1st Expansion Update – New Region Teaser #2

Strigine Quarry
[p][/p][p][/p][p]A stormwind zone where powerful updrafts rage without end.[/p][p]Beneath your feet, fierce winds push your body upward and beyond them; secrets yet to be revealed lie in wait.[/p][p]Perhaps…[/p][p]If one had wings like an owl, they might be able to ride the wind and soar all the way up above.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Beyond the stormwind zone, the true interior of Strigine Quarry finally reveals itself.[/p][p]This place once served as a mining and processing site for the raw material used to create the Stones of Records, which were used by the Elord Kingdom to preserve and pass down knowledge.[/p][p]The bluish rock formations were carefully maintained for generations by owl artisans long ago. Even now, due to the quarry’s unique geography, fierce winds continue to sweep through every corner of the area.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Meanwhile, in the highest and deepest reaches of the Strigine Quarry, stands a mysterious structure known as the Stone Sanctuary.[/p][p]Here remain the traces and stories of a Strigine sage said to have been dispatched to the sanctuary during the great plague long ago.[/p][p][/p][p]Next Wednesday, the final new region to be added in the 1st Expansion Update will be revealed.[/p][p]Another unknown space is about to emerge, so we hope you’re looking forward to what awaits.[/p][p]Thank you.[/p]

1st Expansion Update – New Region Teaser #1

Black Canyon
[p][/p][p][/p][p]The entrance to the Black Canyon begins at a colossal set of remains left behind in the Ashen Valley.[/p][p]Frozen in a posture as if it were still gaping toward the canyon, the shape is far too massive and too unfamiliar to be dismissed as mere bones.[/p][p]What is the true nature of these remains? And what, exactly, took place here long ago?[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Once, the Black Canyon was a deep valley forest that connected Elord Castle and the Quarry.[/p][p]Its treacherous terrain kept most travelers away, yet it remained one of the region’s key passageways.[/p][p]After the outbreak, the land of the canyon became blanketed in rotting ichor and thick mud.[/p][p]Now, when the wind passes through, it carries not signs of life, but the sounds of silence and decay.[/p][p]All that remains in this deep darkness are the traces of a choice made long ago—and fragments of stories buried by time.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Hidden within the shadows of the canyon lie the remnants of a school once believed to have vanished from the world.[/p][p]Those who sought to benefit all through Engraved Skills—the Imprint School.[/p][p]And the legends of the sage they followed.[/p][p][/p][p]In the upcoming 1st Expansion Update, step into the depths of the Black Canyon yourself and uncover the truth that awaits.[/p][p]Thank you.[/p]

🐈‍⬛Fatal Claw's Feedback Review Time! Part 3

[p]Hello, Explorers![/p][p] [/p][p]Last week, we introduced the Engraved Skill Fusion system through the v0.9.175 update, and quickly reflected your feedback into the game with the subsequent v.0.9.183 hotfix. [/p][p] [/p][p]Today, we'd like to walk you through the changes included in our first update of the new year, the issues fixed based on your reports, and the topics we're actively reviewing.[/p][p] [/p][p]Check out the changes we're making together! 🛠️[/p][p][/p]

[p][/p]
✅ Recent updates and applied changes
[p]These are the changes applied through the v0.9.175 update and v0.9.183 hotfix.[/p][p] [/p][p]1. New Systems and Content Enhancements (v0.9.175)[/p][p]- Engraved Skill Fusion System: Reflecting requests from users who wanted to fuse their own skills, we added a system to create new skills by fusing Engraved Skills.[/p][p]- Enhanced Exploration Elements: To deepen immersion, we added new Journal stories and improved the background music in Jack's Room.[/p][p] [/p][p]2. System Stabilization and Bug Fixes (v.0.9.183 Hotfix)[/p][p]- Fixed Engraved Skill Fusion Interface: We urgently fixed a critical issue reported by Inwol, perdix, and others where the interface would freeze or malfunction when attempting fusion.[/p][p]- Fixed progression block after defeating Ortrinde: We fixed the issue reported by Demionix where the Carox interface wouldn't open after defeating the boss, ensuring the game flow isn't interrupted.[/p][p][/p]

[p][/p]
🛠️ Planned improvements and ongoing work
[p]The development team has reviewed your feedback and is working on fixes targeting the next patch.[/p][p] [/p][p]1. Improved Visibility of Threats:[/p][p]- queistion pointed out that purple poison traps are hard to distinguish from the background, making it unclear whether it's safe to step on.[/p][p]- We agree that visibility in that area is insufficient, and we will improve the visuals so that threats are clearly recognizable.[/p][p] [/p][p]2. Ortrinde Boss Fight Camera Issues:[/p][p]- yourhalf01 reported an issue where the camera focus shifts incorrectly when staying airborne using 'Blink + Attack Downward' during the boss fight.[/p][p]- We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the camera angle. We are working on fixes to ensure a stable field of view.[/p][p] [/p][p]3. Elord Castle Arena Error:[/p][p]- We identified the issue reported by Riyshn where the Arena battle near the Grand Square in Elord Castle would not trigger under certain circumstances.[/p][p]- This will be prioritized to ensure smooth and uninterrupted exploration.[/p][p] [/p][p]4. Terrain Stuck Issues and Physics-related Bugs:[/p][p]- We confirmed reports from Vrei and Diffidence regarding getting stuck in specific terrain blocks in Ashen Valley, as well as trap-related issues.[/p][p]- Thank you for the detailed location reports; we will identify the causes and fix them.[/p][p][/p]

