S2.4-Raid for Riches Dev Log

[p]Greetings, Driftmasters![/p][p]Season S2.3 has successfully concluded, and we hope you all reaped satisfying rewards from the newly introduced Treasure Hunt modes.
Now, amidst the growing festive spirit, it's time to welcome the upcoming S2.4 Season: Raid for Riches![/p][p][/p][h2]Why S2.4?[/h2][p]In a previous developer log, we mentioned that Season 2 was planned to consist of three mini-seasons. However, after introducing the brand-new Abyss Treasure Hunt and Daily Treasure Hunt modes in S2.3, we identified some areas for improvement that need our immediate attention, based on both the modes' actual performance and the invaluable feedback from you, our Driftmasters.[/p][p]Therefore, we have decided to add one more mini-season to S2. This will allow us to further polish and refine the Treasure Hunt modes, laying a more solid foundation for the major Season 3 update.[/p][p]Now, let's dive in and see what exciting content awaits in the "Raid for Riches" season[/p][p][/p][h3]Raid for Riches: Celebrate Lunar New Year with Surprising Treasures![/h3][p]In the "Raid for Riches" season, we will be rolling out a comprehensive optimization for the existing Abyss Treasure Hunt and Daily Treasure Hunt modes, along with the following brand-new content:[/p][p]● More Maps: New maps are coming to the Daily Treasure Hunt![/p][p]* Novice Maps (T3-T5): Accessible only to Driftmasters at or below Level 24.[/p][p]* High-Risk Maps (T9-T11): Death in these zones will result in greater gear loss, but the maps also offer much richer rewards![/p][p]● Random BUFF System: During Daily Treasure Hunts, you'll have a chance to trigger powerful "Fate BUFFs". You must choose one effect to activate from a selection of randomly drawn special buffs, adding more fun and unpredictability to each run.[/p][p]● Key System: The Abyss Treasure Hunt now features a Key System. You can spend key charges to enter special high-resource rooms.[/p][p][/p][p]Of course, the S2.4 season update offers much more than just the expansion and optimization of the treasure hunt modes. With the Lunar New Year just around the corner, we have prepared a wealth of festive celebration events for all Driftmasters. Participate to earn bountiful rewards, including unique cosmetics and rare items. Additionally, all-new mount cosmetics will be released to make your journey even more spectacular![/p][p]● Hunt for a PS5: After the new season begins, participate in Treasure Hunt mode and complete designated Sprint Missions to enter the draw for a PlayStation 5 console![/p][p]● Lunar New Year Celebration: During the Lunar New Year, multiple in-game events will be live, including a New Year Login Event, Extra Drops in Treasure Hunt, and Boosted Income. Log in and join the treasure hunts for a chance to get limited-edition cosmetics like the Golden Avatar, as well as a large amount of Eclipsium, Starfall Tokens, and other upgrade materials.[/p][p]● New Year Bundles: During the Lunar New Year, limited-time Bundles containing the Qilin Mount will be available in the shop. Additionally, there will be a cumulative recharge event where you can obtain the all-new Dragon Mount. Please refer to the upcoming event announcement for more details.[/p][p][/p][h2]A Look Ahead: Season 3[/h2][p]We know you've all been eagerly awaiting the massive new 3.0 season, Driftmasters. We're sorry we can't let you dive in just yet, but we promise it will usher in a brand-new world for Warborne.[/p][p]In Season 3, as the entrance to the Underworld is sealed, the very concept of Factions will be shattered, becoming a relic of the past. From now on, every Warband fights for itself![/p][p]On this more chaotic and lawless planetary battlefield, your personal ambitions and choices will matter more than ever before. Will you become a legendary treasure hunter, your name whispered in awe? A feared reaper of the battlefield, whose presence strikes terror in your enemies? Or a brilliant commander, leading your team to glorious victory?[/p][p]The choice is yours to make. Your legend awaits.[/p]

S2.3-Dev Log

[p]Greetings, Driftmasters, and a very Merry Christmas to you all! Having you fight alongside us on this battlefield is the best Christmas gift we could have asked for this year![/p][p]Now, onto the main topic.[/p][p]After announcing the upcoming Abyssal Scavenge Run update, we received a great deal of questions and suggestions from our Driftmasters. In this developer log, we will address them collectively and provide the full announcement for the S2.3 version update.[/p][p]Why Did We Choose \[Abyssal Scavenge Run]?[/p][p]First, let's talk about why we are introducing the brand-new \[Abyssal Scavenge Run] mode to Warborne.[/p][p]If you're not yet familiar with this mode, we invite you to learn more through \[S2.3-Abyssal Scavenge Run][/p][p]. In short, you can think of it as the popular "Extraction Shooter Games", but infused with mechanics and a unique flavor specific to Warborne, offering a distinct experience.[/p][p]From the very beginning, our team's core mission has remained the same: to allow more Driftmasters to experience the thrill of PvP.[/p][p]However, over the past few seasons, we've recognized that several major issues have been difficult to resolve effectively. These include:[/p]
