Community Event #4 is coming in hot! We have together through three community events. From the initial tips collection to "Bear’s Hug" the " Hunt the Officials", and last week's "Hulao Gate". Now we have arrived our final community event. We hope that the previous events have helped to relieve your fatigue and brought you moments of joy!

Thank you to everyone who participated, and we appreciate your support and understanding. Because of you guys, this community becomes more and more vibrant and prosperous.

  • During the event, upload your most memorable highlights or funny moments in the Dragonrise Season (such as: Bear’s Hug, Hulao Gate, etc.) in video or image to the official DC channel (https://discord.gg/DTYb4KbUay) 。
  • Each participant has only 2 chances to upload (if more than 2 uploads, only earliest message will be considered).

Open World PTR Testing Recruitment

Player experience has always been our top priority in the game.

Following the announcement of the new Open World Overhaul, our team has received a lot of feedback and various opinions from our esteemed generals. We realized that the new Open World still needs time to be polished to become ideal!

Therefore, we will be inviting players from around the globe to participate in this New Open World Collaborative Testing.

Through this collaborative testing, we will employ various methods to collect genuine player experiences, as well as expectations for the future official version, and continuously obtain guidance for further adjustments.

[h3]Player feedback will always illuminate the path forward for our game's future.,[/h3]
  • All players who successfully participate in the PTR test will receive a "PTR - Vanguard Pack" in the official server.
  • Players who complete all in-game surveys will receive a "PTR - Comradeship Pack" in the official server.
  • The top-ranked houses in this collaborative testing will have the opportunity to distribute official server-wide rewards under their corresponding official server house’s name.
Eligibility for the test:
  • All content creators invited by the official team are eligible to participate in this collaborative testing.
  • Active house leaders from each server will receive an invitation and collect information through the "House Registration Questionnaire." After the questionnaire is completed, an email will be sent to all eligible house members, granting them testing eligibility.
  • Individual players either not invited by the official team nor from active house will need to fill out the form in this article to obtain testing eligibility,

After the first reveal of new Open World rules, we received a lot of feedback from all of you through various platforms! We realized that the new Open World still needs time to be polished to become ideal!
So this time, We will open the PTR and invite everyone to research together!

This test will be divided into two types of registration: House registration and individual registration.

  • House registration will be notified uniformly through in-game mail. So, all House leader please pay attention to your in-game mailbox.

[h2]Frontline Letters: Q&A[/h2]

[h3]Q: Class skills should be equipped onto specific weapons[/h3]
Refugee Bobo:Similar to how runes work, skills should equip onto weapons so that mid-game you can change your weapon and thus change your skills to better suit what's happening at the time.
The best example of this, if you have 2 musket crafts, one suited for agility musket build and the other stuited for bomb musket, if ablities were attached to specific weapons as runes are, you could switch between. This wouldn't just effect musket, just musket is the best example.

A: This is an very interesting idea! Adjust skills accordingly when switching weapons can indeed take the customization in game a step further, but it will affect weapon balance currently. We will not simply modify this issue; instead, we will consider optimizing it in a more user-friendly system in the future! Thank you all for your thoughts and discussion.

[h3]Q:Allow players to Rename their equipment during reforge.[/h3]
3ro_Mickobo3ro : It would add some humor and flavor in allowing players to customize their equipment, especially weapons.
e.g. Player X reforges his Spear and renames it to "Cute Little Pinky."
Coinciding with this, it would be incredibly funny if the Death messages were changed if a player dies beause of a hero skill.
e.g. "Player X killed Player Y with his Cute Little Pinky using Dragon's Roar.

A: A humorous battlefield broadcast seems interesting, but at the same time, there could be issues with filtered words. We could consider using an in-game system to provide a word library for players to make customized choices? How is this idea to everyone?

[h3]Q:Balancing Suggestion: Claymores[/h3]
AkAzad:In response to the changes in the current environment, the slowdown effect of Claymores 3 skills after 15 seconds makes it difficult to operate effectively and flexibly in the current environment. In addition, the mechanism of forcing three-star units to cooperate is not suitable for the current environment, and the skill cycle is not reasonable enough, making it difficult to operate effectively in the current environment. The following suggestions are recommended for effective battlefield performance in the current environment:
Adjust the debuff effect of Claymores 3 skills and remove the movement speed penalty. The rest does not need to be adjusted; the cooldown of 3 skills is reduced to 40 seconds

A: Indeed, Claymores is among the units we're considering for adjustments. Your thoughts and suggestion of it are very helpful! Currently, we're think about to remove the movement speed penalty. If you have any further ideas, please feel free to start any new conversation. Don't worry, all these balance adjustments will be test strictly in PTR before officially launch.

