Update 0.1.1

[h3]General[/h3]
  • Added new environmental fog to spectator views in all maps.
  • Spectator Free camera now available in Station.
  • Removed unnecessary logos from around UI.
  • Reworked ingame UI with updated controller support.
  • We have adjusted the way the camera functions.
  • In game camera will no longer “letter box” due to constrained aspect ratio. We are aware that this may cause balance issues on super wide screens in larger maps, but would like to test the impact on gameplay.
  • Player name character limit increased to 20 before being truncated.
  • Chat text will now wrap correctly.
  • Removed rain storm from character select screen.


[h3]Brimstone Shards (Ultimates)[/h3]
  • Brimstone Shard (Ultimate) has received visual updates.
  • Brimstone Shard (Ultimate) will now spawn on the centreline in Bamball.


[h3]Battlepriest [/h3]
  • Hallowed Ground will now cast correctly on the grates in Chamber.


Engineer
  • Engineers Ultimate will now spawn in Bamball maps.


[h3]Rooftops[/h3]
  • Updated roof collisions on left of map.

  • Station is now smaller, more action packed and even has a new lick of paint!


[h3]Key bindings[/h3]
  • Users can now correctly bind Q W E R I A S D keys!
  • Added a quick “clear key” option on keybinding menu. This will be replaced with a “duplicate key” prompt in an upcoming patch.

Brimstone Brawlers has launched into Early Access!

Welcome to the city of Brimstone - we want to thank everyone for joining us on this journey. We couldn’t have gotten this far without our wonderful community - we would love for you to join us on Discord. Your feedback and thoughts can help us make the best game possible.

We’ve spent over two years working on the game so far but we’re far from over - we have many exciting new features and content coming!

Boxer
  • Ultimate size increased by 30% and the duration increased by 1s.

Engineer
  • The Engineer can now cast her ultimate without being dragged along with the airship.


Traveller
  • The Travellers ultimate will now spawn a stacking buff when it hits an enemy. This buff will eventually explode, launching the target brawler.

  • Meteors will now spawn in the gym.

Over the last two months we have been developing backend systems which unfortunately means there is slightly less content coming out this weekend. We are hard at work preparing the game to make sure we can implement future systems such as dedicated servers, matchmaking, profiles, experience, cosmetics and more!

  • Player speed has been tweaked slightly across the board.


[h2]General (Bamball)[/h2]
  • Spawn points now only exist at the center line at the top of the map. We found that spawning brawlers using the existing system would create unfair situations mid game. By spawning players in the middle there is no clear advantage or disadvantage if the ball is on one side of the field or another.

[h2]Maps[/h2]
[h3]Bamball Field (New)[/h3]
  • Map added in testing mode. This field is in the middle of Brimstone and will feature in the tutorial map.

[h3]Bamball Sewer (New)[/h3]
  • Map added in testing mode. This map has been developed based off the same assets of the new Chamber map. It differs from existing Bamball maps as you can knock players off the edge and through the goals!


[h3]Manor[/h3]
  • Updated fountain and hedge props in the middle of the map.
  • New Ultimate Meteor mechanic added.


[h3]Station[/h3]
  • Updated luggage and chair prop placement to create more space for brawling.

[h2]Bug fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed bug where playing solo game modes after Bamball would cause errors with map selection via gamepads.