[p][/p]
🤔 Topics for deep consideration
[p]These are topics suggested by users that are being discussed in depth within the development team.[/p][p] [/p][p]1. Expanded Mouse Support[/p][p]- Since the start of the new year, Legs and many others have requested the ability to attack or interact with the UI using the mouse, rather than relying solely on the keyboard.[/p][p]- We recognize that interest in mouse support is higher than we initially expected. That said, we are currently reviewing the technical scope and overall usefulness, whether basic functionality, such as assigning attacks to mouse buttons, is sufficient, or if deeper support (such as UI interaction or Blink direction control) should be considered.[/p][p] [/p][p]2. Saving Engraved Skill Fusion History[/p][p]- shapeshifter340 suggested keeping a record of successful and failed skill fusion attempts.[/p][p]- The core design intent of this system is to emphasize the joy of discovery through exploration. Since testing every possible combination is not realistically feasible, we believe it's more meaningful to enhance the hints players discover through exploration, rather than simply providing a complete list of failed attempts. That said, we'll continue to consider additional ways to improve convenience and usability.[/p][p][/p]

[p][/p][p]Beyond this, the development team carefully reviews every piece of feedback you share and discusses it thoroughly internally. We plan to incorporate your suggestions step by step, while carefully considering the overall flow and balance of the game. [/p][p]Your opinions are the most important factor in this process.[/p][p] [/p][p]Please continue to share your thoughts freely, and we hope to improve the quality of Fatal Claw together.[/p][p] [/p][p]Thank you.[/p][p]

2026 Development Roadmap

[p]Hello, Explorers![/p][p]Since Early Access, we’ve focused on refining the game’s foundation and core gameplay based on your play experiences and feedback.[/p][p]As we enter 2026, we’d like to share our current development roadmap, which includes where we’re heading and how we plan to bring Fatal Claw to its full 1.0 release.[/p][p][/p]

[p]
[/p]
Phase 1 - Early Access Stabilization (Completed)
[p][/p][p]Since the Early Access launch, we’ve been focused on stabilizing the game’s core.[/p][p]- Improved overall gameplay flow and controls[/p][p]- Stabilized key systems and fixed bugs[/p][p]- Enhanced UX, guides, and quality-of-life features[/p][p]- Iterated continuously based on player feedback[/p][p][/p][p]This phase helped us clearly define what Fatal Claw needs to be and where it still needs improvement.[/p][p][/p]
Phase 2 - Content Expansion Updates (Planned)
[p]Now we’re moving into the content expansion phase leading up to full release. [/p][p]In Phase 2, we’ll begin expanding the game’s scope significantly, including new regions, enemies, and bosses.[/p][p][/p]
1st Expansion Update (Planned for late February 2026)
[p][/p][p]- Add 3 new regions[/p][p]- Add region-linked normal enemies and bosses[/p][p]- Expand exploration routes and combat experiences centered around the new regions[/p][p][/p]
2nd Expansion Update (Planned for late April 2026)
[p][/p][p]- Add 3 new regions[/p][p]- Add region-linked normal enemies and bosses[/p][p]- Increase density and meaningful choices in mid-to-late-game progression[/p][p][/p]
⏱ Why the gap between updates will be longer
[p]Starting in Phase 2, update intervals will be longer than before. This is because we’re not only adding content, but we’re also doing the following alongside it:[/p][p]- Full region-level design[/p][p]- Enemy and boss pattern design and balancing[/p][p]- Natural integration with existing systems[/p][p]- Re-validation of overall gameplay flow[/p][p][/p][p]Rather than forcing shorter update cycles, our priority is to deliver each expansion update at a high level of quality.[/p][p][/p]
Phase 3 - Full Release Preparation (1.0)
[p][/p][p]In Phase 3, we’ll prepare the full version of the game, including all remaining regions and the ending. [/p][p]Our target for the official 1.0 release in summer 2026.[/p][p]- Unlock all regions[/p][p]- Complete the main story and ending[/p][p]- Final balancing and full content flow tuning[/p][p]- Polish presentation, overall quality, and the complete play experience[/p][p][/p][p]* Save files created during Early Access will not be reset during content expansion updates or at the 1.0 launch.[/p][p][/p]
2026 - Your Feedback Matters
[p]If 2025 was the year we refined the core, 2026 will be the year we add new content. [/p][p]We plan to refine that content again through your feedback.[/p][p][/p][p]New regions and systems will continue to improve through your play and your input. [/p][p]We plan to refine this new content alongside you, pushing the quality of the 1.0 release as high as possible.[/p][p][/p][p]Your thoughts and experiences are always a huge help. [/p][p]If you have feedback or suggestions, please share them anytime through the Steam Community or 👉 \[Discord].[/p][p]We’re always ready to listen.[/p][p][/p]

[p][/p][p]Fatal Claw is still in development, and we're building it together with you.[/p][p]Thank you for staying with us through the expansion updates and the journey to full release.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you.[/p]
