Patch 3.0.0.4 + What next?

Heyo!

Welcome to new players and thanks to everyone who support our work, it is extremely appreciated!

Now that 9 months of work has been released in the form of 3.0 we will be working hard to add even more to the game!

Near future roadmap:

- Ton of new unique dungeons that are zone based like Rat Cave and Black Tower. Places where you can farm for certain satanics and loot like runes etc!
- More feature dungeons like Unstable Rifts
- New zones in acts which can only be found in the linear zones and cant be accessed from the waypoints.
- Item sets for rest of the classes that are still missing them
- New iterations of normal-mythic items
- New unique satanic items
- New DLC skins for classes that have demand
- New bosses with new gimmicks
- New enemies in certain zones to bring more variation

Anyway here are the patch notes:

General

- Improved enemy debuff drawing
- Pristine drops can now only be gotten on inferno

Mobile

- Fixed Controls not being responsive

Fixes

- Fixed a crash with pyro projectile if you die at the same time of proccing blazing trail
- Fixed hook relic crash
- Fixed bug with inventory DLC for over 100 items
- Fixed rubies stuck in walls
- Fixed Death Lord necro skin
- Fixed Dark Mage WM skin
- Fixed Mystery Chest hats in shop saying its maniac viking exclusive.
- Fixed NPC randomization bugs
- Fixed a crash with choosing region
- Fixed secondary tree for ranged minion, shouldnt exist.

Demonspawn

- Fixed blood demons not following the player if enemies dont exist

Necromancer

- Minions now get teleported to you if in contact with voids/water/spikes (damien level forexample)
- Increased aggro range from 192 to 260

Shield Lancer

- Abilities now scale off of Stamina, not Strength

Samurai

- Bushido now scales 10% + (2.5% per point)
- Increased Omnislash initial damage
- Increased Shuriken Throw initial damage + scaling
- Increased Shadowstep initial damage
- Increased Last Samurai initial damage

Pirate

- Increased Barrel initial damage + scaling
- Increased Torrent initial damage + scaling
- Increased Bomb Barrage initial damage
- Increased Cannonball initial damage + scaling
- Increased Anchor initial damage
- Increased Explosive Bullets initial damage + scaling
- Increased Kneekap initial damage + scaling

Hero Siege 3.0 is here! We launched a bit early so we can hotfix problems before the sale goes in, so let us know about any crashes you experience!

Major Changes

- Whole game engine re-programmed for better performance
- Saving and Loading improved for faster speed.
- View Port for the game is now 1024x576 instead of 966x544
- Hero Level now has its own talent tree so you can decide how to better build your class
- The game now also supports 120hz which makes it more smoother for monitors that support it!
- You can now jump on any class by default = Spacebar (Xbox "A") or (PS4 "X")
- Minions are now Mercenaries and you can choose between melee and ranged.
- Mercenaries have their own talent trees.
- Zone Portals have been ditched and you can now choose your area from the waypoint "Zone Map"
- All Acts now have their own Towns
- A tutorial starting are has been added to the game.
- Act 5 and Act 6 are now part of the base game, classes still stay behind DLC.
- All relics are now part of the base game
- All bosses are now part of the base game
- Added minimap back to the game.

Networking

- Every player can now go to any zone without being dependent of the host
- Re-written all code in the networking engine for better performance, stability and experience
- Fixed host/client dealing and taking damage bugs.

Gameplay

- You can now shoot 360 degrees, any direction you desire.
- Enemies can now be seen behind large objects with shader outlines

Loot

- Removed Chest / Helm synergies from the game.
- All loot is now hand crafted, no more spell weapons with strength etc.
- Weapons now have types, and only specific classes can use specific types
- Wider variety of stats in items incl. magic damage, fire, cold, wind, lightning etc
- Added 8 new runes and gems which can be upgraded from chipped to flawed to clean to flawless to perfect

Content

- Death reason is back, better than before!
- Weapons now show on your character! (This part took LONG!)
- Added 8 unique hand crafted dungeons for EACH ACT!
- We have added an additional item slot for SHIELDS! Which can be used with one hand weapons!
- 10+ Zone based unique dungeons with specific loot drops added to the game
- Unstable rifts added to the game, random portal that spawns and takes you to the rift which gives loot as reward!
- All Acts now have their own towns and NPC's

Balance

- Max level lowered to 100
- Difficulties lowered to 4 (Normal, Nightmare, Hell and Inferno)
- Enemies now scale based on Monster Level, not player level
- Difficulties now only increase loot drop chance instead of quality
- iLevel is now capped, and satanic items can be upgraded up to level 10 with rubies.
- Runes are now applied into items, the talent rune tab has been removed completely.
- Classes no longer have stat synergies that dont work on them (STR classes wont have ENERGY, and wise versa)
- There is now 3 different damage factors, Range and Melee that work with STR and Spell that works with Energy (so casters damage scales with energy)
- Life & Mana per hit is now determined by your weapon's damage, not players max hp.
- Equipping items will keep your mana to max mana and hp to max hp as it was before equipping.
- Slow on enemies now also affects their attack speed
- Bosses have a 0.5 second immunity upon spawning.
- Max base talents is now 30

Relics

- Ankh and Holy Water have been removed from the game, HC needs to be HC and people shouldnt be farming for these relics just because "they are mandatory".
- Shocker cooldown decreased from 7.5 to 2 seconds.
- Relic system is re-made and optimized, all stat relics are revisited and an overall balance has been set.

