Patch 1.7.2 - Kolkata Arena

Ahoy, mateys!
Unfortunately I had to take a short break for health reasons, but I'm back in action. Today's patch adds a new area to Act II, the Kolkata Arena. Enjoy!



Please, let me know if you find any issues with the update. Multiple systems were touched under the hood, so a bug or two could have gotten through.
Full patch notes:
- Added stronger allies to Balbridge's Point
- Added title change and music change to spider section of Uncharted Tunnels
- Made final bossfight a bit easier
- Decreased number of spiders in Uncharted Tunnels
- Fixed: more subtitles have been synced with their voice lines
- Fixed: Fireworks and Static Missile (and probably more spells) were not working properly on ships
- Fixed: Grenade was not working properly on ships
- Significantly sped up game load time

Patch 1.7.1h - Perk system change. More fixes and tweaks

Another week, another round of improvements for Rum & Gun. I've been watching your streams of the game and it's been super useful feedback. Also, I've been getting reports of 'unresponsive' controls - if anyone could give more feedback on that, that would be a lifesaver.

Here are the full patch notes:

-One of the perk rolls is now guaranteed to be an upgrade to an already chosen perk (part of a branch)
-Pillage has been reworked to give a powder crate instead of 2 gold (8 second cooldown)
-Currently rolled perks are highlighted and can be selected even in the skill panel. Perk roll panel is now hidden while skill panel is visible
-Modified Fort Bourbon terrain to make sequence breaking less likely
-Added new option to show the reload bar at the cursor
-Gamepad now supports ship boost
-Fixed: weapon item comparisons no longer use the default slot id, but looks for the most similar equipped weapons
-Fixed: two guns of same ammo type caused various bugs (e.g. firespitter and repeater broke reloading)
-Fixed: wrong socket passives were displayed in rune tooltip
-Fixed: bleed immunity from Cure was not working
-Fixed: hanged pirates can no longer be stunned
-Fixed: inventory hint was still mentioning "buying" items
-Fixed: better automatic spell layout when equipping spells in various orders
-Changed default key binding of ship mode from 'H' to 'Z'
-Fixed: "Show enemy lifebars" setting was not remembered
-Fixed: if second pistol has more spells than main pistol, its spell action buttons were hidden
-Fixed: akimbo main gun's sword action now falls back to primary attack
-Fixed: visible edge of the map on Fort Bourbon
-Auto-aim for gamepads is now disabled while inventory or skill window is open
-Fixed: last patch has disabled active reloads for gamepads
-Fixed: "magazine" rune bonus was renamed to "reload", consistent with weapon tooltips
-Fixed: "reload" socket bonus was not displayed as percentage
-Fixed: keyboard cannons did not work when gamepad was connected
-Fixed: Typo in journal notification
-Slight change to auto-sell algorithm
-Fixed: F12 now brings up console in editor gui, not just while playing in editor mode

Patches 1.7.1e, f, g

Ahoy, mateys!
Today's patch catch is another small one, but it includes some important fixes. Enjoy!

1.7.1e:
Fixed: reload ended by a reload combo restarted the reload process (bug introduced in 1.7.1d)
1.7.1f:
Reload combo knockback now also works above 80% max ammo (nerfing it didn't make sense)
Fixed: Non-ship minimap marker with lifebar had default textureRect, broke entire GUI
1.7.1g:
Fixed: wrong treasure hunt monster level for multiplayer clients
Added accessibility option to disable the active reload system
Javelin and Rifle charge time reduced to 1s, only has 1 perfect shot marker (still at 0.5s)
Volley spell is now compatible with all ranged weapons
Windup bar is now wedge-shaped, not a rectangle


Decreased unit spawn speed on Balbridge's Point
Increased Handgun burst cooldown from 4 to 5 ticks
Added overlay text to first wall of destructible rocks in Batavia Countryside
Fixed: Treant minion heal enabled the combat state
Tweaked Jade Figurine tooltip
Minor decor changes to Hangover Hills and Sinking Fort

Patch 1.7.1d

Ahoy, mateys!
Yet another small patch, mostly bugfixes and minor adjustments. There was a major bug that made co-op with more than 2 players unplayable. As always, some new bugs could have appeared, so don't hesitate to report any issue!

Full notes:
Ship minimap lifebars now look like regular lifebars
Increased health and reduced attack damage of Tribesman allies
Fixed: co-op with more than 2 players unplayable due to bad dodge vfx syncing
Scroll wheel is now rebindable
Active reload is now separately rebindable from reload (reload still works as active reload)
Fixed: replacing a rune on full inventory would discard the old rune
Minor changes to Ancient Lair zone
Fixed: "Nice Try" perk was bugged, could not be selected
Fixed: Damage limit calculation had all sorts of mistakes
Fixed: typo in Painful Interest perk description

Patch 1.7.1c - Disappearing savegame fix, controller experiments

Ahoy, mateys!

Launch week is finally over. This has been an amazing 7 days. The influx of new players is already taking the game in better directions. For that I am really thankful. As always, I'll look forward to more of your feedback, be it on balancing, QoL, content, bugs, etc.

Anyways, here are the full patch notes for today:
- Fixed: you can no longer join a multiplayer session without creating/loading a character
- Fixed: default gamepad layout is now for Xbox controllers --- You will need to delete the current config.json file for this to take effect.
- Socket stack size has been increased from 40 to 100
- Fixed: Treasure Hunt achievement progress was counted in a wrong way
- Fixed: Siren sisters could get stuck underwater due to narrow pathing
- Slightly reduced drop rate of shield and planks
- Fixed: bleed and fire resist were displayed as percentages in item tooltips
- Added small explanation to bleed resist perk tooltip
- Added jump-down to Bay of Whispers boss fight so that other players can join after the palisade is up
- New Game panel now starts with an empty name, instead of "Anonymous"
- Fixed: applying weapon upgrades reset their action layout
