Re.Poly Version 0.3.0

Hey there Girls and guys. As I said in the last info post I changed a lot. Take your time and explore the changed stuff and if you have any questions, feel free to join the discord server.

- Removed: Blueprint learning shrines
- Removed workstations from loot tables

Changes:

- Changed: NPC's will directly spawn instead of a random time to wait for
- Changed: Aiming is not possible while swimming anymore
- Changed: Health regeneration will not have effect when the character is about to drown
- Changed: The map will show every point a player died now. This will give you the possibility to find an old death spot even if you died on the way to the first one
- Changed: The character starts with no blueprints (collecting resources will give you blueprints)
- Changed: Some collected resources will unlock blueprints directly
- Changed: The research table will help you with unlocking new blueprints. No fragments are needed just the resources the wanted blueprint needs have to be in your inventory. The resources will be consumed when you learn a blueprint
- Changed: Memory fragments will no longer be drops from monsters, bosses or other sources
- Changed: The Shrines to unlock access to blueprints are no longer needed
- Changed: Mining resources like copper, iron, and coal will only be present in caves now
- Changed: Crops like carrots, potatos, tomatos etc. are not present everywhere.
- Changed: Changed the stylized tree, bush models to low poly models to finally make the game full low poly
- Changed: It is possible to teleport via a world teleporter while sitting on a mount
- Changed: Workstations and any placeable object that needed to be crafted is no more required to craft. They can be placed via the building menu (Unlocking via learning blueprint is required)
- Changed: The building menu don't require the hammer anymore. You can open it via pressing the "B" button
- Changed: When you load a game where mounts are standing in the world, they will die after the game loads. All their items will drop
- Changed: Mount system to a summon system
- Changed: Wooden Build parts will need planks, wooden beams and nails now
- Changed: Not every crate or barrel contains items to make it more realistic
- Changed: Stone Structures like Stone walls etc. will need more bricks and cement now
- Changed: Every resource like trees, stones, ores etc. Have to be fully destroyed to get the resources
- Changed: Resources that you can get from trees, stones and ores are reduced to balance the whole crafting and building process
- Changed: Energy is handled different now. Every action like sprinting or using a weapon, tool etc. will lower your energy level. Standing next to a campfire or chimney will raise it slowly. Sleeping will regenerate it completely. Some food will raise the energy too.
- Changed: Trees with beehives will be found only in the pine forest now
- Changed: When the energy level is empty you are only able to walk slow and hitting with fists to be able to collect stones and sticks for a campfire to regain energy
- Changed: It is possible to evade without blocking first [Default key: Left Alt]
- Changed: The info border that is shown when you look at something will display everything by default. It can be normalized via the game settings


Fixes:

- Fixed: Pressing the button or using the shortcut for "take all" will not count for quests
- Fixed: entering the swimming state will not stop the character from aiming with range weapons
- Fixed: When oxygen is empty, the character takes no damage
- Fixed: Item amounts will not be displayed anymore
- Fixed: The Character still uses the attack or use animation when try to attack bare hands after death
- Fixed: The tooltip of crafting blueprints are not showing up
- Fixed: Half iron gate blocks the camera view
- Fixed: The character is able to attack even if he is dead
- Fixed: Strange behavior when flying down and rotate the mount
- Fixed: Corrected hit Animations when using a sword on a mount
- Fixed: Shield placement when riding a mount
- Fixed: When it rains in caves too
- Fixed: Double loot on raspberry bushes
- Fixed: The game option "Show minimap" have no effect
- Fixed: Fort gate blocking the camera when it is opened and you walk trough it



Known bugs:

All translations were corrupted due to a file renaming process. I had to use a tool to translate everything again so a lot of translations would be very wrong. Please tell me if you notice something and I will implement your correct translation


Minor changes that will change the game

Hey there girls and guys.

I guess we need to talk. In the last few month I changed a lot because of whished that were made by the community. Some of them were absolutely great and some were not that good.

I want to talk about the changes that were not that good. There are more points so I will list them and tell you what will be changed on them. I know some of you will not like it but I talked to 2 of my nearest testers that told me I have messed up the game with the changes and I absolutely agree with them. So sorry if you may not like the upcomming changes but they have to be made to make the gameplay much more progress based and interesting.

So here are the points and its changes for the next big update:

- Learning Blueprints | Collecting fragments to learn the blueprints and finding one of the shrines is more frustrating than interesting. It will be changed to a find and learn system. There will be 2 ways of learning blueprints: Collect resources and the research table will be used for unlocking new blueprints via placing resources into it and It will show you possible blueprints with the resources you placed inside of it. If you place all needed resources into the research table you will be able to learn the blueprint.

- Mining resources like copper, iron, coal etc. | Finding thoseresources everywhere is less challenging and too easy to get everything in no time. This makes it way too easy. It will be changed to the fact that those resources will only be collectable in cavesm which makes much more sense.

- Enemies all over the map | The fact that enemies are all over the map does not make sense like it is now. It will be changed to spot behaved monster spawns. Means that harder monsters will be present in caves and normal monsters will be present in the forts and other specific points on the map. This will not include the animals because they are wild animals and it makes sense that you can find them like they are now.

- Energy | The fact that you hit 2 times with a greathammer and your energy is empty is frustrating for most players and I agree with that. It will be changed to a system where your energy is like a resource that will slowly drain with the actions you made. Like it is in real life. You getting more tired the more you do on a day. The energy can be regained by sleeping, resting at fireplaces or eating meals.

- Mounts | At this moment you simply use a lasso, do a minigame and you tamed the animal to use it as a mount. Absolutely lame and not beneficial. This will be changed to the system that was in the game one year ago. That means you have to unlock access to a mount that can not die and can be spawned to ride on directly by summon it. To unlock them you have to collect items and sacrifice it to the holy tree spirit that can be found at the feet of the great tree in the green lands. This is much more beneficial and offers the player the possibility to work for something that is really nice.