Graphics

- All loot graphics have been re-made with a higher quality standard
- Added enemy death animations
- GUI Elements made better
- Text more readable
- Weapon animations are now shown for idle, walk and attacking.

Improvements

- Movement, glitching etc has a major improvement
- Item comparision graphics in your inventory list shows very accurate indications now (Green/Red arrows for offensive, defensive and utility)
- Talents can now be reset in the talentscreen.
- Zone generation is now about 3 times faster than before
- Fixed many memory leaks from the zone generator

Sound

- Soundwork in the game improved, added unique death sounds to all enemies and more!
- Added ambient & athmospheric sounds
- Added unique attack swing sounds to all weapons
- Tuned the overall sound levels, mixed by our new sound guy
- Lowered music sound levels

Viking

- Seismic Slam hitbox optimized
- Charge can now be stopped by pressing the ability again. The ability is also casted into the direction you face
- Stoneskin now shows an aura rather than turning your character gray
- Shockwave now scales in size after every ground impact

Pyromancer

- Fireswarm now ignites enemies which causes them to take more damage from other fire spells
- Apocalypse now has a more visible explosion effect
- Firenova is now an actual nova

Marksman

- Arrow Rampage has been re-worked.
- Turret attack speed has been increased

Pirate

- X Marks the Spot changed to Torrent
- Pillage changed to Explosive Barrel
- Anchor chain now also deals damage
- Pirate spells scale with physical and cold damage and freeze enemies

Redneck

- Chainsaw Massacre improved and optimized
- Moonshine madness now increases only 50 MS flat
- Improved Tire graphics

Samurai

- Every spell re-worked

Paladin

- Improved graphics on rotating shields
- Holy nova is now an actual nova

Amazon

- Improved lightning effects

DemonSlayer

- Changed weapon switch to a spreading gunshot spell

Demonspawn

- Bloodsurge can now be moved + its wider than before
- Improved Impale visuals
- Gutspread is slightly re-worked
- Manashield now reduces damage taken as mana by % of your current mana
- Manacalypse no longer costs all your mana

Shaman

- Wolves now keep up with the player, gaining the player's movement speed

White Mage

- Restless souls now move faster and turn faster

Beta patch 170

General

- You can now access towns of all acts, still workin in progress tho.
- You can now trade gold and rubies
- Added server message for 100% (pristine) satanic drops
- Changing minion type now wields the wrong type of weapons useless for the minion
- Nightmare can now drop satanics from ACT bosses
- Hell now only drops satanics from Elite and above (minibosses, ancients, act bosses etc)
- Inferno can drop satanics from every single rarity of enemies.
- Weapon 1 and 2 handed is now displayed in the stat screen of the item
- Hell is now Monster Level 125 and Inferno Monster Level 215
- Improved enemy hitboxes
- You can no longer beat ACT 2 boss without killing ACT 1 boss first and skip acts, opening new waypoints.
- Increased Unstable Rift drop multipliers + added ruby drops as rewards
- Increased Synergy stat scaling
- Slightly Increased Rift Portal spawn chance
- Boss pieces now only drop on inferno and Fallen Inoya has a massive chance of dropping better loot

- Nightmare Satanics range from 50-90% quality
- Hell Satanics range from 60-100% quality

- The 1% roll for 100% quality skips the difficulty settings, so you can get lucky on nightmare

Fixes

- Fixed Piercing bullets ticking multiple times
- Fixed some missing item names on other languages than english
- Fixed issues with trading, potential fix for duping and denied possibility of trading with full inventory
- Fixed issues with players joining, resetting the map and bosses etc
- Fixed refreshing zone quests
- Fixed "You Died" screen in multiplayer
- Unstable Rifts now reset after visiting them so you can enter a new one.
- Fixed a bug in minion talent reset.
- Made offline reset same as online reset vote. (changing difficulty also resets)
- Fixed a HP missmatch bug that gets you banned in PVP
- Fixed exitting town from left or right
- Fixed Ranged immunity enemies on melees
- Fixed auto-equipping set items

Viking

- Charge now impacts enemies again.
- Shockwave now creates the next one faster and grows the next one's size by 25%
- Charge stun is now 4 seconds instead of 2
- Buffed Berzerk from 25% + (2.5% x level) to 35% + (3.5% x level) damage increase
- Class set is now in place, Increases shockwave count to 3
- Stoneskin now shows as an aura below the player

Paladin

- Holy Nova is now an actual Nova
- Improved Rotating Shields art and increased hitbox
- Increased Shield Bash Hitbox
- Holy Hammer synergy is now energy
- Paladin set effect is now in place, gives a 20% chance to spawn an additional hammer.

Pyromancer

- Fire Nova is now an actual Nova

Demonspawn

- Reworked manashield
- Manashield no longer drains mana while being active

Pirate

- Class set effect is now in place, Increases barrel and explosion size and damage by 50%
- Anchor Chain now also damages enemies
- Buffed rapidfire scaling a bit

Redneck

- Class set effect is now in place, Increases Tire size and damage by 25%

Necromancer

- Class set effect is now in place, Increases minion HP by 75% and damage by 25%

3.0 Release date is now confirmed



Heeeello!

We have now confirmed the release date and its going to be 24th July 2019. When patch 3.0 will go live Season 7 will start!

There is going to be a complete wipe unfortunately since none of the old systems are compatible with the new ones. Old rankings are stored in our DB and those wont go anywhere.
