Eating, Hunger, and Growth changes.

There have been some changes made to eating in order to make needing food less punishing and make eating more impactful.

Creature bite size has been split into two separate variables. One for bite size and one for swallow size. Bite size is used for normal eating and swallow size is used for titanoboa swallowing prey and in the future will be used for other carnivores swallowing smaller dead creatures whole. Swallow size is now equal to the previous bite size and now normal bite size is 10x smaller than swallow size. This means that a creature can eat from a carcass for 10 times longer.

The hunger rate is now up to 5 times slower, where the younger a creature is the higher the hunger rate will be. This was done so you don't have eat as often if you're an older creature.

The thirst rate is now up to 5 times slower, where the younger a creature is the higher the thirst rate will be.

The amount of bites it takes to fill up on food has been increased up to 4x more for older and larger creatures. This was done so when you do need to eat you need to eat more and you may be more likely to need to defend your food from predators or scavengers. You may be less likely to fill up from one source, unless its a big source.

Hatchlings now grow at 200% of their previous rate. This now takes approximately 10 minutes for a large-sized species to grow from just eating food at the nest. Growth will be faster if doing tasks or eating more nutritious food.

Juveniles now grow at 56% of their previous rate. This now takes approximately 30 minutes for a large-sized species to grow from just eating food at the nest. Growth will be faster if doing tasks or eating more nutritious food.

Sub-adults now grow at 20% of their previous rate. This now takes approximately 2 hours for a large-sized species to grow from eating food with a mid-range nutritional value. Growth will be faster if doing tasks or eating more nutritious food.

Adults now grow at 10% of their previous rate.

Smaller-sized species grow faster than the above-noted large-sized growth times.

Fixed a problem where the player's nest wasn't getting set on session start after they had hatched and left the game. This fixed nest food not spawning for the player when entering the game again, and also fixed creatures from a previous session not getting cleared from the nest when entering the game as a new species.

The Great Sands map has been adjusted to not have so many big rocks, and should now perform better.

Feedback is welcome on any changes I make.

Camera Nudging

Camera nudging has been added to the game. You can nudge the camera 10 times in each direction from the center position.

NumPad-5 centers it like normal. Alternatively use the Delete key.
NumPad-8 nudges the offset up. Alternatively use the Page Up key.
NumPad-2 nudges the offset down. Alternatively use the Page Down key.
NumPad-4 nudges the offset left. Alternatively use the Home key.
NumPad-6 nudges the offset right. Alternatively use the End key.

Only works with creature cameras.

Num Lock must be toggled on on your keyboard.

70 New Ambient Music Tracks and More

Added 70 new ambient music tracks to the game spread out across all biomes for a total of 6 and a half hours of music.

Aquatic creature turn speed while in water is now faster.

Terrestrial creature turn speed while in water is now faster.

There is now a blood splatter effect for bloody attacks and eating meat.

Hatchlings now require 10 bites of food in order to get full.
Juveniles now require 15 bites of food in order to get full.
Sub-adults now require 20 bites of food in order to get full.
Adults and elders now require 25 bites of food in order to get full.

Hatchling AI should now be staying within the radius of the nest while wandering.

Crash Fix

Fixed a crash that would happen when trying to switch maps.

Tutorial popups are once again working properly and won't continuously pop up if hidden.

Camera Adjustments, Fixes, and More

(In Progress) The player camera now functions a little differently. It centers its view on the player when zoomed out and doesn't zoom out as far in most cases.
Testable with Tyrannosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus, Albertosaurus, Baryonyx, Therizinosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Ankylosaurus, Gallimimus, Dilophosaurus, Thallasadromeus, Pteranodon, Dryosaurus, Inostrancevia, Ichthyostega, Onchopristis, and Trilobite.
More cameras are being converted, it'll just take more time.

Health loss from starvation has been reduced by 50%.

Plants and grass now move when creatures move through them.

Defensive herbivore elders, adults, and sub-adults will no longer attack hatchling carnivores without being attacked first.

Defensive herbivore elders and adults will no longer attack juvenile carnivores without being attacked first.

AI damage calculations are now the same as the player. Previously the elder AI were doing 2.5x the normal amount of damage, adults were doing 2x the normal amount of damage, sub adults were doing 1.5x the normal amount of damage, and hatchlings were doing 0.5x the normal amount of damage. Now its all just the flat normal amount of damage that the player does. Battles between the player and AI can now be twice as long and allow the player to have more time to react.

You can now filter your save files by typing in search criteria. This should help you find your saved creatures faster if you have a lot of them.

Fixed a problem with the onchopristis skin textures.

Fixed a problem where dinosaur foodbars were showing over their heads when they spawned and weren't dead yet.

Fixed a problem where carcasses weren't gaining toxicity over time.
