Update (v1.2.0)

Hi everyone!

I've released version 1.2.0. This verion is pretty major, as beside some improvements and bug fixes it overhauls how the game handles inputs and the overall controller support.
You can read more in detail below, but in short you're able to select between keyboard, ps3, and xbox on a new controls section in the options menu, as well as change the sensitivity of your control stick. There's also a list of the (default) controls on both keyboard and controllers.

Overall, I think this should help a weak point of the game, which was the controller support. So for those of you who prefer a controller, you might have an easier time using one. Full changelog below!
Patch Notes

New Stuff
• Added a completely new controls section of the options menu. This allows you to change your controller between Keyboard, Ps3, and Xbox, as well as see the full list of controls for each one. This menu also includes a control stick sensitivity option, letting you change the sensitivity of the control stick as well as view how it responds to your inputs for testing purposes
Changes & Improvements
• Overhauled how the game handles inputs, so it only responds to your currently selected controller. This should make most controllers smoother to use
 • Improved a spot in Greendome where you could get attacked by enemies from the room above you during cutscene(s) and a boss fight
Bug Fixes
• Due to the new controller changes, using a controller for UI and menus should be much more responsive
 • Fixed a bug where Starter could move quicker if your control stick was very sensitive and input values above 1 or below -1. Now it should be properly restricted to not go above or below the maximum values
 • Fixed a major bug where you could "downgrade" your Blaster permanently after getting the final upgrade
 • Fixed a bug where Pauline wouldn't properly disappear after the post-Mokula cutscene

Update (v1.1.1)

Hi everyone!

I've released version 1.1.1. This one is pretty standard with some bug fixes and improvements, but there is a little bit of new content just like last update. You can read about it in the patch notes below!
Patch Notes

New Stuff
• Added 3 new costumes
 • Added some new scenery to Sky Facility, as well as a new secret room with some lore
Changes & Improvements
• Improved the tiling on water surfaces
 • Changed the position of a CD to make it slightly easier to get
 • Lowered the HP of a specific late-game boss from 300HP to 250HP
Bug Fixes
• Fixed a bug that caused your currently selected weapon to not save correctly inbetween scenes, after save points, etc. Now your selected weapon should (hopefully) remain consistent as intended
 • Fixed a bug where some NPCs in the Grassfields would be present during a story event when they weren't supposed to
 • Fixed some wrong layering on the Charge Shot
 • Fixed a few more typos

Update (v1.1.0)

Hi everyone!

I've released the game's first patch (v1.1.0). Mostly some fixing and improvements, but there is a little bit of new content as well. Note that the in-game number still says v1.0, but this is an error and will be fixed in the next update(s). Patch notes below!
Patch Notes

New Stuff
• Added a new post-game side quest and a new item (true ending only)
 • Added pause descriptions to Crystal Steppe Ruins and Urudia
Changes & Improvements
• Optimized waterfalls and water surfaces a little bit, which might improve performance in areas that have a lot of water. They might tile slightly worse, but I think the change is worth it
 • Music should no longer be reset when the game tries to change music to the track that's already playing (ex: when exiting the Little House in Grassfields)
 • Replaced a few previously locked doors in Grassfields and Swamplands with un-interactible doors to avoid confusion
 • Visually improved the Swamp Shack and the Swamplands barn
 • Slightly updated the credits
Bug Fixes
• Fixed a map error in Memory Zone that let you go out of bounds
 • Fixed a spot in Blue Corridor where you could get stuck below a moving block
 • Fixed some minor map errors in Crystal Steppe
 • Fixed a few typos and updated some text

Super Gear Quest released!

Hello everyone!

Super Gear Quest has been released! I've worked on this game for 5 years, and I'm very excited to finally share it with you. So if you're interested, you can finally get the game and play it!

Something I'd like to point out though, is that there are a few things I wanted to add and wasn't able to do on time. I want to try and add these things in future updates. I like to think of my games as continuous projects that I can continue to support in the future, so that's the approach I'm trying to take.

If anyone has any questions, let me know and I'll do my best to help. Besides that, I hope you enjoy the game!
