Dedicated Server and Default branch changes

Hi there. I hope you are well and healthy in these days.


I know the last information about Re.Poly is a couple of weeks ago but I'm working on
stuff, that I can't test with the default branch of the game.

Because of the changes for dedicated servers, the story mode will be deleted and the quest system is deleted too. This is a change that is been made, because I changed the roadmap.

The story so war wasn't very long and it made no sense, so I decided to change the core of the game to a pvp based game wich has a story behind the scenes. There will be a story but it will be telled in a different way.

To give the game a unique touch I have many ideas. To name some of it I will reveal some of them:

- Quest making: You can define quests for others. So if you need something to do and don't want to do it on your own, you will have the possibility to define quests for other players. They get experience for complete your quests and if you want, you can set items that you can offer too.

- Portal rebuilding: You can rebuild portals, that give you a better mobility

- Town rebuilding: You can rebuild towns. After a town is rebuilded, there will be a save zone and you can trade there.

- Trading: If a town is rebuilded, you have access to a marketplace where players can sell items

- Raiding: You can raid the base of an other player

- Attacking and defending possibilities: There will be a variety of base defending and base attacking possibilities

and many more.


At this moment I'm waiting for a response from a big serverhoster. I want to give you the possibility to host your own servers.


If you want to test what I'm working on, just go ahead into the steam settings of Re.Poly and change in the "Betas" - Tab to experimental. There you have access to the new version of the game that is a bit unstable at this moment but it works.

A lot of stuff and changes will come

Hi there. I'm working on a lot of stuff right now and I want to show you some of the things that I have finished. I know you are waiting for the next update but trust me, It is neccessary to do it like this.


[h2]Base Building[/h2]



Because of the fact that PVP will be active in the new update and you can play on dedicated servers, it is important that you can build a base as soon as possible. So I decided to create twig build parts that you can build until you are Lvl 5. You can upgrade them to wood or if you are higher lvl build them in the workbench. It is up to you how you will handle this. Upgrading will have less resource cost than building it in the workbench.


[h2]Iron Armor and Weapons[/h2]



You can find iron in the Dark Forest. Forge it to iron ingots and craft armor and weapons.
They will have more armor than copper and more damage than copper obviously.


[h2]New Map[/h2]



There will be a new map called "Valuntera"
This map is designed for the dedicated servers and will not have a linear story at the start.
Later on you can find a lot of stuff that will explain the story in another way than the single player mode.


You see, I'm still working hard on this. I know this take some time but it will be great until I finished the work on this update.

Finally the female char and character customization is inside the game. For this I added models for the female char and changed the male char's face.

There were many voices, that talk about the multiplayer aspect. So I decided to rethink the concept of the game. I will take out all the shrines and restrictions that are made until now. The whole map will have dungeons to explore and bosses to beat. Even more animals and more enemys to fight AND yes I will make dedicated servers with the possibility to play with a lot of people. PVP will come into the game with this descision. That means you can play together in a creatable team or fight again other players. There will be still a story but it will be different. No questline that guides you but places and events that will tell you the story.

You see there is a lot to do and a lot of stuff is planned. I think the next update will be in a month. Most of the planned things will be ready to go in this amount of time. I will post everything I do in the discord server (link is in the last words of this post)

- Implemented female char model
- Added female idle,walk and run animations
- Recreated the male model
- Recreated the male clothes (fiber, leather and copper)
- Added fiber, leather and copperclothes for the female model
- Added character creator


Changes:

- Removed the char visualization in the inventory



Fixes:

- Fixed item not stacking in converting actors like the campfire when all slots are full
- Fixed client have no access to the right side of the inventory screen

Female char and character customization

Hi there. I know you wondering why this week there is no update.

This is because I change a lot of stuff and I'm working on the character individualization.
But not only this. I have made a female model too and I have made some hair and beard models.




The next update will come up next friday so stay tuned and I hope you will enjoy the new possibilities after the next patch.

The little Dragon Patch 0.0.4

New:

- Added Dragon Shrine to Gorothka's cave
- Added pet window in the inventory menu
- Added pet "Dragon"
- Added item "Goblin Soul"
- Goblins now hold torches in the night
- Added goblin barbarian to monster waves


Changes:

- Goblins now have an inventory which you can access after killing them
- Changed torch light color
- Changed Standing Torch light color and intensity + shadows
- Changed wave frequency from 7 ingame days to every 4 ingame days
- Changed copper tools wood cost from 250 to 25
- Made Haraya Blossom eatable which restores 7 health


Fixes:

- Fixed Gorothka the Giant (Biomeboss) in multiplayer
- Fixed loading when client leaves and reconnect to a session
- Fixed Jump velocity to make a better natural feeling when jumping
- Fixed language selection and saving/loading language settings
- Fixed option menu fonts, placement and audio sliders