  • [p]Persistent balance challenges between factions.[/p]
  • [p]The PvP experience being dominated by large-scale alliances.[/p]
  • [p]Difficulties in accommodating the PvP experience for players in groups of different sizes.[/p]
[p]Because these problems are tied to the game's core architecture, they cannot be fundamentally solved with minor tweaks and superficial fixes within the existing framework. Therefore, we knew we had to make bold changes.[/p][p]It was against this backdrop that we chose \[Abyssal Scavenge Run] as our key direction for experimentation and breakthrough.[/p][p][/p][p]Adjustments and Future Outlook[/p][p]With the official launch of the \[Abyssal Scavenge Run] mode, we will also be making strategic adjustments to some existing systems and features, such as GvG, factions, and tournaments. We understand these changes may cause confusion or even frustration for Driftmasters who are deeply passionate about these content. We sincerely ask for your understanding. These adjustments are necessary to ensure that the new \[Abyssal Scavenge Run] mode can be thoroughly tested and explored in-depth, without interference from too many external factors.[/p][p]As for the future, we have a clear roadmap:[/p]
  • [p]Abyssal Scavenge Run will be developed into the game's core resource-generation gameplay loop, providing a more exciting and engaging progression experience for everyone.[/p]
  • [p]The existing large-scale GvG battlefields and Tournament modes will continue to be maintained and adjusted, serving as a vital stage for Driftmasters to showcase their top-tier power and validate their team's tactics and strategies.[/p]
[p]Of course, we have not ruled out adding more diverse game modes in the future to provide a wider space for exploration and enjoyment for player groups with different preferences and playstyles.[/p][p]Subsequently, we will share our complete development roadmap with all Driftmasters, detailing the future plans and vision for Warborne. Stay tuned![/p][p][/p][p]S2.3 Version Patch Notes[/p][p]Here are the detailed updates for Version S2.3:[/p][p]\[New Gameplay - Abyssal Scavenge Run][/p][p]In the Abyss, there are no large-scale alliances—only independent scavenging squads. Everyone shares one ultimate objective: to collect as much treasure and loot as possible.[/p][p]Every player can freely choose their scavenging strategy, leading to vastly different gameplay experiences:[/p]
  • [p]You can equip expensive, high-tier gear to dominate key areas, clear other squads, and claim their loot as your own.[/p]
  • [p]You can also bring low-cost, low-tier gear to carefully scavenge along the map's edges, avoiding all possible combat.[/p]
  • [p]Or perhaps, through clever strategies and tactical designs, you can use low-tier gear to outplay stronger opponents and hit the jackpot in a single run![/p]
[p]Delving Deeper:
The Abyss is divided into three layers. You can access deeper layers through downward portals or choose to deploy directly into them from the start. The containers in deeper layers offer much richer rewards.[/p][p]Energie-Zelle:
Submit Energie-Zelle to receive random Abyssal Collections (this functions similarly to the Energy Orb mechanic on the surface).[/p][p]Supply Crate:
High-value rewards will be dropped periodically at various locations on the map during a match. Be on the lookout for them![/p][p]High-Value Point:
The third layer of the Abyss contains a High-Value Point with no direct entry path. It can only be accessed via three internal portals within the match. This zone holds precious treasures. Fight for control of the portals to hunt for the most valuable loot![/p][p]Extraction Point:
Each layer of the map has Extraction Points that allow you to bring out all your equipped gear and the items in your backpack. An Extraction Point must be activated through interaction. After a 2-minute activation period, it will extract all players within its range.[/p][p]\[Other Additional Content][/p][p]New Drifter: Nightmare[/p][p]New Warband Positions: Assaulter and Combatant[/p][p]New Repair Station function: restore Drifter Endurance[/p][p]New Driftmark Technology: Safe Inventory. S2.3-Abyssal Scavenge Run — Explore, Loot, and return fully loaded

