MEET the Exosuit ES-1 "Wildcat"!

[p]Hello, brothers in arms![/p][p]Today we're back to two-legged vehicles; we'll be talking about the "small" ES-1 "Wildcat" exosuit![/p][p][/p][p]At first glance, the Wildcat might look like a mech, but my intention is to make it an exosuit.[/p][p]The difference?[/p][p]A mech is something imposing, a sort of earth-shaking bipod tank, armed with powerful, sci-fi weapons.[/p][p]An exosuit is a sort of mini-mech, meaning it's much cheaper than a mech, much less armed and armored than a mech, but easier to use.[/p][p][/p][p]For a player, calling a mech onto the battlefield will cost credits.[/p][p]Calling an exosuit, on the other hand, should be a relatively cheap action, aimed at getting out of a difficult situation like being surrounded or countering a certain threat for which the player is not equipped.[/p][p][/p][p]In this case, the ES-1 Wildcat is designed for "anti-infantry" tasks, meaning the elimination of small, lightly armored enemies, thanks to its armament: a 7.62 mm rotary machine gun and a 40 mm grenade launcher.[/p][p]If you're surrounded by numerous ants or infantry without anti-tank weapons, calling in a Wildcat could save your life.[/p][p][/p][p]For this reason, I'd like to make deploying exosuits (yes, there will be more than one) much faster than calling in vehicles, coming close to calling the Titan in Titanfall.[/p][p][/p][p]What do you think?[/p][p]If you have any suggestions, please let me know; maybe an idea will emerge that will improve the game for everyone.[/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

MEET the Light Cruiser "Silverwind"!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]I've noticed that many of you are primarily interested in the naval aspect of the game, which is nice because it's a type of warfare that has always attracted me.[/p][p][/p][p]I remember when I was little and my parents took me to the seaside; I spent hours on the rocks reading books about World War II naval battles that my father had bought me. There weren't many pictures in those books, so my imagination ran wild, and the real smell of salt air gave my imagination a more realistic feel.[/p][p][/p][p]Back to us, today I present to you the light cruiser: "Silverwind"![/p][p][/p][p]Light cruisers are ships capable of operating autonomously in a variety of missions, but they are at their best when used to hold off smaller vessels.[/p][p]These ships are fast and quite imposing, although they can't match the might of a dreadnought.[/p][p][/p][p]The Silverwind can accommodate four crew members.[/p][p]All can use 12.7 mm machine guns and 40 mm flak cannons.[/p][p]The first three members have two turrets (front and rear) with each equipped with two 155 mm guns.[/p][p]The fourth member cannot use guns, but has two triple torpedo launchers, which are lethal against slower-moving targets.[/p][p]You can see how, if each member equipped themselves with anti-aircraft weapons, this ship would be able to enforce a naval "no-fly zone" within its weapons' range, something larger ships cannot do.[/p][p][/p][p]The Silverwind's two main weaknesses are:[/p][p]- the lack of truly heavy armor;[/p][p]- the lack of weapons for attacking units below the surface of the sea.[/p][p][/p][p]How would you use this vessel in battle?[/p][p]Do you have friends who would like to share steel and salt with you?[/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

