Highrise City News

Vacation Season is about to begin!

Greetings Mayors!

We've got some exciting news for you today! Next week, on the 5th August we'll be launching a new DLC for Highrise City. The new DLC will be quite massive in terms of content and will contain also a free update for the main game itself.

The new Vacation Season DLC offers tons of new content, starting with a whole new economy branch to satisfy a new group of citizens: Demanding tourists who will visit your city to spend their hard earned money on products exclusively designed for them.

Build tourist spots and attractions, open up hotels and set up complex tourist lines with public transport to entertain your visitors. With seven new resources and 17 new buildings and all new mechanics this expansion indeed deserves the name DLC.

With the release of the DLC, the Highrise City base game will receive a major free content update, introducing new resources and buildings as well. Players will be able to build massive exhibition halls to satisfy the needs of companies and they will also be able to create mowing tools as certain developments, such as parks, will need this new service.

Office Needs are here!

Greetings Mayors!

June is here. It's update time. The office needs are here. Offices now require certain services and buildings to work at 100%. That means that quite a few buildings have been added to the game. From kindergardens to parking spaces and training centers. Some of the service buildings will require new resources such as ready meals and network cables.

But that's not all. We've fixed quite a few bugs and improved little things underneath to make the game even more stable. We also adjusted the streets menu which is now separated and only contains streets. Also, if you use it, it will automatically pick the latest street you've been building before which will save you some clicks.

  • Scrolling with the mouse on the edges has been speeded up by factor 3
  • Nuclear Powerplant and Fusion Powerplant now produce twice as much
  • Fixed an error which made some ingame hints not show up
  • Added more descriptors to indicate when an interaction is possible
  • Fixed an error which made the alternative construction mode work incorrectly with very low numbers of ressources
  • Fixed typos all over the place
  • Streets now have their own category
  • When clicking the the streets menu the last build street is automatically selected
  • New Buildings:

Sneak Peak on Office Needs

Greetings Mayors!

We have a timeframe for the next Update. Early June we will be releasing the Office Update for Highrise City. The Update will introduce new mechanics for office buildings. For the future all offices will also require certain service buildings such as car parks.

Each office level will have different requirements. We don't want to spoil too much here about what we have prepared, just wanted to let you know that the new things are coming along fine. It might be that we will move one certain building to the following update as it is one of the hugest buildings we've ever did and we're not yet sure if it will be ready in time.

To give you another small hint on how we adjusted certain mechanics for office needs... well, take a look yourself:

Silk, Corn and E-Bikes

Greetings Mayors!

We hope your cities grow and your citizens are happy. Cause today we want to give you even more options for your economy. We’ve been working on some new product chains recently which also come with new buildings. The new distillery and the Corn Farm are just two of the new buildings you will be able to discover.

We also thought a bit about those new lines, especially with balancing in mind. The distillery enables you to produce spirit early on in the game. It is now needed for the level 1 and 2 citizens. And it also enables you to get some much needed cash early in the game. The new E-Bikes however are needed for the Level 3 and 4 inhabitants. But keep in mind that these also need Electric Motors so they are quite hard to produce. At 4 and 5 your citizens will now need no common clothes anymore but elegant ones which require the production of silk.

Besides all that we’ve also fixed a crashbug for the electricity lines. The flickering while building zones is also gone. Next up we’ll implement the office needs!

Coming next week: New Production Lines

Greetings Mayors!

Just a little tease: Next Wednesday new production lines will be added to the world of Highrise City. And of course we've been fixing some issues and adding little improvements again. But for now, here's a sneak of what's going to be added (there's more you'll see next week):
