Big “Game Feels” - Update for the Demo

Hey, Scyron!
[p]Similar to a well-balanced game, working on how a character feels when moving and acting in the world is an ongoing and crucial endeavor in game development. And where earlier playtests and Demo feedback were already a great help in refining these matters, the additional, fresh feedback from the recent Steam Next Fest gave us even more input to think about.[/p][p]These changes coming to the demo today are a direct result of the ongoing conversations we have internally and with you.
[/p]
Changes to the Game Feel
[p]With this update we want to introduce adapted controls and a more overarching change to the game feel through defined parameters:[/p][p]To give you a bit more of an edge when patrolling the map, we increased the base walk speed by 15% & base running speed by 25%.[/p][p]We swapped the base lane enemies to Acid instead of Frost to make those early waves feel less punishing, that change is here to stay for the full game.[/p][p]A big change is coming with removing the character rotation animation when changing your Scyrons direction. Now, the character will now instantly face the desired direction of movement – even on 90-degree turns. In line with that, we chose to smooth out and shorten the previous stopping animation when the Scyron comes to a halt.[/p]
Changes to the Controls (selection)
[p]Another impactful change introduced with this update targets the controls directly.[/p][p]The mouse controls received a very noticeable overhaul and are now called Click-to-Move.
The big change goes back to what our devs call the “dual click”.[/p][p]Playing with dual click, you now:[/p]
 • [p]walk with left click[/p]
 • [p]run with right click¹[/p]
 • [p]target with both[/p]
 • [p]interact with left click[/p]
[p]¹You can still change between double or simply one right click to run in the settings.
[/p][p]New: In Direct Control, attacks now could also be performed manually with Left Click. Also, we’ve improved the targetting system with the mouse.

We’ve significantly improved the Scyron’s responsiveness:[/p]
 • [p]Movement: Increased rotation speed, faster walk/run movement, and faster stopping with a smoother deceleration animation.[/p]
 • [p]General Feel: Overall, movement input feels more responsive and immediate.[/p]
 • [p]Combat: Most skills now feature near-instant cast times to improve combat fluidity.[/p]
[p]All of this might sound strange or overwhelming on paper, but we urge you to give it good test run![/p][p]Another if so slightly smaller change is how you select your control mode before your first run. You now only need to decide between Click-to-Move or WASD Movement and then second, the keyboard layout in case you chose “Click-to-Move” (MOBA Preset or RTS Preset).

And rest assured, you can still change your layout and control mode anytime in the settings of the game.[/p]
Performances
[p]We’ve heard your feedback loud and clear.[/p][p]This update is focusing on making the game feel smoother, tighter, and more fluid across the board. This is a major optimization pass, we are committed to this effort and will keep refining based on your experiences.[/p][p]Please, keep the feedback coming.
[/p]

[p]Coming to a close, we want to thank all of you again for your unfaltering support. Your shared feedback and experience help us immensely to create a better game, so – thank you![/p][p]If you have any specific feedback on this update, we’d love to hear it. You can share your words either right here on Steam, or on our Discord.[/p][p][/p]
[p]⚠️P.S. Thallos left the demo roster but will be back soon™️ on March 26 in the full release of the game.[/p]

⚡ Speedrun Challenge: Race to the Unraveler! ⚡

Hey everyone!

We’ve seen some incredible speedruns popping up lately, and they’ve inspired us to turn the pace up with a community-wide challenge.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
The Goal
It’s simple: Get through the demo and reach the Unraveler as fast as you can.
"Wait, I’m not a speedrunner..."
That’s totally fine! This isn't just for the elite. We want to see everyone’s best efforts. Even if your finish time is 45 minutes instead of 15, it’s all about the thrill of the chase and seeing how different players approach the level.
How to Participate
We’ve opened up a dedicated #speedrun channel over on our Discord Server, which is the best place to post your clips and chat with other runners.
However, feel free to share your best runs right here in the comments of this post too!
 • Screenshots: Share your final time screens.
 • Videos: Drop links to your runs (YouTube, Twitch, etc.).
 • Tips: Found a cheeky shortcut? Share the knowledge!

It’s been a blast seeing the creative ways you’re breaking—err, "optimizing" our game.
Keep those runs coming, and let’s see who sets the pace this week!

