Cosmos Update 2.3.1 - Ascension

NEW TO COSMOS
  • Moved the Augment selection menu to have its own place on the UI in the "Augments" menu, along with a new set of custom repairing laser drill animations, Augment Equip animations and a host of new Particale effects
  • Updated the Co-Pilot menu with a new lit scene and some serious quality of life updates with the UI elements and navigation
  • Updated the Particle and Animations of the Photon Wave Blaster projectile
ASCENSION

Ascension has always had a bit of a horrible feel to it, paying 5000 Star Shards to change the ascension to another co-pilot was just not worth it, Along with the Augments only being available for that specific Co-Pilot and only being able to equip 1 of the ascension augments. With this in mind, there has been some significant changes to the Ascension System;
  • You can Ascend with ANY and ALL Co-pilots at the same time, each time you do it adds a 2% chance per ascended co-pilot to find a Ascension Entity within a cosmic rift (up to a maximum of 18% as there are 9 Co-Piliots)
  • Ascension Entities are living gods transcended of their mortal bodies scouring the cosmos looking for life forms worthy of their gifts
  • Challenging an Ascension Entity starts a challenging boss fight in which you must complete to earn a reward of the new and improved Ascension Augment
  • If you already have all Ascension Augments, the Ascension Entity will grant you an Artifact
CO-PILOT DEAN AND ARTH-R DRONES

Dean and his Protector drone have been lacking power and its not been fun to have to always be near the drone to keep it active, forcing you to play around an AI that flys towards enemies. With this in mind Deans Augments and most important ARTH-R has undergone some exciting new upgrades!

  • ATHR-R now flys around the player, instead of towards enemies
  • ARTH-Rs attacks are constant when an enemy is in range and home onto said enemy
  • ARTH-R switches target to a new enemy overlaping their attack range if the previous enemy was killed
  • ARTH-R flys to where the player has been not where the player is, meaning you can lure ARTH-R drones into an area for a drive by attack!
  • ARTH-R is no longer alone! Each Dean specific augment equipped will spawn an additional ARTH-R drone (If your playing as co-pilot Dean, you gain an additional ARTH-R drone)
With all these changes the augments have been updated to relfect the new nature of the ATHR-R drone...

Updated Augment "Holy Ascension" now called "Mirror Lens"
Was: Taking damage below 25% releases 3 large pulsing plasma shockwaves and taking damage above 50% grants +5% death prevention chance

Updated Augment "Precise Ascension" now called "Critical Power"
Was: Start with 300% Critical Strike Multiplier and 25% Critical Strike Chance

Was: 50% Increased Maximum Health, +5 Flight speed and new passive "Helios Shielding"
Now: Summon a deadly floating star to orbit your starship. The star absorbs energy from enemy projectiles, once enough energy is consumed the star explodes granting Gold

Added New Augment "Gravity Well"
New: Blocking destroys all enemy projectiles around the player. Enemy projectiles that have been destroyed create a shocking field

Updated Augment "Laser Powered Thursters" now called "Plasma Thrusters"
Was: +30 Laser Damage and +5 Flight Speed
Now: +30 Plasma Damage and +5 Flight Speed

BOONS

Updated Boon "Boon Of Power"
Was: +5 Ballistic Damage for each Cosmic Echo killed this rift
Now: Killing a cosmic echo grants +5 Damage for your equipped weapon

BUGS FIXED
  • Fixed a bug with the Augment "Cursed Crystal Ball" in which it failed to give you the Inventory Item (Still worked with Boon Conversion)
  • Fixed a bug with the Boon "Boon Of Conversion" in which the boons given had a 4 second delay (for no reason)
  • Fixed a bug with the Angled Barrels Artifact not gaining any reductions or increases to accuracy
  • Fixed a bug with the Augment "Hyperdrive Modulator" granting +50 Plasma Damage which was not stated in the Augment
  • Fixed a bug with the main menu cursor in which clicking would render invisible for the click duration

Cosmos Update 2.3.0.3 - Hotfixes and Visual Gameplay Improvements

NEW TO COSMOS
  • Updated the Artifact "Weapon Array" - Now called "Barrage"
  • Updated the MainMenu screen with some Particle, Lighting and Mesh changes
  • Updated Cosmic Echo "M3CH" to have some visual changes to the "M3CH CORE" connecting beam and death animation
  • Small Optimisation adjustments for Particales and Artifacts
BUGS FIXED
  • Fixed text errors in the compendium History screen referencing the wrong information
  • Fixed a tooltip issue with the Artifact "Static Thrusters" using the name "Electroshock"
  • Fixed an Issue with the Weapon Array (Barrage) artifact failing to trigger on selection
  • Fixed an issue with item drops and Gold Coins from the Rift core to spawn at z level 0, preventing the player from picking them up
  • Fixed an issue with the Artifact "Supply Crate" in which it spawns at x level 0 preventing breaking with some weapons/abilities
  • Fixed an issue that caused the last 5 Black market items to become locked in the Black Market with no way to purchase them

