Patch 10.1 - Server Fixes

General

No new client update just yet, instead this post is mostly to cover a few of the server side issues that have been deployed that have been affecting gameplay.

[h2]Gameplay Changes[/h2]
  • Disguised units will now maintain their attributes applied to them. Attributes include: Poison, Plague, and Slow


[h2]Fixes[/h2]
  • Attribute text during hover over state should now be the correct size as ability text
  • Crashers with 0 attack no longer can take out magic barrier
  • Brawler unit should no longer be gaining extra health with eliminating another crasher
  • Crashers with 0 attack no longer can take out the modifier wall in the middle
  • Disguised units with more than 1 hp and hit by holy smite will no longer go back to full health when being revealed
  • Disguised units revealed/shot within range of an ox totem will maintain their buffer for the turn
  • Holy smite no longer reveals disguised units hit and survived

Patch 10 - Addressing Launch Needs

General

First off I would like to thank everyone that has come out this last weekend to play games. I have been working on this project on and off for 5 years now and It was so awesome seeing everyone out playing. I have started to note down issues being seen such as users only playing the tutorial and AI instead of queuing up for online matches. I would like to mention to join the discord! as its the best place to keep up to date or find others for a match as the game is in a growing state.



[h2]Changes[/h2]
  • Updated the client so during any server interruptions you will be brought back to the main menu. Queuing up while the server is down will let you know
  • Added hover and hit states to buttons throughout the game to help know what is clickable
  • Added audio to go with button clicking
  • Main menu will now showcase the server status in the top middle including player counts, people in queue etc
  • Updated the AI so it can play 3 different decks, changed a bit of its logic as well to hoping help it not get stomped 24/7


[h2]Balance Changes[/h2]
  • Fish: Attack 2 -> 0 | Health 3 -> 2 | Ether Cost 3 -> 0
  • Moose: Attack 3 -> 1 | Health 5 -> 6 | Ether Cost 5 -> 4
  • Kang: Attack 2 -> 4 | Health 4 -> 1
  • The Revenant: Attack 2 -> 1
  • Sean: Attack 3 -> 4
  • Horntail: new ability Slow has been added


[h2]Fixes[/h2]
  • Event icons in the main menu were showing the wrong items being awarded to players
  • Various server side crashes happening during the weekend
  • Correction in the event prompt text

Launch Event!

Welcome to the Early Access launch of Crasher of Aetheria!

To celebrate we are hosting free an in game event from March 1st 2025 - March 31st 2025. Collect free cosmetic items just by playing the game! Level up through the 10 levels of the event pass to claim them all.

Patch 0.8 & 0.9 - Early Access Launch

General
  • Tutorial
  • New launch event: Includes showcasing rewards at end of match if you level up
  • Dedicated discord quick link in the main menu
  • Custom games: Easier to match make against your friends


Fixes
  • Unlocks for skins were not properly working
  • Unlocking the promo code was causing an issue showcasing what you were being given
  • Hitting the core multiple times causing games to end very quickly
  • Hitting a totem with a crasher that has a barrier attached no longer loses that barrier
  • Reduced the spam of the server bot updating game status information (player count, games etc)
  • People that decline the AFK checker no longer soft lock those that did accept

Patch 0.7

General
  • Added VFX for units affected by slow
  • Replaced the Steam trailer and screenshots with more updated ones
  • New version of the AI has been released


Fixes
  • Fixed Mech arena background which was the wrong colour
  • Fixed visualization with units that were disabled and it disappearing on turn change
  • Power Drain VFX should now display in front of the crasher being targeted
  • Bear totem now visualizes units that are trapped
  • UI: Fixed an issue with certain names affecting the in game UI
