Update 2.0.267. Protecting peaceful players and freeing up space on Main Land



The timers for the long absence of players have been reduced so that space for new dominiums is quickly freed up. We remind you that in case of a long absence you will not lose anything, your dominium with all the buildings and contents of the warehouses will be packed into your inventory.
Introduced measures to protect peaceful players from griefers, sprout timers are now saved, and servers are working even faster!

Fixes and improvements
- Now the absence time before auto-packing of the dominium on the continent is 3, 6 and 10 days (basic, medium, large, respectively). Timers have been reduced to prevent inactive players from taking up space on the Continent.
- Now, if you lose consciousness from the actions of another player in a peaceful zone, you will receive a temporary effect “Tranquility”, in which you do not take damage from other players until you start attacking them yourself or enter the danger zone.
- Now sprouts keep their timers even if the server is restarted.
- The watered Cereals stage is now more visible.
- Changed the hotkey for the action of demolishing a building in edit mode, and the action itself is now displayed in red to avoid accidental deletion by mistake.
- Increased the distance at which catching animals is triggered.
- Fixed a bug due to which it was possible to transfer Dominium stones and a log shed to the upper floors and foundations.

Many thanks to everyone who plays Wild Terra 2 and supports us!

We re-launched this section to tell you about what we are working on at the moment, news about our team, and plans.

Wild Terra 2 is created by a small team of very passionate people. Projects of this scale, as a rule, are developed by teams much larger than ours, and with only four people in the team - develop Wild Terra 2 to Early Access was really difficult! Now the team will grow to develop the game even faster!

In addition to solving technical problems, we are working on adding the Map, chat moderation tools, all rewards from additional packs, and new music. We are also making further plans to present you with an updated roadmap.

Last time, we did not manage to complete all the points from the declared roadmap. Game development is a complex process. Sometimes, along the way, you have to spend a lot of time improving what has already been created or encounter difficulties, the solution of which will take much longer than the expected time. We will try to treat the compilation of the new roadmap as responsibly as possible and take into account many nuances that we will have to face.

Map
We will add the Map to the game soon. It will be divided into global (showing all islands and continents) and local (map of a specific continent). On the local Map, in addition to your current location, you can see the mark of your dominium, positions of your group members, the ship, the last place of death. We will also make it possible to add our own mark, the direction to which will be shown in the game.

Server Hotfix 2.0.266

- Fixed a bug due to which the repair of items did not work.
- Fixed a bug due to which, when entering a dungeon, you could find duplicate mobs.
- Work has been done with a possible fix of desynchronization of mobs.
- Improved sorting of containers and inventory to remove its impact on server load.
- Fixed bugs causing a message about the use of the inventory, even if it was not used at this time.
- Now the hangman's grave cooldown is 1 hour.
- Now the effect of Appearance is not removed when moving, but is removed when you try to attack the target with your pet.

Update 2.0.266. Improved server and client optimization



Deep profiling of the server was done and many bottlenecks were fixed based on the received data. Client performance has also been improved (most noticeable on High and Normal graphics settings).

We will continue to monitor the situation and improve the stability of the game, this is a top priority for us!

Server and client optimization
- Significantly optimized several bottlenecks identified during real server profiling.
- Optimized some textures.
- Very low quality settings now use even less memory.
- High and Normal settings no longer use shadow cascades.
- Reduced GPU instancing for some buildings and spawn objects.
- Disabled processing of shadows on small and low spawn objects and buildings, as well as projectiles.

Improvements and fixes
- The number of dungeons that can be created at the same time is doubled.
- Fixed a critical error due to which, if you exit the game before the grave appears, or without pressing the Resurrect button, the character was not sent to the save point, he appeared near the place of death.
- Fixed a bug due to which it was sometimes possible to gather one resource at the same time by several players.
- Fixed a bug due to which it was impossible to open a grave with a loot of a killed character until he pressed the Rebirth button.
- Fixed the effect of wind on the grass, the settings of which got lost in the last update.

Hotfix 2.0.265. Lost items restored, optimization improved

Fixed a bug that in some cases led to the disappearance of items when working with warehouses. All lost items have been restored. Small client optimization improvements that will raise a bit FPS.

We apologize for the overflowing inventory, but this was the only way to restore items so quickly.