Cosmos Update 2.3.0.2 - Major Bugfixes and Enemy Balancing

NEW TO COSMOS
  • Intergalactic Merchant now has a cyan outline dictating its a allied entity
  • Added a new particle effects for charging and firing the Gauss-Railgun
  • Increase the base health of all enemies and slightly increased the rate in which enemies spawn
  • Increased the Flight speed on the enemy "Fighter" and projectiles fired from the Fighter are twice as fast, This should help give some tension in the early game
  • Increased flight speed and Dash speed on the enemy "Dasher"
BUGS FIXED
  • Fixed an issue with the visuals for the Custom Rifts showing up after completing the tutorial, these should only unlock after completing the Small rift for the first time
  • Fixed a rendering issue with the DPS UI screen
  • Fixed an issue with the Starship tooltip showing the image over the text on the Nebulasync Starship
  • Fixed a bug with the Scattered Weapon upgrade not working with the Duplicated Weapon Upgrade
  • Fixed a Particle effect issue with the weapon "Gauss-Railgun" causing the charging attack to constantly play at maximum possible fire rate
  • Fixed a critical issue with the "Gauss-Railgun" triggering Artifact/Augment effects at the maximum possible fire rate while charging the weapon
  • Fixed an issue with the UI text popup saying "Damaged Dodged" when damage is "Blocked"
  • Fixed an issue with the text readout not showing the "Damage Blocked" as the correct colour
  • Fixed an issue with the Augment "Nano-Mesh Plating" gaining Block Chance from taking damage once (until a block is triggered) - It now triggers every time you take damage
  • Fixed an issue with the Artifact "Weapon Array" not triggering correctly
  • Fixed an issue with the Intergalactic Merchant allowing you to buy unlimited weapon rerolls when your gold is below the required amount

Cosmos Update 2.3.0.1 - Hotfix and Tutorialisation

NEW TO COSMOS
  • Added a Demo for people who want to try Cosmos before buying! (this demo has limited features that are only available in the main game)
  • Increased the possible random speed bonus gained from the Cruiser, Mine Layer and Bomber enemies
  • Added a section in the Tutorial that explains how Rift Modifiers work and what they do when selected
BUGS FIXED
  • Fixed a UI rendering issue with the tutorial completion screen showing the "Co-Pilot Experience gained" UI

  • Cosmic Echo "Asterix" Heal from asteroid contact damage now scales with difficulty
  • Updated the Starship Buying skin UI text to be more readable and match the other UI's
  • Added a SpawnSpeed multiplayer to the Cosmic Core in which it will spawn enemies faster the more waves and cosmic echos that have been completed
  • Fire Souls and Souls are now collected the same way Gold Coins are after each Rift Event is completed
  • Added Fire UI animations to the Boss Health UI which now checks if the Cosmic Echo is Burning or Poisoned
  • Added custom images for all Enemies in the compendium along with a UI animation
WEAPON UPGRADES
You can now buy Weapon Upgrades from the Intergalactic Merchant, These upgrades Weapon can change the way your weapon works, give stat buffs or grant gold/utility items
  • Maximum Weapon upgrades are capped at 3
  • Weapon upgrades are KEPT when equipping a new weapon
  • Upgrades can be re-rolled at the Intergalactic merchant if a player interacts with the weapon shop Item holding a Weapon that has 3 Weapon modifiers, Any less and the option to add a modifier will be there instead

  • Bolt Action - Weapon shots deal 500% More damage but you have to reload after each shot

  • Fixed a dialogue bug with the Cosmic Echo "The Trio" printing the wrong intro text
  • Fixed a bug with the Rift Modifier selection screen having issues with selecting when hovering on the bottom 20% of the button
  • Fixed a bug with all weapons in which they would sometimes restore Hex or Blink charges on contact (Old Artifact code was not removed)
  • Fixed a bug with the Artifact "Adrenaline" failing to trigger on attacking a Cosmic Echo (Adrenaline also now triggers on attacking enemies as well)
  • Fixed a bug the Augment "Nano-Steel Protective Plates" in which the shock wave duration was much lower than expected
  • Fixed a bug with some boss projectiles that destroy player projectiles to not destroy the floating Plasma Balls from the Artifact "Andromeda" as they remained destroyed permanently
  • Fixed a bug with the Augment "Magnetic Tesseract" that was failing to trigger on collecting Gold Coins
  • Fixed a bug with the Rift infusers showing as disabled when in the Black Market menu even when they can still be bought
