And about Allies, Survivor NPCs. I haven't fixed it much, which I will develop within patch 0.5.2. So, the next 0.5.2 will be patch for AI Refactor and Quest only.

Refactor

Bug fixes
  • When respawning while mist event, the ambient sound will reset to daylight sound.
  • NPC spawn overlapping
  • Scott : cutting tree task assign
  • Scott : After finished his task, He didn't come back to the camp.
  • Press ESC while using dogtag freeze UI
  • While moving building or object. if you hold down Rotate and then press 'Left Mouse Btn'. It won't be able to continue rotating in the next move command.

New Area
There are areas that are being developed. I have marked it on the map. You will see the message 'Wip Area'. New areas will be added continuously with every update.

This is the WIP area that will be added next. (Housing estate)




Co-op And UE5
Last month, I spent about a month testing out Co-Op modes and moving the project to UE5. Once Zone 1 is finished I will move the project to UE5 and start adding new zone (Zone 2 through the tunnel after defeating Tank).

    For the UE5, it's not just a better visual, but Nanite and world partition are very powerful and impressive. Here are some pictures taken from the UE5 (It's quite rough. Haven't adjusted much).



  • Co-Op

    And for Co-Op mode. Actually The game was designed for single player, and I wasn't able to add Co-op Mode directly. I didn't plan for that in the first place. it would take a lot of time to do that.

    So, i have to craft it from scratch, As far as I've tried It doesn't take much time compared to the old version I made. Because I don't have to worry about environment, map, level design, and many things that have been done.

    And for that, It's a great opportunity to add full controller support XD. Oh, and don't worry I have a friend who will help this time. So, there are currently 2 programmers working on this project. :)

Hello Everyone,

These are some features that are currently being developed. And there are some parts that can't be updated for now, such as bug fixes, NPC refactoring, etc.

And these are WIP features for 0.5.1. which I may update on beta first, to test for about 1-2 weeks before changing it to the default branch.

Infected, Mutant Ai


  • Seeker



  • Alpha type mutant (WIP)

    I haven't given her a name yet. This mutant is the same mutant as Seeker. But with different abilities. Her screams will summon the infected horde to attack you.


System, Gameplay

Hello everyone

I've noticed about some lag which I checked. cause by drivable cars and some construction which will be fixed next. And there are also many missing sound effect including the physic materials of many objects as well I will gradually add them in every update.

Bug fixes
  • Freeze on enter game, takes a very long time to enter the game : I have fixed and refactor some class. It will reduce the time to enter the game by about 50-60%, which can actually be reduced even more. I will fix more later.
  • The mist did not disappear after mist event had passed.
  • Can't wear hard hats.
  • Bear's attack causes player endless fall under the ground while player is climbing.
  • TreeBase missing tree after loading the game
  • Compass can display only one icon
  • Dog dissappear : Actually, it's somewhere But it was unable to return to the base itself.
  • Dog does not return to base when selecting unfollow command
  • Dog always attack bandit corpse
  • Dog cant mark infected or bandits as target (Single Target by middle mouse)
  • Dog attack command can targets an unlimited range (Random Targets)
  • infinite Harvest fish : fish has no longer be put in Inventory
  • Undrivable/Static Cars's invisible collision block weapons and guns

** First, For a black screen that freezes when starting the game or It takes too long to enter the game at the start. i have noticed that and still working on it. **

Pet

Local Green Mist/Fog

Green mist area will hurt you If you step in without a gas mask. Actually the green mist come with 'Biopod' (Which I'm working on). The idea is you can clear green mist area by destroying Biopod using fire source weapons. But for now, the green misty area will remain constant until the Biopod arrives.

** There are still some issue about FPS dropping where the fog overlapped **



Gas Mask
  • Add Gas mask to passive gear menu
  • To Use Gas mask press 'T'
  • Hold 'T' while wearing the Gas mask to change fillter

Hello everyone,

For those who want to test the beta version please go to game icon in steam app -> right click -> properties -> BETAS -> and select 'beta - 0.5.0'

First, there are 3 zones that are still in development. 'Sawmill', 'Village', 'Old Factory' (Red Mark)



And for the map. Map will no longer change from now on. This is the final version of the landscape 'first zone' we used. But will be more zone and area instead. (there will be 3 more zones in the future)

[h2]Fishing[/h2]
  • You can access fishing UI from inventory
  • Press Middle mouse to use (need 4 items Rod, Reel, Line, Lure)
  • Left mouse to throw
  • Left mouse when fish hook to start
  • Right mouse for reel and pull fish
  • Control the rod in the opposite direction of the fish. to keep the fish from escaping
  • Be careful not to keep the line red for too long. It will tear the line.

  • You can get pets by releasing them from the cage. (mini quest)
  • To access pet command press and hold 'Alt' command UI will show up.
    • Pets attack command : While attack command is marked, all in sight target will mark as red. You can then specify a target selection by pressing 'Middle Mouse'.
    • Pets Follow/UnFollow Command : You can choose 1 pet to travel with you by set this cmd to Follow.
  • Releasing 'Alt' to confirm command
  • Pet Status And Inventory : Pets will have 3 equipment slots, which is now only 'Body slot' available.
  • The number of attacks the pet can do will depend on the stamina value, which can automatically
    regenerate or feed them food for instant value add.

  • This does not work if the player is set as their target already.


[h2]Random Event, Trade System[/h2]
** About trade system, I haven't set the value of the item yet. You can trade those items for free.
  • Random events will always appear with an explosion sound
  • When the event appears You will find event markers on the compass UI or you can locate events using map markers.
  • Random event will reward you for 1 item
  • Random events allow you to trade rare items from survivors.


[h2]Weapons Modify[/h2]

  • You can find modify section in inventory UI
  • Modify part give you more damage to enemy
  • Some part will give you ability to take down enemy in a single blow
  • To use take down ability (scissor modify part) press 'Right Mouse Btn' to activate focus attack. Get close to enemy until cross hair go red
  • You can use focus attack to take down enemy from both front and back

  • To craft vehicle parts you will need 'Mechanics' NPC
  • To access customization section, park your car in the garage. Check the cube on workbench if its green, You can then interact with the cube using the customization section.
  • Every customization requires Mechanic NPC.