[h3]Q: Make Ranked an acceptable House Quest requirement[/h3]
StarBurst: House Quests is very important for Territory Wars and everybody wants to have as much reputation as possible for the eventual battle. People play and grind the game in all different ways... ranked, normal siege (with seal system) or free battles etc... General Suggestion: Add ranked as an acceptable game-mode for farming house quests, so that everyone can enjoy all parts of the game。

A: As the Open World announcement was made in previously, new rules for the Open World 2.0 is being explored carefully! This idea is very valuable, as we hope all generals can find enjoyment and a sense of accomplishment in various "Open World" activities. We will seriously consider this and look for ways to improve the experience for all generals.

April 11th Update Log

[h3]Greetings, Warlords! [/h3]

We will carry out a regular maintenance from 12:30 to 15:30 (UTC+8) on April 11th Beijing time. The maintenance is expected to last for 3 hours. After the maintenance, we will distribute 8,000 Bronze Coins, 300 Honor, and 15 Unit Medals as compensation for any inconvenience caused. Generals, please arrange your game time accordingly.

  • Optimized some of the processes in beginner mission.

[h3]2. Unit Adjustment[/h3]
  • [Prefecture Pikemen] no longer rely on [Pike Militia] to unlock in Unit Tree, and the position of the [Pike Militia] in the Unit Tree has changed.
  • If the Mastery is not available for the Units, the Mastery interface will be hidden

[h3]3. Territory War Related[/h3]

Adjust the levels of some Region Capitals.
  • The level of [Haojing] has been adjusted from 15 to 12.
  • The level of [Anliang] has been adjusted from 12 to 15.

[h3]4. [Hulao Gate] [/h3]
  • Fixed the issue where the siege tower's position could be abnormal.
  • Fixed the issue where the Battering Ram was unable to strike when the gate is open.
  • Fixed the issue where generals on the defender's side could not respawn when killed during phase transitions.
  • Fixed the issue where characters on both sides were flickering during the settlement animation.

  • Fixed the issue of 4-set effect in [Black Sun Anchorite], [Fearless Paladin], and [Empire Knight] could not be immune to dismounting skills.

  • Fixed the issue of abnormal display for certain Unit Attires.
  • Fixed the issue of excessive memory usage in the game.
  • Optimized the default server display logic for the game launcher.
  • Fixed the issue where the Fireproof Armor was not working properly.
  • Fixed the issue where an empty window would appear when purchasing in the store without selecting a discount coupon.
  • Fixed the issue where the prosperity of a fief would not increase or decrease accordingly during the weekly maintenance

[Hulao Gate] Briefing:
  • In addition to defending the flag points, you also need to protect your objectives!

Last week, we've diligently compiled all the feedback from our esteemed Warlords and handed it over to our development team for future optimizations. Today, we'll delve into some of the selected inquiries and feedback to provide you with answers and insights. Let's dive in and see what suggestions our Warlords had in mind!
    Q:classes vs pike mechanics
    EveryonelovesaZombie (LZ): In regard to the Longsword & Shield and Pike mechanics, given that Longsword & Shield skill [With Valor] is a staged skill, using basic attacks between stages leads to the skill entering the cooldown stage. I hope it can be considered to let it function like the Pike, where basic attacks can be mixed in with combos.
  • A: This is a great idea, a very valuable thought. However, the longsword and shield are inherently heavy weapons, this special positioning makes them not as flexible as pikes. Swinging heavy weapons takes a lot of effort, and it also limits the emotes! Currently, heavy heroes are a bit overpowering in the game and won't be adjusted immediately in the short term. However, in the future, we will take into consideration the opinions of all players and we hope that you can express more to us! Thank you very much!

    Q: Mastery Surveys are Biased
    omar_uav: Heavy Prefecture Cavalry are the best from the category of masteries, just like as how Rattan Marksmen were only known good from the mastery and now meta.
    Mastery was a good idea buffing units that were nearly non usable, now its buff already good units to meta.
  • A: The team have received your suggestions regarding the Mastery. They will fully consider the unique circumstances of the Unit. Unit’s Mastery will be introduced to players early through questionnaires and tests, and we will continue to optimize the communication process. In the future, more units will receive Mastery upgrades, and we hope that everyone can join together and conduct a satisfied result!!

    Q: UI Improvement for House Diplomacy
    Foghladha:When listing houses under deplomacy sort the house list by level first in descending order. This will put all the active houses at the top of the list and all the sleeping houses at the end of the list. It will make the system more new player friendly and speed up the time it takes to find a house to join. Nobody wants to click through 100+ pages of dead houses.
    Also please remove the same region requirement to join a house. It's an unnecessary roadblock.
  • A: We have noticed it as well! The region restriction for joining a family is indeed an outdated setting, and we will consider removing it in future updates. Thank you for your suggestions; we will continue to optimize this part of the experience and hope everyone looks forward to the improvements!

    Q: XP Requirements for different star units
    HeManOfficial: The Gold, Purple, Blue and Green/White need to have different XP requirements to level up. 300,000 for leveling up once for both Winged Hussars and Ironcap Scout Cavalry doesn't make sense. At least new players should be able to catch up a bit quicker.
  • A: The growth of new players has always been a focus for us. In future updates, we will use various methods to help players smoothly transition through their growth period! Thank you very much for your thoughts!!
