January Early Access Update: Trinkets!
Greetings, heroes!
Azoove is changing, and there are a lot more opportunities to experience the journey differently.
Full release is coming up (we'll let you know when we know when that is) and we can't wait to see Azoove manifested fully as imagined!
Trinkets!
Trinkets replace heroes' passive abilities.
You start with no trinkets, and unlock them as you get achievements.
Each hero has their own trinket, acquired by winning with them, but they are now interchangeable!
There are 10 in total, with more planned in the future!
Trinkets change the game, making certain cards more powerful and adjusting prioritization, so every new Trinket introduces another twist to keep your wits together as you evaluate and find the optimal plays.
Change list

Interface
Trinkets trigger visually, including effects previously unanimated such as Inspiration gained when healed.
Trinkets show up on heroes' bars
Tooltips improved and placed such that holding alt/right trigger shows all info needed to learn the UI
Tutorial
Added lobby tutorial prompts for progression mechanics: Preparation, Spite and now Trinkets, which will show up when first encountering these mechanics
Achievements
Revised achievements and their art!
Achievements unlock Trinkets.
Some Achievements don't unlock anything yet. Consider getting them early ;)
What's Next
Expect an update in Feb or Mar for general polish and QoL, followed by the 1.0 update!

With such a big balance change, we would love to hear your experience, especially if you just started playing Azoove. Best way to do so is on the Discord.
Board game
Azoove, the board game, is on hold until the 1.0 release digitally. Thank you for your patience.

Stay Hydrated!

Another Update (I lied) [SFX]

Last week we released the controller support, and said that would be the last update for 2024.
Turns out that was incorrect.
Listening to the new buttons, especially when changing preparation selections, is so fun that we must get this update to you right away.

Change list:
Buttons make noise. That's it.

Stay Hydrated and festive!