ABOUT GAMEPLAY: unlocks and calls for vehicles

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]Today I won't be showing you any new units, but I wanted to talk about a very specific game mechanic: how to use vehicles?[/p][p][/p][p]I want to clarify that I'll use the word "vehicles" for convenience, but by that I mean: vehicles, mechs, planes, helicopters, ships, boats, submarines, and any other metallic devilry I can think of.[/p][p][/p][p]In FPS/TPS games, there are generally two ways to use vehicles:[/p][p]1) You find them scattered around the map[/p][p]2) You summon them from outside the map[/p][p]Simple.[/p][p][/p][p]Personally, I find advantages and disadvantages in both methods:[/p][p]1) It's a democratic method of distributing vehicles, but it's frustrating if you want to use a single-seater plane and there are five other players in line before you (perhaps even good ones who never get shot down!). Furthermore, the variety of vehicles is inevitably limited, and you often have to make do with what you find.[/p][p]2) A "capitalist" way to use a vehicle, meaning if you have some kind of money, you can call it in; otherwise, you're completely on your own. The advantage is that you can call it in whenever you want, and you can call in the exact vehicle you want.[/p][p][/p][p]In "Home Wars: Battlefield," I'm trying to circumvent these problems by creating a hybrid system.[/p][p][/p]
How does this hybrid system work?
[p]Basically, the player can call in the vehicle they want in battle, but there will also be other vehicles on the map, of random value, that the player and bots can use.[/p][p]Let me explain.[/p][p]During battle, the player will accumulate a sort of credits (I'm not sure how yet) that they can spend in the match to call in the vehicles they want. Obviously, better vehicles will cost more.[/p][p]Once spawned, these vehicles can be used by anyone and in any player/bot combination.[/p][p][/p]
Can the player use all vehicles from the start of the game?
[p]No.[/p][p]At the end of each battle, depending on the outcome, players will receive another type of credit that they can spend to unlock new vehicles in a dedicated offline menu.[/p][p]The same goes for soldier weapons, insects, and dinosaurs.[/p][p][/p]
Can you give us an example?
[p]I can give you an example.[/p][p]Let's say you and your trusty squad are surrounded by small, lightly armored insects, but desperate to exterminate humanity. You realize you're ill-equipped for such a fight, because you have a sniper rifle, one of your teammates has a sniper rifle, one uses only anti-tank weapons, and another enjoys setting mines and barricades.[/p][p]It doesn't take Napoleon to realize that you'll soon be cannon fodder.[/p][p]So, thanks to your unlocks, you can summon a nice modern tank onto the battlefield, perhaps equipped with a cannon, flamethrower, top turrets, and maybe even a nice mortar.[/p][p]That would be cool, right?[/p][p]You can do it.[/p][p][/p]
How do you earn credits to unlock vehicles offline?
[p]As I said, they should be earned by winning battles and/or opening specific chests during combat.[/p][p]If you have any ideas, please share them![/p][p][/p]
How do you earn credits to summon vehicles into battle?
[p]Well, I don't know the exact method, but I have a variety of options. Tell me in the comments which one you think is best:[/p][p]- Credits accrue over time, regardless of whether the player is playing or looking for errors in the game and then giving me a bad review.[/p][p]- Credits are awarded based on your own: kills, damage inflicted, and objectives achieved.[/p][p]- Same as the previous point, but shared by the entire team.[/p][p][/p][p]Please give me your opinion; it's essential to me.[/p][p][/p][p]What type of vehicle would you like to use most?[/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
MEET the "Lion"!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]This week, we're starting with a bang![/p][p]I present to you a vehicle that is an icon of an era and a country: the "Lion" heavy tank!!![/p][p][/p][p]You've almost certainly recognized it: it's the legendary Tiger 1, used by Germany during World War II![/p][p]This tank was a veritable bunker on tracks for its time, as feared as it was expensive to produce and maintain.[/p][p]At the time of its introduction, there was likely no other tank in the world capable of beating it in 1v1 combat, which is why its enemies had to surround and attack it simultaneously to overcome this metal beast.[/p][p][/p][p]In the game, the Lion will be a heavily armored heavy tank equipped with an 88 mm cannon and a pair of 7.62 mm machine guns.[/p][p]Its task will be to break through enemy lines head-on![/p][p]Will it be the most powerful tank in the game? No, it will probably be the more modern tanks, which will have many more weapons on board and slightly better armor. However, this beast will be less expensive than its more recent counterparts so that it can be used multiple times in the same battle.[/p][p][/p][p]Can you imagine using it in some joint tactics with our friends or rushing headlong into the enemy objective alone?[/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

MEET the "Baron"!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]Today, I bring you a historical gem: an aircraft that's extremely rare in the world of video games, the "Baron"![/p][p][/p][p]You'll say, "What the hell are you talking about? That name doesn't exist!"[/p][p]You're right, in fact, its real name is Fokker Dr.I... does that mean anything to you?[/p][p]Probably not, that's understandable.[/p][p]What if I said "Red Baron"?[/p][p]If that doesn't mean anything to you either, please go back to playing soccer video games!!![/p][p][/p][p]As many of you know, the Red Baron was a German flying ace in World War I! He flew his legendary Fokker Dr.I, painted completely red, hence the name.[/p][p][/p][p]The Fokker Dr.I was a fighter aircraft, and that's precisely what it will be in the game, where it'll be armed with two 7.62 mm machine guns that the pilot can use.[/p][p]Now, many will come to my house with pitchforks to tell me that wasn't the original caliber, but, as I've answered others, I'm combining weapons and vehicles from over a century of military history belonging to different countries, and therefore with completely different calibers. For my own sanity, I'm trying to group as many calibers as possible into a few categories to manage the game's balance better.[/p][p][/p][p]Returning to the Baron, it will be a triplane fighter, very light, with a low cruising speed and a strong will to win![/p][p]As a World War I aircraft, and considering the advanced technology of the F-22 in the game, I need to characterize it in a way that doesn't render it entirely useless for the player.[/p][p]For this reason, it will be the first unlockable fighter and therefore the cheapest to call into battle.[/p][p]It won't be able to compete against more modern aircraft, but it will be a good option for taking down bombers from its era and even for taking down some unarmored ground enemies.[/p][p][/p][p]If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to comment below.[/p][p]See you at the next MEET![/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
