Hotfix Early Access v0.0.0.1b

Hotfix Early Access v0.0.0.1b

Sup everyone!

While we’ve been heads down working on the Xbox One version for the past couple weeks, this hasn't kept the team from working on bugs, crashes, fixes, polish and overall optimisation among other things.

We have gathered feedback and issues you've encountered in the forums and messages we received and came up with our second of many more Hotfixes to come :)

Thanks a lot for your feedback and do no hesitate to give us more. We hope these fixes will help you with some of the issues you've encountered and will make you appreciate the game a little more! ;)

We've highlighted the main issues we fixed / worked on, along with many other small things that have been done that weren't worth mentioning, but should nonetheless help with the overall experience too.

Below is an overview of the more important issues we fixed / worked on in the game for this update.

Montage Tool

With this update, we fixed a number of issues and crashes within the Montage Tool and added a new camera playback mode to help when keying camera angles.

Skating Experience

- Push strength has been increased.

- Near Camera position has been slightly adjusted.

- On a general note, several flip trick’s have been reworked and corrected for all stances.

- Grind connectivity has been tweaked to ease the alignment.

- Rotations have been smoothed out and should now be easier to 180 consistently.

- Respawn (after bailing on a grind) close camera bug has been fixed.

- Reverts can now be adjusted/deactivated from the Options / Gameplay Menu

- Goofy (Reg’s Switch) Smith/Feeble and Willy/Over Willy are now working as designed.

Art

- General performance should feel better/smoother and some FPS gain should be noticed

- Optimisation has been made to reduce the GPU usage.

- Overall city collision fixes.

- Overall art optimisation.

- Night light has been improved

- Shadow distance and cascade have been optimised.

Developer note:

Manual catch state and manual trick catch Issues

In its current state, Manual and Automatic catch modes are sharing the same database.
In order to fix the ‘’manual catch late shuv bug’’ and to make the development of the feature more efficient, we decided to separate both databases and give manual mode its own. This way, it will be much easier to work on manual catch mode without impacting the results of the automatic one. This implies bigger changes than a singular bug fix, forcing us to keep a working automatic catch treflip at the expense of a broken manual flip tricks for the moment. Basically, the ‘’manual catch late shuv bug’’ won't be fixed with this patch. We thank you for your patience! With this new method, it will give us the necessary freedom to make both tricks modes shine as much as possible.

Thanks and more to come!

Hotfix Early Access v0.0.0.1a

Hey homies,

First and foremost!

Thanks EVERYONE for supporting us over Early Access!

So far, reception is great and we are definitely excited to start this journey with you guys!

As you might know, crea-ture is formed of 6 extremely devoted developers.
Yesterday was a big day for us and we already knew by the fact we are a small team, strange and nasty bugs that we never encountered during dev would happen.

As of day one, we quickly found that a lot of you had issues with Reverts and more than we expected are on Windows 7.

1. Mannequin shader Issue

Through watching user videos, we found (even though it wasn't breaking the experience) the presence of a weird super pale skin shader and shadow oily stains bugs in Epic Mode.

2. Windows 7 fix

Even though Windows 7 wasn't part of the minimal requirements, we still wanted to try our best fixing it so you guys can enjoy SESSION as too.

So with this Hotfix, Windows 7 users should now be able to play.

***One important note to keep in mind*** Since Microsoft announced that Windows 7 will become officially an unsupported platform in January 2020 could with the fact we have upcoming features that includes Third Party tools only supporting Windows 8+, we may not be able to support this platform as efficiently in the future.

Reverts

Reverts should now be a little easier on lower frame rates. This should help using the revert feature and complete the Tutorial.
We may still have to work on that particular issue as it seems to be also bound to different/untested controller hardware. Thanks for letting us know regarding that subject.

GPU Crash

Another issue we are looking at is the GPU crash.
Unfortunately, this is a pretty bad one and not related to the actual game but to some particular configuration of different video cards and unreal engine core.

We found out overclocked computers often have this issue (diagnosed on several other Unreal Engine based games) or caused by outdated video cards.

Until we find a solution, we invite you to limit your frame rate in the options and if it isn't enough, lower the dynamic shadow quality as they seem to be the bottle neck in most situations. Since the game is currently 100% dynamic lighting, it is definitely more demanding on the GPU.

Lots of optimizing in progress since we are also hard at work trying to get Session in the hands of Xbox One players for XGP as soon as possible as we promised, so stay tuned. But, don't worry we are still working in parallel on the Steam version fixing bugs, etc.

Also, we are currently working on making our road map more accessible and will be sharing that with you soon!

MASSIVE THANKS from the entire crea-ture Team!

Cheers and have a great sesh!