[p]Driftmaster, long time no see![/p][p]The grand two-faction war, which brought together the strongest players from across the region, has come to an end. As we look back on the unforgettable experience brought by this unprecedented fierce war, let's not forget to give a round of applause and cheers to the champions of the first Tournament![/p][p]Thanks to every Driftmaster who joined the planetary battlefield, you are constantly writing the history of Warborne Above Ashes![/p][h3]Your Voices: We're Always Listening[/h3][p]In recent times, Driftmasters from all over the world have offered many sincere and valuable feedback and suggestions. Thanks to these genuine player voices, we have received everyone's most pressing concerns—unstable PVP environments, insufficient gameplay content, and repetitive and monotonous daily experiences. To address these needs, we introduced content such as the Underworld and Tournaments in previous seasons to improve the experience, but we are also well aware that some issues have yet to be effectively addressed.[/p][p]Now, we believe it's time to make some "big moves"![/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Abyssal Scavenge Run: All-new PVEVP Gameplay[/h3][p]In Season 2.3, we will introduce a new, intense, and unpredictable PVEVP gameplay mode—Abyssal Scavenge Run![/p][p]Abyss—on this former interstellar battlefield lie countless valuable supplies and spoils, constantly pulling hordes of treasure hunters.[/p][p]This lawless land is beyond the control and influence of any major surface Factions. It is home to its own native inhabitants—monsters born from darkness, who are the source of the pervasive terror that shrouds this land.[/p][p]Many have been lost to the Fear of the Abyss, yet powerful warriors and blessed few return with abundant spoils, rallying more to venture into its depths, one after another...[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]\[Tutorial][/p]
  • [p]In the Abyssal Scavenge Run, Driftmasters can go solo or team up with others in squads of up to 3.[/p]
  • [p]In every match, you will enter a vast and complex dangerous zone. Your objective is to collect various supplies, equipment, and high-value loot within the zone. Along the way, you may encounter other Driftmasters; defeat them to plunder items from their backpack![/p]
  • [p]After gathering enough supplies, you need to head to an extraction point on the map. Successfully extracting allows you to take out all your supplies; if you die or fail to extract, you will lose all the loot gathered in this round.[/p]
  • [p]Every Driftmaster has their own exclusive Secure Case where you can store your most valuable gains from the current round. Even if you die or fail to evacuate, you can still retrieve them, so you don't have to worry about leaving empty-handed![/p]
  • [p]Materials, equipment, and blueprints acquired from the match can be used to produce high-tier equipment, enhance character Power, or be sold for Starfall Tokens, and more.[/p]
  • [p]Loot also includes a unique category—Collectibles. Each collectible offers corresponding collection rewards, and as you gather more types of collectibles, you'll also earn collection progress rewards. New collectibles are added each season, so enjoy expanding your collection compendium![/p]
[p][/p][p]In fact, \[Abyssal Scavenge Run] draws its inspiration from the currently popular "Extraction Shooter Games". We believe that the combination of Extraction Shooter gameplay and Warborne Above Ashes can amplify an even more wonderful chemical reaction![/p][p]It's time—Rally your allies, step into this perilous, unfamiliar territory, carefully scavenge through the thick fog, defeat the monsters you encounter and other treasure hunters, and return laden with mountains of loot![/p][p][/p][p]If you have any thoughts on the upcoming \[Abyssal Scavenge Run], don't forget to fill out the survey below and let us know. Your feedback is crucial to us:[/p][p]https://wj.qoolandgames.com/p/fYyhAvQQy[/p][p][/p][p]*Note 1: Due to the tight development schedule, the upcoming \[Abyssal Scavenge Run] mode is not the final version and will be continuously iterated and improved in the future.[/p][p]*Note 2: When S2 - The Dark Underworld was previously introduced, the planned theme for S2.3 was the Seventh Faction: Ironjaw Crew. However, we believe it's more important now to focus on solving the core issues everyone is most concerned about, so their appearance has been temporarily postponed. Please rest assured, the related designs for this Special Faction will still be retained, and we will consider implementing them at an appropriate time in the future.[/p]
