New Trailer + How’s Achilles Doing? #2 - What Lies Beneath

[p]Hi, Survivors![/p][p]It’s quiet… Too quiet.[/p][p]We all know the storm is coming. But for now? We wait.[/p][p]To ease the pain of that wait, we’re back with the second entry in our How’s Achilles Doing? dev diary series - this time with a fresh look at what’s brewing deep beneath the surface.[/p]
🎬 Watch the New Gameplay Trailer
[p]If you’d like to refresh your memory or hunt down that one second of unreleased footage, check out our brand-new gameplay trailer with commentary from amazing Kat:[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]Drop by and say hi if you feel like it - we really appreciate your support 😊[/p]
👀 A Small Sneak Peek
[p]If you haven’t watched the trailer yet, this might be a tiny spoiler.[/p][p]At one point, we casually mention:[/p]
[p]“Each class comes with its own specialization path.”[/p]
[p]Not a throwaway line. Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been cooking up:[/p][p][/p][p]Every class will soon gain access to its own unique specialization path, unlocking new passive bonuses as you play.[/p]
🕳️ Welcome to Hades' Beautiful Dungeon
[p]What in Oblivion is that? The corridors are tight. The walls are closer than you’d like. And the enemies? Let’s just say they don’t believe in personal space. Decisions? Better make them fast![/p][p]After all, this is the place where Hades keeps his darkest secrets and deadliest weapons under tight guard.[/p][p] [/p][p]We are working on five new handcrafted maps (or maybe more? ), each with new enemies, unique mechanics, and bosses. Every map forces you to approach fights differently. [/p][p][/p][p]Sometimes it’s better to stay near the walls, sometimes it’s worth risking a dash through the middle. One big challenge will be the tighter space. Less room to dodge, more ways to die. Should be fun?[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
💬 For our Chinese fans
[p]你好! We’ve seen a growing number of Chinese fans joining us lately, and we’re so happy to have you here. Since many of our usual platforms aren’t available in China, we’ve opened accounts on Heybox and Bilibili. Updates will be shared there in Chinese so you don’t miss anything important.[/p][p]We’re not sure if you’re reading this post here, but we hope it helps all the same![/p][p][/p]
Back to being Suspiciously Quiet about New Updates
[p]That’s all for now. Nothing to see here. Certainly no major updates, new game modes, or boss fights hiding in the shadows.[/p][p]Simply: thank you for being here with us 💛

🛠️ Hotfix 0.6.2 is Live!

[p]Hi, Survivors!

Quick hotfix today with a few improvements based on your feedback:

[/p]
🗺️ Difficulty-based map completion markers
[p]You’ll now see which difficulty you’ve cleared each map on - perfect for tracking your achievement progress.

[/p]
💥 Critical strike objective fixed
[p]This now correctly counts both physical and status-based powers (poison, fire, etc.).

[/p]
📈 Final rewards scaling per difficulty now works correctly:
1. [p] Easy: no bonus
    [/p]
  2. [p] Normal: +20%
    [/p]
  3. [p] Hard: +50%
    [/p]
[p]Thanks to those of you who flagged this - previously, Hard difficulty was giving the same rewards as Normal. The gods can be harsh, but not that unfair. Let us know if you spot anything else! [/p][p]Hope you have an amazing week - it finally feels like summer here in Toruń, and we’re sending you some of that sunshine wherever you are. ~Dark Point Games Team[/p]

Coming to Consoles & and How’s Achilles Doing? #1

Hello, Survivors!

We’ve got big news to share today - and it feels great to finally say it out loud:
🎮 Achilles: Survivor is coming to consoles!
You’ll be able to obliterate your enemies
(or be obliterated by them)
on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in the second half of 2025.

Watch the trailer here: [previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
We’ve come a long way since Early Access launch - and we couldn’t have done it without you. With the next update slowly approaching, we’re also preparing to welcome a whole new wave of players to the battlefield. But before that happens...

We’ve got more to share with you.

Starting today, we’re kicking off a small series of devlogs: part behind-the-scenes, part excuse to talk about mythology.
How’s Achilles Doing? #1 - Making Survivors More Special
While we can’t share a date for the next update just yet (still in the Forge), we can say this: we are working on several topics at the moment, so you will be able to have endless fun while playing.

And one thing we’re focused on right now is making every Survivor feel, well… more like themselves.

Because one of the comments we’ve seen the most is this:
“Survivors feel too similar.”
And honestly? Yeah, that’s true. Outside their signature powers, most of them played a bit too much like Achilles in a different hat. We want to give each Survivor a more distinct identity and playstyle.

This brings us to Diomedes.

You might not know him as well as Paris or Prometheus, but Diomedes was no minor hero. He ruled Argos with wisdom, led one of the largest Greek fleets to Troy, and after the war, is said to have founded ten cities in Italy. Some even worshipped him as a god.

We wanted that legacy to come through in how he plays.
Right now, he already gets bonuses to structure durability, XP, and effectiveness - very on-brand for a seasoned strategist. But in the next update, we’re going a step further:
Every completed structure will grant Diomedes bonus building speed and heal him for a significant amount.
The more you build, the faster you become. If you like structure-focused builds with a strong sustain loop, Diomedes might become your new favorite.
But what if you are a fan of a more dynamic playstyle?

This is time for Alectryon to shine - literally.

In the myth, Alectryon was a young soldier who dozed off while standing guard for Ares - and accidentally let Helios catch the god in a compromising position. As punishment, Ares turned him into a rooster, cursed to wake the world each day with a cry.

In Achilles: Survivor, he’s still paying for that mistake.

Alectryon talent depends on him staying in motion.

The longer he moves, the more the air around him charges - until a burning sphere forms, circling him like the rising sun. When enemies get in touch with the sphere, it pushes them away, burning as hot as the sun.
Before we go…
As always, everything you’ve read here is still in development - numbers may shift, abilities might change, and some surprises we haven’t even hinted at yet are still ahead.

What won’t change is how grateful we are for your support.

Special thanks to everyone who’s been sharing feedback, balance ideas, and suggestions in the Steam forums and on our Discord after 0.6 update. You’ve helped shape this next phase of development more than you know!

Let us know how you're doing, and we hope you have an awesome Thursday. 💛

Announcement - Future Price Increase

Hi Survivors,

It’s wild to look back at where Achilles: Survivor started - and how far it’s come.

Since launching into Early Access, we’ve added a new realm, Survivors, bosses, powers, building mechanics, difficulty settings, and more. The game has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of - and that’s entirely thanks to your support, feedback, and encouragement along the way.

As we get closer to full release, we’ve made the decision to adjust the game’s base price to better reflect how much it’s expanded. This wasn’t something we took lightly, we’ve been debating it internally over the past few weeks.

Next week, following the end of the sale, the base price of Achilles: Survivor will increase from $4.99 to $6.99.

We want to be transparent about this change, and give everyone a heads-up before it happens. Right now, the game is also 20% off until Monday, so if you or your friends have been thinking about jumping in, this is the best time to do it.

And if you’re already with us - thank you. You’ve helped shape this game into what it is today, and what it’s becoming. The next update is already in the works; it’ll take a bit longer than usual to arrive, but we can safely say… it’s shaping up to be something special.