- Something to do | At this moment there is not much to do. The description of the game says "Build on what was once and defend it with your life" but nothing in the game shows this. So I decided to reimplement rebuilding logics for Villages that have to be rebuilded. This means a minimum of one village for each biome. Benefit for it: Special events where you can save a live of a villager that is in danger, will send the villager to one of the villages which unlocks shops and other useful thing. This villages will be safe zones for dedicated server games but you have to defend this villages from monster attacks that will be random but only on one village at a time will be attacked. Means this is a constant mission in the game which was planned for the game since the very beginning.

- How to play Questline | At this moment you start the game with a questline that guides you through the mechanics of the game. This questline will be deleted because of the fact that most of the players ignoring it. But In replace I will add pop up messages for stuff you are doing the first time and a journal where you can read about every mechanic that will teach you things you may want to know.


I know some of you will not agree with this points and maybe you will never play the game again. But making this descision is more than important.

Thank you for all of your support, bug posts and everything you have to share. Your voice is always important but sometimes I have to hear to my own thoughts and I think this is the right way of doing it now.

Additions:

+ Added logics to unlock the access to new Blueprints by interacting with the wisdom shrines


- Removed: Pegasus spawns from green lands and dark forest (It is way too easy to tame them and if you have it with level 1 you beat the game too early which is breaking everything)


Changes:

- Changed: To make the game a bit more progress based you have to kill the bosses in order to get access to better Blueprints. For example Gorothka for the copper stuff. (No worries I balance Gorothka for this)
- Changed: Gorothkas soul is usable now and will unlock access to better blueprints
- Changed: Boss souls will be converted into memory fragments when the soul is used but you already have it
- Changed: Boss souls are a 100% drop after killing them
- Changed: Bosses will drop a memory relic (50% drop chance) that unlocks a random blueprint once it is used
- Changed: Campfire, Cooking pot and oven will produce coal when using wood as fuel
- Changed: Mounts can no longer walk through normal doorframes. Use double doorframes instead
- Changed: Monster Waves will now priorize your village center and will destroy everything that crosses their way
- Changed: The waves are shadow monsters now
- Changed: Village center is working like the building sphere. So you have to register into it to be able to build something



Fixes:

- Fixed: Ceilings are not placeable. They will be destroyed immedeately
- Fixed: Dragging ammo to a range weapon can cause the arrows to duplicate
- Fixed: Some items are not working when they be used in the inventory via right click and use
- Fixed: It is possible to deal damage to Sylvana while she is in air
- Fixed: Tree hit effects and decals are much higher than the impact point
- Fixed: When a bed is blaced and the game is saved/loaded there is an empty entry that can not be removed
- Fixed: Using two claws will not reduce the durability of the second claw
- Fixed: Level and Fiber Achievement is not working
- Fixed: Mounts will shrink into fences and fence gates
- Fixed: Armor stat is applied to every item
- Fixed: Wrong amount display on loot containers and item bags for the contained items



Known bugs:

Additions:

+ Added: A plugin is added to post bugs ingame via the pause menu. Bugs that will be posted there will be visible for all players to get a better connection and overview of reported bugs



Changes:

- Changed: When the last ammo is shoot the aim mode will be stopped
- Changed: When reloading is pressed the aim mode is stopped



Fixes:

- Fixed: Map spots will not be displayed on the map anymore
- Fixed: The stone wall is placeable without using resources
- Fixed: A ceiling that is placed on a windowed roof is a bit lower than placing it on a normal roof
- Fixed: Reloading range weapons is sometimes not possible
- Fixed: Ammo is not counted correct and sometimes ammo gets lost
- Fixed: Meteoroids were not shown on the map
- Fixed: Bed icon is disappearing when going too far away from the bed spot
- Fixed: The armor of the shield is not added when equipped
- Fixed: It is not possible to land a flying mount in caves
- Fixed: Roosters laying eggs
- Fixed: Swapping the current crafting blueprints in the crafting queue is bugged in workstations
- Fixed: Crafting consumables or stoff that can be placed into the hotbar will not stack crafted stuff on it
- Fixed: AI does not respawn correctly
- Fixed: When pressing "Max amount" when you try to craft something like planks and you have plenty of wood in your inventory the count is set to a very low number -> Max is 999 now
- Fixed: Crafting on a back of a mount will not give EXP
- Fixed: Some Trees and Rocks will not respawn
- Fixed: Level Achievement is not working
- Fixed: Fiber Achievement is not working
- Fixed: Greathammers will only placed into the first space of the weapon rack
- Fixed: Claws are not correctly attached to the weapon rack
- Fixed: Shields can be added to the weapon rack
- Fixed: using shift + left mouse to add an item from your inventory into a container etc with restricrions will place it into the container even if it should not be possible
- Fixed: Missing object reference errors
- Fixed: Troll is able to throw the player away

Character optics save Fix

Hey there. I noticed that your character will not be loaded correctly even if you save it. This is caused by a file corruption and can only fixed by the following steps:

1. Go to your steam library
2. right click Re.Poly and select preferences
3. Disable "Save games into the steam cloud"
4. Open a random folder and in the address line type in %appdata% and press enter
5. go a step back in the folder structure into the folder AppData
6. In there click on local/Repoly/saved/savegames and in there delete the CharacterSetting file
7. Start the game and change your character optics and save it
8. Close the game
9. right click Re.Poly again and Enable "save games into the steam cloud"


This should fix this issue. There is no other way to do it so follow this steps and everything should be fine.
