Open Beta - New Update: Weather Changes

[p]Our latest patch brings weather improvements along with a variety of visual, atmospheric and balance updates.
[/p][p]Gameplay & Balance[/p][p]With this patch, we've introduced several gameplay balance adjustments: reducing the build/destruct range to 1.5m (down from 3m), improving door boarding logic, and preventing the diesel-generator gas lid from being stackable under the arm. [/p][p]Weather[/p][p]Up until now, the world could shift between six major moods: Wet Haze, Blizzard, Thunderstorm, Hail, Clear Skies and Overcast. We’ve added more subtle weather variations to keep you guessing what might come next.[/p][p]Audio[/p][p]We have also made some tweaks to audio and atmosphere. You can now hear heartbeat signals for dehydration and hunger, tinnitus and gradual world-volume muffling in critical states.[/p][p]UI [/p][p]The inventory also got a small update this patch: wet items now show a blue background, so they're easier to spot.[/p][p][/p][p]In addition to what’s already mentioned, we’ve made some significant changes to the way we design our camera and lighting, read more in our Dev Blog:[/p][p]https://playerunknownproductions.net/news/dev-blog-open-beta-update-002[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Patch Notes: 0.20215 [/p]
Audio & Atmosphere
Open Beta - New Update, New Items

[p]In our latest update we have added three new items alongside various fixes and tweaks.[/p][p][/p][carousel][/carousel][p]Find matchbooks with limited matches to create fire. Matches can fail to light, and you can ruin them by getting them wet. Keep them out of the rain, and don't be surprised if they no longer work after a swim in a river.[/p][p][/p][p]Lighters are a more reliable fire source and a step up from matches, but require fuel. They also double as a weak light source if you dropped or forgot your flashlight. Which you would never do... right?[/p][p]Your trusty Ferro Rod from previous builds is now a rare item on every map. [/p][p][/p][p]Also new is the Oil Lamp, which is an alternative to the Flashlight. You can use the Oil Lamp to cast light all around you. Perfect for a cozy camp in the woods, or for building a fire.[/p][p][/p][p]Last but not least, we have made improvements to indications of impending death due to dehydration or malnutrition. You will still die, but less abruptly than before.[/p][p][/p][p]Read more in our Dev Blog: https://playerunknownproductions.net/news/dev-blog-open-beta-update-001[/p][p][/p]
Patch Notes 0.19627

Gameplay & Survival
