Balance Update for Last Stand, More Weapon Skin Reward Fixes

Patch Notes - Version 0.3.0.3


[h2]Balance Changes for Last Stand[/h2]
- Adjusted bot scaling based on player feedback
- Adjusted wave count in Last Stand from 60 to 40
- Mission Rewards adjusted to be rewarded for completing waves 10, 20, 30 and 40

[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
- Fixed some edge cases where Last Stand and Gauntlet skins were not properly being granted.
- Fixed an issue where mission rewards (Augmented Fate, Equipped Fate, Epic Beginnings, Fabricator Restock) were not granting properly.
- Fixed an issue where encounters would sometimes automatically complete when entering a room.
- Fixed a softlock in Last Stand if a player died during the prepare phase.

[h2]Known Issue[/h2]
- When completing Last Stand in Co-Op, players' camera may improperly adjust to the ground and other players may be invisible. Players can still exit the level through the teleporter and complete it.

Fixes for Weapon Skin Rewards, Controller Support, and More

Patch Notes - Version 0.3.0.2


[h2]Weapon Skin Fixes[/h2]

- Weapon skins are now correctly set to be rewarded retroactively if missions have already been completed. Enjoy!

- Fixed an issue where weapon skins were not granting from some missions.

- Weapon skins are now correctly set to be received based on the highest level of difficulty completed for a mission. For example, if you complete a mission on 'hard' difficulty, you will receive the weapon skins for 'easy', 'medium', and 'hard' difficulties for that mission.

- Fixed an issue where default skin option's tooltip and unlocked state was not updating properly.

[h2]Controller Fixes[/h2]

- Added a temporary fix for the issue where the interact button ('Y' button on controller, for example) was not working.

- Dev Note - This fix will block swapping weapons in the Last Stand mission during a portion of the prepare phase. We will continue to work on a better fix to support multiple keybinds on gamepad.

[h2]Last Stand Fixes[/h2]

- Fixed an issue where the Last Stand mission did not allow for legendary upgrades in the fabricator.

- Fixed an issue where if a player disconnected in Last Stand, their co-op partners would get soft locked from their loot orbs not destroying.

[h2]UI Fixes[/h2]

- Fixed an issue where the Superior Items screen would overflow off the screen boundary.

- Fixed an issue where Superior Items tooltips would show them as level 1 if the player saved and returned to a continued run.

- Fixed an issue where the run time did not support displaying hours.

Major Update is Live for Zombies Fest! Free Demo is Back!

Patch Notes- Version 0.3.0.0

Steam's Zombie vs Vampires Fest is starting, and we wanted to get a major update out for you now! Prepare for a new zombie wave-based mission, a new progressive difficulty mission, checkpoints for single player mode, and free weapon skin rewards for completing in-game missions.



The free demo will also return to Steam during the Zombies event, from May 26th to June 2nd.
Demo players will be able to play the Zone 1 story mission solo, or in co-op with other demo or early access players, so it's a great opportunity for friends to try out Deadzone!

[h2]New Mission - Last Stand: Zone 1[/h2]
Players face off against waves of Mindless. How long can you survive?

A progressive difficulty mission. How far can you make it?



[h2]Free Weapon Skins[/h2]
- Weapon Skins are new cosmetics players can equip to their weapons!
- Weapon skins can be unlocked by completing missions on different difficulties
- Go to the Weapon Arsenal in the starting ship to equip them



[h2]Save Checkpoints for Single Player Mode[/h2]
- Players can now save and exit during a run by interacting with the Checkpoint Terminal in safe rooms
- Checkpoints will clear if a player hosts a co-op lobby



[h2]Free Demo Returns for Zone 1 Story Mission[/h2]
- The demo has the full Zone 1 Story mission in Adventure, Normal, and Hard difficulties. Demo players can play this mission in co-op, so it's a great opportunity for friends to try out Deadzone!



[h2]Weapon Improvements[/h2]
- Adjusted Knife quick melee animation
- Reloading a weapon will no longer cancel if the player throws a grenade or uses quick melee. After the action, the reload will finish from where it left off
- Modified the weapon swap to allow weapons to be swapped while aiming using Q/Gamepad Top Face Button.

[h2]Affixes[/h2]
- Void Tendrils only connects to 3 enemies max

[h2]Perks and Items[/h2]
- Blood Chemist now gives bonus damage based on the player's missing health percentage.
- Tourniquet item no longer prevent fatal damage.

[h2]Bots[/h2]
- Laser Crawler's laser no longer pierces through objects.
- Adjusted Laser Crawler laser so it can be jumped over it.
- Adjusted crawler room in glass cannon mission to match that in the story mission.

[h2]General Gameplay[/h2]
- Pings now show distance

[h2]Fixes[/h2]
- Fixed an issue where missions would sometimes show incorrectly as incomplete.
- Fixed an issue where the checkmark would sort above the tooltip panel on mission select.
- Fixed an issue where currency pickups wouldn't smoothly tumble to joining players on collection.
- Fixed several issues where the Flamethrower bot was dealing damage when it shouldn't.
- Fixed an issue where the minigun's SFX would get stuck on in co-op.
- Fixed Duel Dual final room dropping a primary weapon.
- Fixed bug where if you were hosting and the joining client got frozen, you would not see the freeze - mesh disappear after the freeze effect ended.
- Fixed a bug where chain lightning spawned by the host would not be visible by clients past the first bounce.
- Fixed an edge-case where a bot (i.e. Ranged Phalanx) could instantly swap targets while in the middle of firing.
- Fixed a bug where certain grenade types weren't identified as a grenade in their affix description.
- Fixed bug where, on rare occasions, aim assist would attempt to target an offscreen enemy while your crosshair was over a different enemy.
- Fixed an issue where weapon FOV was incorrect for widescreen.
- Fixed laughing gas super item always activating anytime you killed an enemy, instead of activating on a percent chance when you killed a debuffed enemy.
