Hotfix Update 0.123.04

Greetings dinosaur hunters!

In this hotfix we address player feedback regarding spawn locations, controller inputs, and difficulty settings. Thank you for the valuable feedback - it helps us refine the experience.

New difficulty – Easy

We’ve introduced a new Easy difficulty option for players who prefer a more relaxed hunting experience.

Easy Difficulty
 • No bonus to Trophy & Contract Rewards
 • -10% damage taken from dinosaur attacks
 • No item loss on death

Difficulty Rebalance

We’ve adjusted Normal and Hard to better separate the risk–reward levels.

Normal Difficulty
 • Trophy & Contract Rewards increased from +0% → +20%
 • Normal damage from dinosaur attacks
 • Now lose some items on death (instead of more severe loss)

Hard Difficulty
 • Trophy & Contract Rewards increased from +50% → +60%
 • +100% Damage from dinosaur attacks
 • Lose more items on death
 • Non-vital hits deal less damage
 • Reduced map information

Spawn Point Improvements
 • Nearly tripled the number of player spawn locations on Tenebris
 • Added additional spawn locations to Moreau

These changes should significantly reduce excessive walking after unlucky respawns.

Controller Improvements
 • Blocked controller stick inputs when secondary controls are disabled
 • Increased controller dead zone size when secondary controls are active, but controller is not in use

These changes improve input clarity and prevent unintended movement.

Bug Fixes
 • Fixed an issue where footprints did not display correctly in multiplayer
 • Fixes for missing translations

Atmosphere Update 0.123 – New lighting system

Greetings dinosaur hunters!

This update focuses on improving the game’s core systems like the lighting and weather systems while also providing other important updates and bug fixes.
Thanks again for your continued support!

New lighting & sky system

The old lighting system has been replaced with a brand-new lighting and sky solution. This gives us much more control over how the world is lit and how the sky behaves under different conditions.

You may notice subtle changes in the overall look of the game, especially when looking toward the sun, with improved light scattering and atmospheric effects. This new system also gives us a stronger foundation for future visual tuning and features.

In addition, sea base and power plant lighting were improved on Tenebris Island. We’ll continue improving location specific lighting in the coming updates.

New weather system

Alongside the lighting overhaul, the weather system has been rebuilt. This new setup allows us to fine-tune weather behavior more precisely and expand it more easily in future updates. This system is an important step toward more dynamic and varied environmental conditions.

Performance improvements

Performance on Tenebris Island has been further optimized.

This includes internal improvements aimed at smoother gameplay, especially in more demanding areas of the map. As always, we’ll continue monitoring performance and making adjustments where needed.

Sound improvements

The following species have some new sound effects especially for attacking: Ankylosaurus, Carnotaurus, Compsognathus, Giganotosaurus, Iguanodon, Pachycephalosaurus, Spinosaurus and Triceratops.

In addition:
 • Helicopter pickup sounds were adjusted to be less massive.
 • Paddle sound repetitiveness was improved.

Other improvements
 • Dinos now navigate small blockers better
 • Float on water fix when not near water
 • Improved performance of tutorial map
 • Mosasaurus hitboxes were improved and new ones were added
 • Weekly challenges history includes 15 best players instead of 5
 • Several internal improvements were made to anti-cheat systems

Bug fixes
 • Fix for drag&drop issue on inventory close
 • Fixed flicker issue with a tree type
 • Fixed dinosaur angle check that caused dinos to do head stand or air biking
 • Fix for water point generation on custom maps
 • Fix for ocean rendering having issues with fog rendering
 • Fixed under water effect from being shown on the horizon.
 • Fix for fast travel on Tenebris, where player could clip through ground if crouching
 • Fix flashing on Tenebris when shooting. Removed distortion from muzzle flash as it caused ghosting

Aquatic Update 0.122 - Mosasaurus Now Huntable

Greetings dinosaur hunters!

A new update is released just in time for the holidays! The update introduces aquatic hunting with Mosasaurus now available as a huntable species.
To support this, a new harpoon rifle, a SUP board for water traversal, and improvements to water behavior have been added.

Thanks again for your continued support and happy holidays!

Hunting Mosasaurus

Players are now able to damage Mosasaurus. Please note regular firearms don’t penetrate water. To hunt Mosasaurus we introduce a new type of weapon: harpoon rifle. When Mosasaurus dies its body will surface.
Mosasaurus can be placed on regular, and head stand in the lodge.
New Mosasaurus skin types
Mosasaurus has now full set of seven skins from Common to Erythristic.
Mosasaurus AI update
Mosasaur navigation and diving logic was improved to make hunting it more intense.

New aquatic weapon: Harpoon rifle

From the shop you can find new category Aquatic equipment. In it you’ll find a single shot harpoon rifle. Regular firearms bullets stop on water surface. Harpoons being slower and more heavier will penetrate water making them ideal for hunting aquatic or semi aquatic species. A new ammo type harpoons has been added for this new weapon.

New items: SUP board and paddle

SUP board is another aquatic class item. You need to put it in one of the equipment slots and hit left mouse button to deploy the board. Deploy it on water. You can pick it back to your inventory by looking at the middle section of the board and when you see the tex change to “pick” press E and the board will be back at your inventory.
In order to stand on the board you need to press E when looking at all other parts of the board than the middle. You’ll need to purchase the paddle too if you want to get anywhere comfortably. It’s possible to use the board without the paddle but then you’re able to move very slowly. Paddle is equipped in one of the equipment slots too.
Please note that the board will remain in the place where you left it when you die.

Trophy lodge poses

We have created a system that allows players to change poses on dinosaurs in lodge. Currently these species have different poses that can be applied:
 • Tyrannosaurus Rex
 • Ankylosaurus
 • Carnotaurus
 • Gallimimus

We’ll add more poses to other species later.

Christmas items at the lodge

Three items were introduced to the lodge to give it a proper holiday makeup: Santa hat, present box and golden star

 • Wake in water created by player is now less in front of player while swimming
 • Fix for shallow water logic
 • Adjusted ocean waves in Tenebris sea base
