Patch - 1.0.48

[p]We’re continuing to work hard on improving the game, and today’s update brings a number of adjustments inspired by your feedback. [/p][p]Here’s what’s new:[/p][h3]Gameplay:[/h3]
  • [p]Main stage waves shortened from 30 to 20 minutes[/p]
  • [p]Challenge stages also rebalanced for quicker player scaling[/p]
  • [p]Items have 5 tiers instead of 7[/p]
  • [p]Enemies now scale in strength more quickly[/p]
  • [p]Additional balancing of weapons and abilities, usually granting them more affecting slots[/p]
  • [p]Reduced killcounts on some of the early quests, allowing for faster progression for new players[/p]
  • [p]Infected speggs from the Pride’s infected status effect now display their damage at the end of a run[/p]
  • [p]Darkness Descends now makes you fight a Tier 2 boss instead of Tier 1

[p]Quality of life notes:[/p]
  • [p]Shrine options can now also be selected by using 1, 2, 3, just like the level up choices[/p]
  • [p]Passive have a more clear activation indicator[/p]
  • [p]Increased scaling of UI on handheld devices[/p]
  • [p]Cleaned up the Run End screen UI[/p]
[p]Bugfix notes:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed bug where the game complete sequence had no sound[/p]
  • [p]Fixed bug where Wrath’s Appetite for Destruction did not apply properly[/p]
  • [p]Fixed bug where VFX were not being pooled correctly[/p]
  • [p]Fixed bug where the Evasion and Luck altars gave the wrong buffs[/p]
  • [p]Fixed bug where the Synth God's Shrine animation did not play in The Overgrowth[/p]
  • [p]Fixed bug where pausing in Destroyer Of All before leveling up softlocked the game[/p]
  • [p]Fixed bug where sometimes the audio failed to load on startup[/p]
  • [p]Fixed bug where Sloth’s Bow Down gave more Area than intended

[p]Hello everyone, [/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for all your reports and suggestions, they help us shape the game every day. Today’s patch focuses on applying the feedback you’ve shared with us. We also want to make your experience as fun as possible, so we’ve added new content to the game.[/p][p][/p][p]Let’s dive into the details:[/p][h2]2 New Maps: [/h2]
  • [p]The Overgrowth
    A glowing, overrun field where giant mushroom trees and tight paths force you into tense, close-range combat.[/p]
  • [p]Thorns of Crimson Death
    A vast and brutal battlefield known for relentless enemy pressure and wide-open spaces.[/p]
[p]4 New Challenges:[/p][p]These new challenges will test different aspects of your gameplay. From improving your dodging skills to supercharging your builds, navigating in darkness, and reaching demonic power faster. Complete them to earn additional rewards![/p][p]You can unlock these challenges by progressing through the quests given by the Devil.[/p][p][/p][p]Additional Soundtracks:[/p][p]Each challenge now features its own unique soundtrack. A little treat for your ears as you fight for survival.[/p][p][/p][p]Miscellaneous:[/p]
  • [p]No more mandatory mashing when opening chests[/p]
  • [p]Late game enemies/bosses deal slightly less damage[/p]
  • [p]Buffed Sloth and Greed, slightly rebalanced Pride and made the Devil's items more evenly viable[/p]
  • [p]Increased visibility on handhelds[/p]
  • [p]Added status effect to the compendium[/p]
  • [p]Fixed bug where infected speggs were capped too hard and couldn't spawn[/p]
  • [p]Increased randomness of the stages[/p]

Patch 1.0.29

[p]Compendium: Upon popular request added the patterns of abilities to be previewed.[/p][p]Quest Pinning: Quests can now be pinned at the Devil and will show up when opening the pause menu.[/p][hr][/hr][p]Framerate Cap: Turned Vsync on by default and added an internal framerate cap.[/p][p]Auto Chest Skip: Added option in the setting to automatically receive rewards from the chest mash minigame.[/p][p]One-Handed Play: Keyboard players can now use 1, 2, 3 to select  their choices, as well as use spacebar to confirm. Combine with auto aiming for super ease of use![/p][hr][/hr][p]Chest Luck: Chest now takes luck into account to determine the amount of rewards.[/p][p]Bow Down Description: Now accurately reflects the actual use of the ability.[/p][p]FMOD Bank Loading: Fixed issue on slower hardware causing FMOD to try play events before the sound banks were loaded resulting in game-breaks.[/p][p]Various bugs and some performance issues were fixed resulting in a more stable game![/p][hr][/hr][p]

[p]FIXES[/p][p]Death: Reduced its excessive durability — no longer a total damage sponge. Prevent damage done by death during teleport.[/p][p]Carlos: His metal finger attack now deals damage properly if he is the second boss you encounter in a run. [/p][hr][/hr][p]Penetrate Ability: Fixed an issue where the ability wouldn’t always trigger, breaking some weapons.[/p][p]Marasmus Weapon: Reduced excessive lifetime causing phantom hits and fixed shadow moving far away with Area upgrades. [/p][p]Ability Bar Bug: Fixed an issue where all abilities in the first horizontal bar were not functioning.[/p][hr][/hr][p]Merchant Upgrades: Increased the power of several player upgrades available in the shop.[/p]
  • [p]Area upgrades 1% → 3% per tier[/p]
  • [p]Knockback 3% → 5% per tier[/p]
  • [p]EXP bonus 5% → 10% per tier[/p]
  • [p]Crit chance 1% → 2% per tier[/p]
[p]Audio Fix: Ensured sound banks loads correctly, which should also resolve the missing animation issue.[/p][p]Polyphonic Rust: Fixed tracking issues with this Quest.[/p][p]Freezing Moon: Fixed an issue preventing this Quest from unlocking properly.[/p][p]Quality of life improvements: Perks can be selected using corresponding number keys.[/p][p]Interaction bug: Fixed input loss on interacting within the HUB.[/p][hr][/hr][p]Sin Compendium: Added the new Sin Compendium feature.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p]The community has made several suggestions to improve the player experience and have reported multiple issues as well. This patch already contains some suggestions and fixes such as reducing Death’s HP (which was definitely necessary), better balancing of merchant items, and a sin compendium so all the sin items can be previewed![/p][p]More things are planned and coming soon, so stay tuned and keep jamming!![/p][p]Signed, Rogueside dev team[/p]
