Update v1.19

[p]First and foremost we want to give a big thank you to Turn Based Thursday Festival for having us in their Steam showcase again this year. We are giving a huge 50% discount this week starting tomorrow! So tell your friends and family if they like turn-based RPGs to pick up Pixel Noir![/p][p]And now our patch update...[/p][p]Perseverance and patience- Yes we're still patching and yes we are still working on the Nintendo Switch port. In this patch we have even more player found bugs we fixed.[/p]
  • [p]Layering issues with Woof in the beginning of Ch7.[/p]
  • [p]No save label when saving in police station in Ch7.[/p]
  • [p]Directional mishaps when discovering the event that gets you a Summon for Shade in Ch7.[/p]
  • [p]Freeze in Ch7 when you trigger the event in police station when you walk up the stairs to trigger an event.[/p]
  • [p]Bad room transition in sewers.[/p]
  • [p]Bad dialogue key fixed for walking encyclopedia NPC in Southside.[/p]

[p]Yes we're still patching and yes we are still working on the Nintendo Switch port. We have some more player found bugs we fixed in this patch.[/p]
  • [p]Corrected Wrong Leftovers Description Reading wrong % of HP recovery.[/p]
  • [p]Corrected Wrong Hidden Location In Gazet in Uptown interiors.[/p]
  • [p]Fix To Walking Freeze After running away from Lab 4 events froze mid way in apartment cinematic.[/p]
  • [p]Infinate Chase We made an attempt to fix the chase issue where enemies can chase after you and not get into a battle forcing you sometimes into a corner causing soft locking in many cases.[/p]
  • [p]Static Blood Spatter Sometimes either after battle or in a cinematic the last frame of blood spatter may stay on a party member until you save/load or reset the game.[/p]
  • [p]Shade Freeze At the end of Personal Demons case if Shade is in the party the game would freeze after the last event.[/p]
  • [p]Temptation's Rage Shade's ssummon would cause either freezing or static special effects to stay on screen.[/p]
  • [p]Fix To Colliders In Policestation scene ch7.[/p]

Update v1.17

[p]Unless there's anything else that's broken this could be our final patch before we totally move to porting to Nintendo Switch / Switch 2. Spanish localization will be patched into the Steam version of the game once Pixel Noir is live on the Nintendo eshop. We are doing this in hopes to boost sales once the Switch port is released.   • [p]Cloud Saving! You will now have the ability to use cloud saving to keep your data safe and play the same save data between Steam Deck and Desktop! [/p]
  • [p]Weird directional change when running This has been happening when you select to run then cancel out then try to run again.[/p]
  • [p]Fix disconnected events in Personal Demons case This was causing a freeze in the events at the Towers in Sprawls.[/p]
  • [p]Fix to ch2 prison fight When player fights Woof in the prison yard in NG+, stats now match up as to not elongate the battle. [/p]

Update v1.16

[h3]Happy one year anniversary since the launch of Pixel Noir![/h3]

It's patch time again...!

- Backend Checkpoint Feature Added! When the player enters a new scene, it will save a checkpoint. A checkpoint can be used multiple times no matter how many times you leave and come back into a scene. However, if upon entering a scene, a event immediately triggers, it won't save a checkpoint, but instead use the previous scene as a checkpoint. When the player gets a game over, the game will start over from the checkpoint instead of loading from the last save point. A checkpoint is not a save. If you quit or close the game, you will have to load from your load data. You won't be able to manually load a checkpoint from the load menu.

- Shade has a new summon! It's called Temptation's Rage which damages an enemy and can cause Enrage and Confusion status effects.

- Fix to characters walking in place in events. This has been happening sometimes.

- Fixed moving buff / de-buff and status effect icon positioning in battles. When the camera would zoom for various reasons it would change the positioning of these.

- Fix to collider on the dead body at the crime scene in ch1. This was way off the target so we moved it and made the interaction larger for easier access.

- Polish to ch2 where the player fights Woof in the prison yard.

Update v1.15.4

Here's another patch addressing the issues players found at Super MAGFest 2025.

- Fix to stopped progress in Ch4 train sequence of events due to vanguard characters not parented to the train causing a bad walk path.

- Fix to stopped progress when starting a new game and pressing / holding in any direction while the ch1 comic cutscene is playing.

- Fix to mini-map random appearances in credits screen in the end game..

- Fix to possible freeze where if a player pushes an NPC while trying to interact with their attached cinematic.

- Fix to various layering glitches.
