VRM Posing Desktop News

My Dream

Thank you for everything.

I love creating something.
And I think everyone who uses this app is the same as me.

The philosophy of my activities is to help people involved in creative activities.

I went to an economics university but dropped out to become a Manga artist.

However, I gave that up and got a job at a design office.

A few years later, I met Unity and my life changed.

I put together a 1:20 minute video about my experience of becoming a full-time indie a year and a half after I started studying Unity if you would like to watch it.

I hope my story will further encourage your activities.

My dream for the near future

I will continue to develop new products in the future while continuing to update VRM Posing Desktop with less frequency.

I want to work on game development, which has always been a dream of mine.

And within a few years, I would like to open a production studio overseas.

I hope one day to work on a cool project like Cyberpunk, which became Netflix anime.

For this purpose, I will study 3D technology further and learn English hard.

Thank you for reading this far.
I wish you the best of luck in your creative life.

[version3.3.7] I'm back to update work

Hi, I'm working on the update after a break for technical training.

I added the following features in version 3.3.7.

Improved UI when exporting images

When exporting images, we can now perform camera operations while checking the final image proportions.

Building-related props presets

I added many preset 3D models of buildings.

I know many users currently use mainly image backgrounds, but we hope this will be an opportunity for them to enjoy shooting 3D model backgrounds.

Others
 • Reset button for wind function
 • File name displayed in the list of loaded VRM files

Plans for major upcoming app features
 • Text on exported images
 • Exporting and importing scenes
 • loop animation of multiple poses (→ export animation clips and movies)
 • Improvements such as tagging workshop poses for search

I changed the update schedule site display from a list format to a board format. It is now easier to see what will be updated next.
About VRM1.0
As a test, I wrote code to support VRM1.0 in a test project.

However, I cannot reflect this in my product because Vroid SDK does not support VRM1.0 yet.

Once Pixv distributes the VRM1.0 supported version of Vroid SDK, I will support VRM1.0 in this application.

Thanks.

I'll take a break from updating for about 1~2 weeks.

I have been working hard to update this app for over 6 months since its release.

Thanks to all of you, I have been able to grow the app to this point.

On the other hand, the development work on the updates has been taking up so much of my time that I have not been able to find time for other activities.

I would like to rebrand my Youtube channel and blog media so that I will take a break from development related to the update for about 1~2 weeks.

I'm going also to try to take some time to learn Blender and Unreal Engine intensively.

Once I return from my break, I will continue updating again.

I hope you all have a wonderfully creative time.

[Version 3.3.4] Resolved an issue causing some users to crash

I removed the cause of the crash by having the user who was experiencing the crash check it out.

I had a very hard time because the crash did not occur in my environment, but I suspected that the performance improvement efforts made in version 3.3.2 had some negative impact.

So I reverted the source code to version 3.3.1 and implemented the "Unity animation clip export function" and "preset character changes" again.

I have already confirmed that it works correctly with the help of users who actually experience crashes.

It was a very hard work weekend.
Hope you have a good weekend.

[Version3.3.2] Export Animation Clip of Unity etc.

Version3.3.2
Adding the QuQu_Peke model to character presets
I added a high-quality preset character.

Thanks to the author QuQu.

They are available in the UnityAssetStore and can be purchased from the link below if you want to use them in your project.
Exporting pose data as Animation Clip of Unity
Saving Unity animation clips is very easy on UnityEditor, but getting them to work on the built application was very hard work.
Performance Improvements - Step 1
I would like to continue our efforts to improve performance.

 • Turn off Unity's automatic physics simulation
 • A single script is now responsible for managing the processing performed at each frame.
