Lost Existence Beta 1.2.0 Patch Notes

Lost Existence Beta 1.2.0 Patch Notes:

Public Server:
- A public chaos server has been added to the multiplayer connect menu! While we cannot make any guarantees about stability or experience on this server, it's now available to do whatever you want, including meeting other players! No rules will be enforced, aside from banning cheats.

PvP Teams:
- Added a PvP team system to the game, enabled by default on all servers, supporting up to 20 team numbers from the new interface, or near-infinite from chat commands. Other players' status backgrounds will now change color based on their relation to you. Yellow is neutral, blue is allied, and red is hostile. Allies can be healed, neutral players can't be healed or damaged, and hostile players can be killed. You can change your PvP team from the top right corner of inventory, or by typing "/team (team number)". Switching has a one minute cooldown.
- When the server is in PvE mode (default): Normally, you can only heal everyone, no killing. Joining a team will allow you to kill players who have joined a different team, but will prevent you from healing or being healed by neutral players.
- When the server is in PvP mode: Normally, you can only kill other players, no healing. Joining a team will allow you to heal other players on the same team.

Updates:
- Completely reworked the appearance of the ingame tutorials.
- Added dodging, double jump, melee, spell, upgrade, and mastery tutorials.
- Changed the "out of mana" sound effect, and added a limit to how often it can play.
- Added an automatically generating 2x2 bedrock platform underneath spawn on all worlds. This is to combat spawn griefing in public servers.

Balance Updates:
- Increased overworld spawn rates by about 25%. This is largely to compensate for a previous bugfix.
- Globally reduced monster health and damage by about 10%, and reduced the amount of randomness on their hits.
- Adrenaline Burst now scales with PvP ratios on player hits, reducing it.
- Savage Impact and Crushing Leap now deal 20% less damage in PvP. (Does not affect existing worlds)
- Wild Slash now deals 50% damage in PvP (from 60%, nerf). (Does not affect existing worlds)

Minor Updates:
- Slightly increased the compass opacity.
- Mastery tabs now glow very obviously when you have unspent points on that specialization.
- Made the upgrade and mastery counters in the bottom left MUCH more obvious.
- Players now recieve 0% experience from PvP, from 10%. This can be changed in the server config file.
- The "/pvp" command now supports toggling it without adding "on/off".
- Closing the inventory screen will now set your upgrade shop page to the first page.
- Changed the compass key to "More/Less" instead of "+/-".
- You can now use "/level" as an alias of "/setlevel".

Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug where choosing a save file would not enable the load game button to open that save.
- Fixed a bug where players were receiving PvE stamina experience from damage dealt by other players.
- Fixed a bug where Grace of the Wind appeared too large while being charged up.
- Fixed a bug where the "Reconnect to World" button would not appear if the client has no previous single-player save file.
- Fixed a bug where experience gain would set a minimum of 1, when players would normally gain 0 experience from an action.
- Fixed a bug where rotating vertically while flying would move entity nameplates out of position until leaving flight mode.
- Fixed a bug where particle effects continued to appear on player corpses.
- Fixed another bug where players could get stuck in the void.

Lost Existence Beta 1.1.1 Patch Notes

Lost Existence Beta 1.1.1 Patch Notes:

Updates:
- Newly created characters (or switching class) now always sets Fury as the "First Specialization", putting it on 1-3. This also changes the default mouse buttons to use Fury attacks, instead of Burning Ember, strongly affecting first impressions when people don't know how to use the hotbar.
- Added coordinates to the bottom of the screen when using build tool mouse select, indicating the location of where the mouse is pointing.
- While in Creative mode, a short list of keybinds is now visible. This can be disabled with the keybind helper option.
- Added a tooltip in the bottom right that indicates how to swap to build mode. This can be disabled with the keybind helper option.
- When in the new game menu, if you have previously played on the selected world name, it now automatically adds a number to the end, saving you a click.
- Added a build tool help file, which can be accessed from the bottom left of the build tool menu.

- Increased the default mouse sensitivity. This won't change existing settings if you've played before.
- Leaving creative mode now sets your flight speed to at least 1.
- The setlevel command no longer requires "All" as a skill type parameter to set all levels. IE: "/setlevel 60" will now work.

Lost Existence Beta 1.1.0 Patch Notes

Lost Existence Beta 1.1.0 Patch Notes:

Thank you to our growing community for the feedback on this patch! Monumental improvements have been made to the building process, as well as many other substantial changes. Special thanks to Gravix for his feedback on this version.

Additions:
- Finished the "Class" tab. It now shows your active class, skills, masteries, and fusions, in a nice organized list.
- Added an "Advanced Options" menu to new games, making it much easier to modify the server setup, including options such as: "Loot Rate", "Monster Apocalypse", and "Monster Spawn Rate".
- Added a short built-in tutorial on how to switch classes and use different class spells. Many new players didn't figure this out. This can be restarted from options.
- Added climbable vines to the game.

Building Interface Improvements:
- Added a new way to place build tools, using the mouse cursor to select where to put it.
- Added hotbar interface for switching between build tools.
- Build tools that follow coordinates can now be moved effortlessly with WASD/Space/Shift! This adjusts according the direction you're facing for easy use.
- Added Dungeon Checkpoints to the build tools interface.
- Added a new option to some build tools, called "Keep Center on Resize", which allows them to expand from the center instead of an edge, when size is changed.
- Build previews now auto-update if already visible, instead of requiring an update preview click. The exception to this is spheres over 30 radius, due to the required rendering time.
- The build preview menu now starts with cuboid selected, rather than nothing.

Game Balance:
- Increased the spawn rate of Swarm packs by 50%, but reduced experience gain by 14%, and reduced loot by 20%.
- Reduced ambient monster spawns over time by 65%. Chunk discovery spawns are unaffected; this change only affects the hordes that were spawning when you stayed in one place too long.
- Massively increased the hitbox of friendly targets when 'wide healing' is enabled (which is default).
- Mushrooms of all types now give/cost 10 build gems (from 0).

Aesthetics:
- Made build preview models more transparent.
- Build preview models now ignore fog.
- Updated the preview for Monster Spawn Point.
- Increased the opacity of the 'Upgrade' and 'Mastery' counters in the bottom left.
- When looking directly at a chest or crystals, the interface now expands the help text with the collect keybind.
- The cooldown number for melee spells no longer show when they are locked by another effect, such as being midair for Crushing Leap.

Minor Changes:
- Build commands have been renamed to build tools clientside.
- Changed loot ratios to allow fractional values.
- Added the empty 'owner' rank to permissions.
- The "dungeon graveyard" command has been renamed to "dungeon checkpoint".
- Room commands now default "Air Fill" to ON.
- Reorganized the build tools buttons.
- Reduced the opacity of Build Tools buttons and features so the preview is more easily visible.
- The "Close" button on build tools now says "Close/Open (P)" to show that the toggling key exists.
- On build tools, the "Clear Preview" button has been renamed to "Hide Preview".
- The Instant PvP Arena button has been made red.
- The 'Replace Only' property of build tools has been visually renamed 'Replace Specific Block'.

Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug where "ambient spawn rate" only supported whole numbers, despite being a fraction.
- Fixed a bug where the inventory menu could get stuck behind the build tools window when pressing 'P'.
- Fixed multiple bugs with the Monster Spawn Point interface.
