Deadzone: Rogue - Major Game Update

Major quality-of-life improvements, including localization support, co-op lobby changes, and enhanced HUD elements. New Augments, Perks, and Items expand your arsenal.

  • Fixed an issue where the minigun would stay spun up while reloading after emptying the magazine
  • Fixed an issue where encounters could be ended earlier if the player bumped against the exit door.
  • Fixed an issue where the setting for disabling damage numbers would not work
  • Fixed an issue where the Ricochet perk would proc the ricochet without aiming
  • Fixed an issue where the Man Spider poison AOE would be counted as self-damage
  • Fixed an issue where the Ranged Phalanx bot could hit players while they were crouched behind cover
  • Fixed an issue where the long range augment was never applying its damage boost
  • Fixed an issue where players could double jump again after dashing, causing an "infinite climb" if the dash was augmented to a low cooldown. Jump count now does not reset after dashing.
  • Fixed various issues in Co-Op around the end of run animations.
  • Fixed an issue in Co-Op where after your shield recharge ended, your shield UI would continue pulsing as if your shields were still recharging
  • Fixed an issue where status effect icons wouldn't replicate to joining players in co-op.
  • Fixed an issue where waypoints would not appear after you cleared a room
  • Fixed an issue where waypoints would not show in safe rooms
  • Fixed reward orb placement location to be more safe

Deadzone: Rogue Demo Patch Notes

Co-Op

To play Co-Op, you will need to link your Epic account (this is for peer-to-peer online services)
  • Find the Co-Op terminal in the starting ship.
  • After interacting with it and clicking “Connect,” it will open a new tab to link your Epic account.
  • After connecting, you can either Host or Join a Lobby
  • To Host, create a lobby link, and share it with your friends
  • To Join a Lobby, copy and paste the Host’s Lobby Code in the Join Lobby Code text box
Reviving in Co-Op
In order to revive fallen teammates, any player(s) left alive will need to finish clearing the current room. Fallen team members will spawn back in.
Each teammate has a maximum of 2 revives

Masteries Tech Upgrades renamed to Tech Masteries
Mastery Tiers are now one purchase per tier

Augments Removed the Augment Fabricator
Augments now provide larger buffs that pertain to the way you want to play

Perks Perks give bonuses towards a specific build.
Perks loot orbs are dropped after special encounters

Items Added item buffs the player can choose from after clearing a room
These provide small improvements to the player’s build

Weapon Affixes
Weapons now have randomly rolled affixes that give them a new way to play

  • Weakpoint Damage
  • Exploding Bullets
  • Scrap = +1% Damage

Moved elemental procs to Affixes
Players can also reroll affixes in the Shop
Elemental Augments have been moved to Weapon Affixes

Weapon Level
Weapons now have an additional upgrade component for level
Weapon levels increase the overall damage of the can be purchased

Armor Armor reduced down to 4 pieces
Added Armor level
  • Similar to weapon level, armor level enhances the overall damage resistance the player has
  • Armor Level can be upgraded through the Shop
Bots Improved bot behavior and encounters
New bot variants added:
  • Mine Launcher
  • Shield Support Bot
  • Kamikazi Flyer
Melee Phanlax
  • Slowed down its hammer attack and made it more vulnerable
Ranged Phanlax
  • Build up time is fixed
Switchblade
  • Switchblade will now cancel its dash if the player is not in line of sight
Man-Spider
  • Flattened out the Man-Spider room
Siphon (Boss)
  • Siphon’s laser attack speed adjusted per difficulty
  • Added more variation to the additional enemies Siphon spawns in
  • Some rooms may now spawn in new waves of enemies
Map Removed bonus rooms to reduce backtracking
Map now plays in a singular path
Added new rooms to each area
