Endzone: Survivor Edition is Now Available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S

Today, we have proudly launched our Endzone - A World Apart on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Titled Survivor Edition, including Endzone’s first game-enriching DLC called “Prosperity”.

Brave the destroyed surface of the Earth and rebuild a semblance of home for the world’s last remaining humans — or die trying.

Steeped in a world poisoned with radiation following a worldwide nuclear disaster, Endzone - A World Apart tasks you with a monumental responsibility: build a civilization and maintain the wellbeing of Earth’s last remaining human colony.
Much like its genre peers, you will use the tools at your disposal to build housing structures, develop a functioning electrical system, and maintain stable water and food supplies.
Much unlike its competitors, Endzone - A World Apart won’t see you face off against ghastly ghouls and irradiated monstrosities. Instead, violent weather events—such as sandstorms and drought—seek to destroy.

Boasting over 5,000 positive reviews here on Steam, Endzone - A World Apart is a lauded addition to the survival sim genre and blends the best of post-apocalyptic survival and city-building, delivering a challenging yet rewarding redemption-style gameplay experience that demands intuition and skill.

With the release of the Survivor Edition, the dystopian survival-sim is now available to a whole new class of (console) survival specialists.
Features of Endzone’s Console Release Include:
• Full UI overhaul: Specially geared to controllers – provides for a comfortable and up-to-date gameplay experience for current-gen consoles
 • A Bustling Community: The settlement is rarely quiet or dull; fulfill over 90 side missions, all of which are rich in variety and cater to the various needs of your community’s inhabitants
 • Build, Expand, Survive: With more than 90 different buildings to construct and maintain, including power stations, shelters, water treatment plants, and, unfortunately, cemeteries, colony architects have a vast selection of structures from which to create a flourishing community
 • Can’t We Order In?: To get fresh supplies and learn new information, scouting parties must engage in Expeditions — which involves leaving the safety of the colony and venturing out into the dangerous wasteland to scavenge valuable resources
 • Dynamic Radiation Simulator: Keep those iodine pills handy, as Endzone features realistic radiation and humidity values that force you to take into account important details about the soil in which you will grow your crops.

Thanks to a collaboration with Koch Media, our leading global publishing partner, a physical PlayStation 5 retail version is also available for $49.99, as well as on Amazon exclusively in Europe.

Changelog Version 1.2.8173.18727

"Distant Places" DLC is Now Available!

Distant Places is fairly unusual DLC, both for you and for us. Unlike previous content for Endzone, we had to reach into the bag of tricks a bit for this one. From the very beginning of Endzone's development, we knew we wanted to implement expeditions as a feature, and we did. Of course, we also fantasized that off-map expeditions could be even more interesting and exciting than just local ones. However, due to our schedule, the large list of planned features and the overwhelming feedback during Early Access, we put this idea aside.

With Distant Places, however, we had the opportunity to revisit this topic and finally implement it. We wanted to give Endzone a new coat of paint and designed different biomes, which we then also worked out quite quickly, almost completely detached from existing systems, as an interactive game world. Seeing how far we could stretch the possibilities was really motivating. Of course, we didn't just want to present more expeditions, as you already know them, in a new setting, but to tell deeper stories that break up the isolated center of Endzone, your own settlement. We wanted to show you how other survivors roam the planet and how they fight for survival in the harsh lands of our game world.

Working on this DLC has given us a lot of experience for future development, and we hope you'll enjoy experiencing the stories as much as we enjoyed creating them.

 • Localization: Sadly some of the localizations for french, spanish and brazilian portuguese didn't make it into the release version of Distant Places. We'll publish an update as soon as those translations arrived. Until then, our fallback is based on automatic translations.
Survivors, get ready. The gates to distant lands are open and just waiting to be explored.
As soon as the first part of an expedition is successfully completed to 100%, the second and then the third part are automatically unlocked. After completing all the sub-missions of a Global Expedition, you will unlock a new Decoration Building to commemorate your travels. Each of these buildings has the same construction cost and gives a beauty bonus of 10 for surrounding buildings.

Each expedition also unlocks a new technology that can be researched in the Research Station. Unlike before, this is not a building, recipe or decree, but a Passive Bonus that remains permanently active once it has been researched.
Along the Distant Places release, we have also released Hotfix #14 for Endzone - A World Apart.
