Update 1: The Cave - Coming Nov 5

Hey Adventurers,

We’re excited to announce that Lucky Tower Ultimate's first Early Access update, “The Cave” will be launching on November 5th, 2024 at 6pm CET / 12pm ET!

What’s coming in this update:
  • The Cave
  • More than 666 new voice lines
  • 5+ new achievements
  • Ultra Widescreen support
  • New enemy: troll
  • New village quest
What is The Cave?
The Cave offers an alternative way to escape the tower once you reach the exit door, allowing you to refuse Evelius’s offer and avoid the boss fight. This longer route out of the tower and into the Village will be a dark and atmospheric maze, visually reminiscent of Studio Seufz’s game The Longing. Companions can go insane in these tunnels, so be careful to keep morale high!

Have you exited the Tower in record time? You can now submit your Lucky Tower Ultimate speedrun escape times on speedrun.com!

There have been some incredibly fast escapes already from content creators, including:
  • MadMouse - Escaped the Tower in 1 minutes and 38 seconds
  • AlCorePlay - Escaped the Tower in 2 minutes and 11 seconds
  • Elwycco - Escaped the Tower in 2 minutes and 50 seconds
  • Nyah - Escaped the Tower in 3 minutes

Version 0.1.14 patch - bug fixes, other

[h3]Bug fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed companions who were set to stay still following the player
  • Fixes for various weapons that were not displayed correctly when entering a door
  • Fixes for gold potion interaction with various weapons
  • Barrel Armor shows up with the right color when equipping it
  • Safety for when falling down gaps without dying or being pushed under the scene with hammers
  • Safety for blackscreens in the room of the cup player
  • Another gold exploit fixed
  • Fixed wrong floor numbers and a blackscreen that came with them

  • Busts, Apples etc. can now be bought in the pawnshop, once sold.
  • "Sacrifices need to made achievement" triggers even when killing companions yourself
  • A bounty poster is also visible outside, next to the mayor's office, if there's a bounty to get

Version 0.1.13 patch - bug fixes, other

  • More fixes for not being able to talk to companions
  • Fixed Evelius being braindead after throwing something at him in his final dialogue
  • Fixed getting stuck at the top of walls in the purple segment
  • Another attempt in fixing zombie Alva
  • Input fixes (no throwing while dropping, no drop while throwing, big gold sack can not be equipped anymore)
  • Fixes for multiple gold exploits

  • Monsters lose their armor when sliding on a banana peel (not just the player as a monster)

Version 0.1.12 patch - bug fixes, other, balancing

[h3]Bug fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed several occasion of Evelius being braindead in the final room
  • Fixed cutscenes breaking when a companion dies from poisoning at the same time
  • Fixed Evelius disappearing at the balcony if he's after you, causing him to never reappear in the final room
  • Fixed Speedrun achievement triggering too early
  • Fixed Assassin achievement triggering when killing the sleeper with a poisonous weapon
  • Fixed Midas achievement not triggering when drinking the potion or gilding corpses
  • Fixed one endless gold exploit
  • Auto dropped items shouldn't damage Evelius anymore


[h3]Other[/h3]
  • New hints for unequipping and using a gold sack at the bank and mayor, since many people had problems figuring this out
  • Bounty at the mayor only shows up if there are monsters in the cave
  • Small gunpowder boxes have skull and T.N.T marks on them for clarity


[h3]Balancing[/h3]
  • Anvils on stakes in the purple segment are a bit lower to be visible despite the ceiling
  • There's now a vending machine in the final room, where you can buy a key to escape the tower - this is an alternative exit strategy, in case you don't want to fight Evelius. The price of the key has been lowered to 25 gold. If there's a bug in the final room where the gate can no longer be attained, the key can be bought for free at the machine

Version 0.1.11 patch - bug fixes, balancing, other

[h3]Bug fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed several occasions of Evelius being braindead after giving him a hat
  • Fixed not being able to talk to companions after they've been interrupted by Evelius
  • Poison progression visuals are now stopped in ending cutscene
  • Armor obtained from chests at the balcony displays correctly
  • No input in main menu when tabbed out
  • Fix for not being able to continue playing at the tavern endscreen, if there's a bug that shows you as a monster
  • Fix for a bug that caused a freeze when entering the tavern with a beehive helmet
  • One fix for the pawn shop that resulted in a freeze


[h3]Balancing[/h3]
  • If a powder keg is behind a nail waltz with alcoves, the fuse of the powder keg will now burn longer to prevent impossible challenges


[h3]Other[/h3]
  • Apple added as item 🍎 (there are some on the ground near the village entrance, that can be used to cure poisoning)
  • New music for the realm of ideas (monkey zone)
  • Different money icons for vending machines, ATMs/Bank, Mayor
  • Some sound adjustments to doors
  • Cauldron in Alva's hut can be used (potions only work inside the tower though)
