During those nights you will encounter increasingly difficult curated groups of humans, some of them even containing new traits.
To make matters even more dangerous, every Nightmare will have a specific new modifier applied to it, which will carry over to the next Nightmare.[/p][p]A new mechanic & professional scythe wielder has also been introduced in Nightmare: the Grim Reaper.
Whenever you kill or drive a human insane, you will collect a soul.
Once you've filled up your meter to 13, you can exchange those souls for a visit from the Grim Reaper, who will Harvest a human in your house of your choosing.[/p][p]If you can survive the final Nightmare, 13, you will have won over the confidence in your haunting skills of the Grim Reaper, and you will be able to permanently add them to your house in other game modes with the Crypt room that you'll unlock.[/p][p]These are the extra unlocks you can achieve in the Nightmare mode:[/p]
  • [p]Upon finishing the first Nightmare:
    - Card: Corpse Explosion.[/p]

    - Card: Sleep Paralysis.
    - Achievement.[/p]

  • [p]Collective Toll[/p]
  • [p]Amplify Agony[/p]
  • [p]Dragged Under[/p]

Upcoming Friday the 13th Update

It is almost time for a Nightmare to begin. In this case, you will be the one doing the haunting.

Post release we've been pushing out update after update, multiple times a week, leading the game into a direction based on your feedback.
But now, for our "1 month anniversary" we're saving up some time to bring you something with a little bit more "oomph"!

On Friday the 13th of June (how could we ignore such a date...) we'll be releasing the biggest update for Deck of Haunts yet.

Without giving away too much: there will be a new mode, where something "familiar" will be lurking about. Giving you a helping hand... if you are willing to offer up something in return.
