changing keybinds no longer jams the set keybind action
+Fixed: Pteranodon no longer crashes clientside when trying to play its dance emote
+Fixed: As a female holding ready to lay eggs, any owned nests with eggs already placed will prompt for repair or laying eggs.
+Fixed: The setalltalentinheritsto console command no longer kicks the player and dirties their dinosaur if they use it without the correct admin perms.
+Fixed: Invisible Juniper trees on Titan's Rise