Stay fast,
~Tindalos Interactive
THANK YOU! 🙌

The silent hunter Thallos will leave the demo soon™️

[p][/p]
Hello there, Scyron!
[p]Steam Next Fest saw a big updated to our demo including 3-Player Co-Op and a temporary addition to the Scyron roster: Thallos – the 💨rogue; the 🗡️dagger; the 🐺wolf.[/p]
[p]⚠️Thallos will leave the demo again on March 9, so check them out now![/p]
[p]P.S. Release of the full game, featuring Thallos, is March 26th, 2026 – don’t forget to wishlist it![/p]
[dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]Thallos (The Rogue)
[p]Quick, devastating surprise attacks are Thallos specialty. Armed with a dash, an evasive jump and a cloaking ability, they will be your best friend for some hit-and-run tactics playing solo, and a scouting crit-monster when playing with friends.[/p][p][/p]
1. Accelerating Laceration
[p]Equipped with a set of Dual Daggers, Thallos is all about precise, fast-paced attacks. And “precise” is a key word here, since their auto attacks are only cleaving in a 60° angle in front of them. Ferun, the warrior, in comparison cleaves in an 180° half-circle.[/p][p]With the passive Accelerating Laceration ability, those precise attacks of Thallos become more deadly with each consecutive strike:[/p][p]Starting at one, each strike adds a stack of 10% Attack Speed to their auto attack, with a maximum of 10 stacks. This means that at 10 stacks, you’ll have double your starting attack speed.[/p][p]Can you imagine a crit-based build with that?
*chef’s kiss*[/p]

2. Into the Shadow
[p]Into the Shadow is a very versatile ability.
While on paper it only makes Thallos invisible for enemies, there are of course more than one way to make use of it.[/p]
 1. [p]Get close to an enemy – those daggers are short after all, and you might want to keep your other abilities ready for a necessary escape.[/p]
 2. [p]Throw an enemy off your scent – in case you are low on health and were just spotted by a dangerous enemy just about to charge you.[/p]
 3. [p]Just ‘test’ the strength of an enemy with a poke-and-hide.[/p]
 4. [p]Scout an area without starting a good ol’ train.[/p]
[p]Keep in mind however that Into the Shadow consumes ⚡40 Energy per second while active.[/p]
 • [p]Can be canceled anytime[/p]
 • [p]⏱️Cooldown: 1s[/p]
 • [p]⚡Energy Cost: 20 on activation – 40 per second active[/p]

3. Dagger Deluge
[p]Your only baked-in AoE for Thallos is Dagger Deluge which deals massive damage, while setting you up for a great escape.[/p][p]On activation, the Sycron throws an array of daggers on the selected spot, dealing damage to every enemy unit in the targeted area while making an evasive jump backward. Sounds artistical? Well, it is!The best recommendation is to use it to clear bigger hordes of enemies or as an emergency exit from a hot situation.[/p]
 • [p]✊Damage: 5 x Scyron’s Auto-Attack Damage[/p]
 • [p]⏱️Cooldown: 0[/p]
 • [p]⚡Energy cost: 90[/p]
 • [p]Range: 2000[/p]
 • [p]Radius: 300[/p]
 • [p]Evasive jump range: 800[/p]

4. Rush Attack
[p]The center piece for a good hit-and-run tactic comes with Rush Attack.
Dashes forward in a straight line and dealing damage to every enemy unit it pierces through, this ability is an energy efficient and deadly way to cover some distance.[/p][p]If you find yourself fighting evasive, ranged foes, Rush Attack is their fast pass ticket to meet you face to face. And just like all abilities in Thallos’ set, you can use it to get out of a tight spot after overextending a bit or having aggroed the wrong mob.[/p][p]It’s suggested to keep it in your back-pocket when fighting, since it’s a safe way out – even when low on energy.[/p]
 • [p]✊300 Physical Damange (scales with rage amplifier)[/p]
 • [p]⏱️Cooldown: 25 seconds[/p]
 • [p]⚡Energy cost: 0[/p]
 • [p]Range 1500[/p]
 • [p]Width 150[/p]
[p]If you seek to increase your damage-output with Rush Attack, be sure to focus on collecting the red Rage Amplifier.[/p][p][/p]
3-Player Co-Op
[p]With the recent update to the demo you can now play with up to two friends in a party of three Scyrons. And it hopefully goes without saying that every party member can of course play Thallos.[/p][p]So, create your smaller pack of wolves and don’t forget to share a screenshot.[/p]
[p]💡If you want to skip some grind, have the player with the most advanced save file host the game![/p]
