Patch Fixes v0.21 - v0.21.3

Patch v0.21 Is Live!

This is only a small patch though It fixes a few issues with the saving and loading of both the furnace objects and gold refining objects.

[h2]Changes:[/h2]
  • Added Effects to most objects to let you know what child objects are still attached to the clicked object.

  • Added some subtle visual effects to the cameras.

  • Fixed Beakers sometimes not being delivered.

  • Fixed Ingots not being able to be taken out of the Carry Box after saving/loading.

  • Fixed Ingots being Stuck in the 'Cooling' Phase in the moulds after loading game.

  • Fixed Furnace not remembering what Raw Metal was contained inside the crucible after saving/loading.

  • Fixed a Bug with the Gold Crucible and Gold Mould being stuck In a loop, making the Mould not accept the Ingot.

  • Fixed Gold Ingot Spawning at an Incorrect Size.

  • Fixed bug with Hydrochloric Acid rotating with mouse wheel on startup after loading.

  • Added a Cash Changed UI to display the cash that was just added/taken.

  • Added Text to show amount that will be taken/given on the Scrap Yard Buttons.

  • Added Outline to Player UI Text to see them a but clearer.

  • Removed some redundent objects from the scene.

  • Added admin Command to force the re-check of purchase and delivery of the chemical objects.

  • Added admin Command to force re-check of the Furnace Objects, aswell as forced the gas refill Sale Object to become visible if the Gas Bottle has been purchased.

  • Buffed amount of Gold and Silver received from Gold bearing objects.

  • Lowered Price of Gold due to the buff in amount being produced into the game.

  • Raised Price of Silver to even out a bit of the economy.

Gold Refining Update v0.19

Hi all, I thank each and every one of you for being so patient with this update, in return I thought I'd bring a few other Quality of Life and Visual updates along with this. Thank you all so much for being so awesome and so supportive!

  • Buffed amount of Brass recieved from Brass bearing objects.

  • Added 10 Melody Tracks that play during Gameplay.

  • Added a Stock Market Effect to the Scrap Yard.

  • Added Stock Market Page to the PC.

  • Added Chemical Refining Process for Gold (and Later Silver).

  • Added 100g Gold bar to the Game.

  • Added ability to dispose of Toxic Waste at the Scrap Yard.

  • Added Ability to dispose of Empty Chemical Containers.

  • Added Visual Effects to eWaste objects that appear on the streets to make them more visable.

  • Updated Starting User Interface.

  • Added Cobbers Chemicals to the PC, this is where the Chemical Objects are purchased.

  • Added a 'Close UI' Button to the Scrap yard Shop UI.

  • Optimized Desk PC for better FPS while Using it.

  • Sped up character Movement (both walk speed and run speed).

  • Fixed Object Pickup and Rotate Script.

  • Optimized Interact Script, Browser Script and minor optimizations to other scripts.

  • Fixed Steam Sync Error after Exiting to Main Menu, then Returning to the Game.

  • Fixed Grass Gap in Garage.

News Update

Hi all, Thanks again for being so patient with the Latest Update, I just wanted to update you all on the progress and current status.
Some changes were made to the initial concept both to make it a bit more realistic and in turn making it more simple to understand, also created a heap of error prints for the whole process to guide the user rather than things just not working with no explenation.
After the whole process has finished we will then start working on the saving process so through each stage heres hoping it can be saved and loaded without errors.

Patch Fixes v0.18

Patch v0.18 Is Live!

[h2]Changes:[/h2]
  • Added a 'Release Disassembly Desk Item' button to the 'Game Bugs' section in the Pause Menu. (This will force the desk to release any item that is attached to it. Keep in mind any item that is on or above the table after being released will fall back onto the table in turn re-attaching it)

  • Saved Data is now saved into '%appdata%/LocalLow/DefectGaming/Scrapping Simulator/Scrapping_Simulator_Save_Data.es3' due to beleif that Windows Security Restrictions may be causing some issues by saving Directly to the C Drive.


Can I use my Old Save with the New System?
If you wish to continue using your old save, find your original Save File on the home of the drive where your games are stored (usually C:/DefectGaming) and copy the 'Scrapping_Simulator_Save_Data.es3' file to the new directory listed above (if this path does not exist yet, you can either Create it yourself using exact capitilization or by starting a new game and saving it right away, and just replace the save file that is there.. You can access the AppData folder easily by pressing [Windows Key] + [R] and typing %appdata% into the console that pops up.
if your save is using the Older name of 'Data_Store.es3' Simply copy and paste it to the appdata save path, then rename it to 'Scrapping_Simulator_Save_Data.es3'.

Keep in mind, if you are stuck on the loading screen after clicking Load Game this may mean your Save File is Corrupt.

  • Optimized Save and Load for Prefabs and Scripts Contained on Prefabs.

  • Moved the Drill Position on the Disassembly Desk to help fix Collision issues.

  • Forced Save/Load to Save Item Scripts within Prefabs (In hopes to fix the case bug, as this presents itself after saving the game and re-loading, this causes any Active item in the scene to forget their sibling objects, ie the Case on a PC has every single object contained inside the pc, so the PC case can not be removed until all sibling objects are inactive, the CPU has the exact same script, though its siblings are only the Heat Sink and CPU Fan, so the CPU cannot be removed until its 2 sibling objects are inactive.)
