Patch 1.1 Sneak Peek: Shiny Morps, Artifacts, and More!

We're getting closer to the release of our first major update since launch. In patch 1.1, we will introduce some fun new features and improvements: you'll finally get to see Shiny Morps in action, dress them up with hats, and enjoy full controller support for a smoother gameplay experience. Keep reading for a sneak peek at what we’re working on right now!

[h2]Shinies & Morp-Hats![/h2]
We're not just giving you more ways to customize your Morps, but we're also adding more variety to Morps themselves! Pop a hat on your favorite regular Morp, or go all out and dress up a Shiny version to really show off.


[h2]The Archive & Artifacts![/h2]
This new mechanic adds a fun side activity for collectors and for players who love keeping a stash of resources, just in case. The Archive is closely tied to Artifacts, which we're also adding to the game. Players will be able to find Artifacts all over the world while performing various activities, then turn them in at the Archive for some cool rewards!


[h2]New Player Skins![/h2]
You’ll have the chance to personalize your character even more. Whether you want to create a unique look, new skins will help you truly associate yourself with your in-game persona. It's all about making your character stand out and reflect your style!

It’s going to be easier than ever to make your world feel even more cozy and personal with all new additions of decor. Don’t be shy, let your creativity run wild and build some awesome creations!

The controller support rework is almost complete! With patch 1.1, it’ll be fully integrated into the game, offering a much more immersive experience for controller lovers.

[1.0.7] Two New Languages, Fresh Improvements, and the Latest Dev News!

We’ve been working on some improvements in the background, and we’re excited to share latest news with you, including two new languages, some error fixes, progress on the upcoming 1.1 patch, and a few awesome creations from our amazing Morp community. Let’s dive in!

[h2]New Languages![/h2]
We want to bring Time to Morp to a broader audience and give players a more comfortable experience by letting them play in their native language, so we're slowly experimenting with adding new languages:
  • Portuguese (Brazil)
  • Spanish

Languages are already available in the game, and you can switch between them anytime in settings!


[h2]Patch 1.0.7[/h2]
We’re also continuing to fix up game based on reports from our vigilant Interns. Full list of changes:

  • Added Brazilian-Portuguese
  • Added Spanish

[h3]Improvements[/h3]
  • Increased chances of Quarks dropping from Hollow Log, went from 2% to 30%
  • Increased chances of Ocean's Purse dropping from Fishing, went from 2% to 8%
  • Added info on where Shrubs can be obtained

[h3]Fixed[/h3]
  • Morps no longer feel crowded immediately after getting pumped into a new area
  • Simple Chests now store the correct amount of resources
  • "Mark as Seen" now applies to abilities as well
  • Fixed online connections to a bigger save files

This patch introduces a better shovel, a new gadget to grow grass, and several quality-of-life improvements to enhance your experience — along with a few important error fixes! Check it out:

  • Upgraded shovel can terraform in 2x2 or 3x3 chunks
  • Added new gadget to grow grass - watering can! Crafting recipe available through reputation levels

  • Increased speed and capacity for Zipline Bot
  • Reduced the cooldown for feeding NPCs
  • Cracked Geode now gives twice as many ingredients when opened

  • No longer displays "new Morp" in chat on load
  • Fixed few localization lines
  • Items in build menu are now properly marked

[1.0.5] New Big Chest and Major Fixes!

In today’s patch, we added new features like Big Chest and improved Smart Sign unlock. We’ve also continued making fixes based on player reports, including improvements to emotes, cutscenes, and "bring shiny rocks" world event, but that's not all! We bring to you:

Let’s dive into more detailed list of changes:

  • Added a new Big Chest, which has 3x of the slots compared to normal Chest, unlockable through Researcher
  • Added a new Label with a smaller size to better match chests
  • Food now displays who eats it and how much reputation it awards
  • Smart Sign is now unlocked in Researcher for better clarity on where to obtain it
  • Blanky now has reputation and can eat Morp Snacks
  • Ziplines can transport seeds now
  • Added UI scaling for the smallest text in Options/UI
  • Herb and long grass no longer counts as clutter in area
  • Lucky coin can be pumped and used as a filter
  • Icon of Morp can be selected in labels/kites now

[h2]Fixes:[/h2]
  • Emotes should no longer be incorrectly interrupted by other actions
  • Held items will now be returned to your character after cutscenes
  • Fixed a rare issue where the game would crash when removing an entity
  • "Bring Shiny Rocks" Mother Root world event should be more stable now
  • No longer possible to place items under hard rocks
  • Building pipes now show a proper warning in restricted areas

[h2]Previous Patches[/h2]
Since Time to Morp launched out of Early Access, we've been rolling out regular patches to improve the game and enhance the player experience. Check out the results of our hard work:

  • Markers for non-existent Mother Root events will no longer appear on the compass
  • Mother Root event involving bringing the shiny rock will no longer break if you carry it too far
  • Cookers should no longer work when they are not supposed to
  • It is no longer possible to select invisible entities
  • If host encounters an error, it is now less likely to corrupt the save file

[h3]Improvements:[/h3]
  • Players attempting to initiate a cutscene are now pinged on compass
  • The loading UI now displays proper background

[h3]Fixes:[/h3]
  • Returning to the main menu now correctly refreshes save files
  • The quest involving stuck Mol no longer breaks for client
  • NPCs now correctly move to their designated positions for client
  • Loading a game with an active stuck Mol quest no longer breaks game for client
  • NPCs shop UI now displays full item descriptions
  • Pinned quests from Researcher now properly display titles
  • Player skins no longer break when equipped with specific neck items
  • Players can now exit to the main menu while playing in coop
  • Holding marmalade when it spoils no longer causes client to break
  • Playing an emote while another player is connecting no longer causes client to break
