Lunar New Year

Our new even starts soon. More about it in the video. Stay tuned!

New robots: Dragons
Available with the Lunar New Year event

Dragons' ability allows them to fly. When Dragons are on the maximum height, they activate an extra weapon that keeps shooting as long as you're flying.

Red Ao Qin is an affordable robot for middle leagues. When flying, it activates a long-range energy beam that automatically sticks to the target in range.

Green Ao Guang is the most reliable Dragon. When flying, it takes significantly less damage from all sources. Equipped with homing missiles for mid-range shootouts.

White Ao Jun is made for high-risk high-reward attacks. Built-in flamethrower works best for fighting up-close, and Stealth that activates in the flight mode lets Ao Jun cover large distances safely.

Balance changes

Buffs for robots:
  • Invader Damage resistance +33% (while in the air + for 5 seconds upon landing)
  • Rayker Ability charges 2 → 3, ability cooldown 8 → 10 sec
  • Natasha Movement speed (at level 12): 36 → 38 kph, durability: +5%
  • Butch Movement speed (at level 12): 39 → 43 kph, durability: +10%
  • Raven Movement speed (at level 12): 44 → 47 kph, durability: +6,5%
  • Lancelot Movement speed (at level 12): 30 → 33 kph, side shields durability: +12,5%
  • Stalker Movement speed: 66 kph at all levels
  • Gepard Durability: +10%
  • Bulwark Physical shield: +10%

Buffs for weapons:
  • Shredder Bullet spread reduced
  • Sting, Wasp Damage +10%
  • Redeemer, Thunder Damage +5%
  • Ion Damage +7.5%

Hellburner nerf

Ability duration: 7 → 5 sec, Ability cooldown: 3 → 5 sec
- reduces the speed advantage (Hellburner now has to close the distance more carefully)
- gives skilled Hellburner players more control over their explosions (as the delay before explosion is lower now)

Self-inflicted damage (on ability use): 15000 → 12.5% of max durability
- makes mistakes more costly on higher levels

Ability damage upon death: 59750 → 29875
- makes dying on Hellburner less rewarding

Upgrade timers reduction

At some levels upgrade timers stretch for too long. We want exciting milestones to happen more often, so we cut down upgrade times across the whole weapons/robots list.

You can find all the details here

Module tweaks

  • Destrier, Cossack, Vityaz, Patton, Gareth, Jesse, Golem, Boa: Module slots removed
  • Gepard, Stalker, Rogatka, Bolt: 2 passive slots → 1 active slot
  • Leo, Griffin, Natasha, Doc, Fujin: 2 passive slots → 1 passive slot, 1 active slot

Update 4.7 preview. GRAPHICS REVERSED!

Greetings, pilots! After the release of remastered graphics update, we’ve spent lots of time gathering your feedback and analysing our data. That’s the reason we’ve been rather silent recently - we wanted to know our next steps and come with a decision made.

First of all, thank you for your feedback! Although beta-version was a success, the main branch release didn’t go as flawlessly as we expected. As we’ve said, this exclusive update for Steam was an experiment and depended heavily on your reaction.

We’ve seen all threads and discussion, this one this one in particular (special thanks to Bio-Break!). And based on your feedback, we’ve decided to reverse the graphics. The change comes with 4.7 update (coming in the nearest future).

The remastered graphics update was an important experiment for us, and we will definitely use this experience to further develop all War Robots platforms.

Yours,
War Robots team

Update 4.6. Meet modules!

Hey there, pilots! Update 4.6 has come with its main feature - Modules. What are they and how do they work?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QD2q9FpY3_Y

Modules

Modules are the new sort of equipment that gives your robots unique perks and abilities. With one module you can escape certain death once per battle. Another allows you to hunt stealthed targets. With third, you can patch yourself up on the go — and so on.

Active modules give your robots new active abilities. To use them you need special Power Cells that you acquire from many sources.

Passive modules are more like regular equipment. You can buy for Gold and upgrade them for Silver like your weapons or robots. Some passive modules increase your stats. Others are more skill-based: you should think fast and act smart to make the most out of their perks.

Power Cells starter bonus

To ensure that everyone can start using Active Modules right away, we give a hefty amount of power cells to all pilots, both active and returning. The higher your league is, the more Power Cells you receive. You can find the exact numbers here.

Battle Rewards changes

  • WR Royale Tokens removed from Battle Rewards
  • Power Cells added to Battle Rewards

Bug fixes

  • Black Market - fixed a bug causing Super Chest bar to fill slower than intended. The compensation (5000 keys progress for every 8000 keys spent this season + 5 Supply Drops) will arrive a week after 4.6 release on your platform
  • Bulwark - fixed a bug causing rockets to deal double damage to Aegis barrier
  • Mender, Weyland - fixed a bug causing Repair not to restore robot's Durability in certain conditions
  • In-game ads - fixed a bug causing Ads to break the in-game sound

Public Beta branch: REMASTERED GRAPHICS!

Hello, pilots! We've been working on something big (like, really BIG) for War Robots Steam recently and finally ready to announce it.

We've already experimented with Beta-versions on Steam, bringing exclusive features like configurable controls or gamepad support. But we haven't fully used the potential of the PC-version yet. Time to improve it!

We present you the "Remastered Graphics" beta branch!

How do I enable beta?

  • Open Steam Library in All Games mode
  • Right click on War Robots
  • Select Properties from the menu, Properties popup should appear
  • Switch to Betas tab
  • Select beta from the list

After that Steam should update the game automatically. When it’s done, you're ready to play.

Can I switch to standard version?

Totally! If you want to switch back to the regular game - open Properties - Betas tab once again and select “NONE”.

Will my progress be saved?

Yes. In Beta, you use the same account so any progress will be saved.

The same goes for any purchases you make. However, keep in mind that in Beta we don’t guarantee the same level of quality as for the stable branch. You may proceed on your own risk.

How do I leave feedback? Tell about a problem?

You can write any feedback about Beta here [email protected]
Found a bug or encountered a problem?
Fill in the form https://wr.app/steam_beta_report_form and you can receive 400 Au!

Known issues:
  • Visual artefacts on Canyon, Yamantau and Carrier maps when minimizing and restoring the game. If this has happened, try reloading the game
  • Golem animation bug - sometimes it hangs in the air
  • When robots receive critical damage, problems with effects and walk can occur
  • Robots can be stuck in the air when landing
  • Weapons can be fancily positioned on the robots
  • Resolution settings are "Low" by default. Owners of powerful video cards can set desired settings manually

You can also write in this thread.

Will graphics from Beta appear in the main branch?

That's the plan. As soon as Beta is stable enough, we will implement the same features in the main version.

Enjoy the game and join us in Beta Discussion group if you have any questions!
