December Combat Update - December 14th 2025

Hello everyone,

First of all: Herzlich willkommen, meine neuen deutschen Freunde!

This is not necessarily a larger update than the previous ones, but it marks another monthly milestone for the project combined with all previous weekly updates.

This update introduces parrying for all weapons without a shield, dodging for primary weapons and a significantly upgraded Falcon Mode.

Falcon Mode has been expanded so you now actually fly as a falcon, allowing you to survey the battlefield from above in style. The original camera mode is still available and has been renamed to Photo Mode. While in Falcon Mode, press Spacebar or A on a controller to switch to Photo Mode. This hides all UI elements for easy screenshots and video capture.

This update also adds new early 14th century visored great helmets to the customization options. With these helmets comes a new gameplay mechanic: you can now open and close your visor during battle. By default this is bound to H on keyboard or D-pad Down on controller.

Additionally, this patch fixes a critical bug that caused units to fall off ladders and clip through the floor, along with a large number of combat related fixes and improvements.

Hello everyone!

Time for another weekly update.

This update includes upgraded mace impact sounds, improved battle soundscape and FX, full parry support for all primary weapons and more polish and fixes further enhancing the combat experience.

Field battle army camps have also been added. This feature is off by default and can be turned on in the Performance settings if you want to try it out.
