We’ve been working on the next update for a while, and now it’s finally time. We’re happy to present v1.0.3, featuring:



🌸 More seasonal vibes (toggleable)
Look forward to cherry blossoms in spring, maple leaves in autumn, and snowflakes in winter.

🏯 New special Japanese building
A true highlight: a unique Japanese building that tourists will absolutely love.



📰 Dynamic news banner
News is now more dynamic, clearer, and easier to read — so you can quickly see what matters without constantly clicking around.

📺 32:9 screen support
Ultrawide fans, rejoice: 32:9 support is here — for more overview and more island.

💸 Buy enemies
Yes, you read that right: you can now buy enemies — a new option to spice up your strategies.

🧾 Yearly report opens automatically at year’s end (toggleable)
The yearly report now opens automatically at the end of the year, so you won’t miss your progress.

🆕 Accessibility options
More accessibility for everyone: high contrast, bigger cursor, outlined text — so Summer Islands feels good for everyone.

⚙️ Performance improvements & engine update
We’ve done a lot under the hood: engine update, optimizations, and noticeable performance improvements.

🔠 Improved umlauts (ÄÜÖ)
Small but important: umlauts now look better and display more reliably.

⚡ Bugfixes, bugfixes, bugfixes
And of course: a whole bunch of fixes — many small annoying issues are gone.
(But don’t worry… we’ll keep sneaking in new ones so you have something to hunt for 🌞)

As another year comes to an end, we’d like to take a moment to say thank you.

2025 has been a year full of great encounters, inspiring conversations, and unforgettable moments at the game festivals we attended. Meeting you in person and exchanging ideas has been incredibly motivating for us. Your feedback and enthusiasm have helped shape Summer Islands more than you might think.

The next milestone is already close:
Update v1.0.3 is just around the corner.

At the same time, we’re busy working on several new projects behind the scenes. Our next title will be a turn-based strategy game called Streak Of Power. Alongside that, we’re developing a Summer Islands board game and a smaller creative project named BEEING HIVE.

📺 Dynamic Resolutions
The zoom level has been removed! The resolution now automatically adapts to your screen size – with support for up to 4K!

🎞️ 21:9 Ultra-Wide Support
For those who love a wider view of paradise: Summer Islands now officially supports 21:9 monitors!

🍏 Mac Support (with limitations)
Great news for all Apple users! An official Mac version is now available. 🎉 However:

Our engine is based on Chromium, and support for **Apple M3 chips is currently missing
Many other programs face similar challenges with the M3, so **Mac support will not be officially marked in the store. Still, Mac users can download and play the Apple version via Steam** – but we cannot guarantee it will work perfectly for everyone.
