Update 0.8.40

Update 0.8.39


Try out the new active skill - neurostimulator, the game sometimes turns into chaos, and this ability allows you to understand the events around you more clearly.
Also, the redesign of the alternative machine gun at full upgrade makes it an ultimatum weapon against all types of enemy shields... as long as there is ammo.
I didn't want to release the update anytime soon, but one critical bug changed my plans.
  • Island: Foundations are now built higher by default, previously they were at ground level.
  • Island: New elements: table for configuring quest modules, and smart solar panels (as it turned out, they are not generating electricity yet, but will start in the next update).
  • The sun's graphics have been improved, it also changes color at sunset and interacts better with fog.
  • Portable cover has been replaced by Neurostimulator, which allows you to slow down time... It combines well with the pistol, and in cooperative mode, it will apply to both players.
  • The Alternate Machine Gun has been modified: upgrading its damage also adds Olympic Alloy heating, and upgrading its auto-targeting has been replaced with a chance to penetrate the plasma shield.
  • Allied stingrays now have a blue mark.
  • Fixed a critical bug with missiles.

Update 0.8.38

Deep refactoring and additional code optimization have been implemented, and large-scale system changes may lead to new problems, although I have not found anything while testing.

Significant balance change: Heavy Scout (rank II) now partially attacks with plasma.
This means that scouts can now hit other scouts, previously they were just covered by shields and forever shooting at each other.
Also, they can now better resist turrets with shields and even resist a Scout of rank III (with invisibility)

  • Two new slots have been added to the equipment, slot activation for the gamepad has been redesigned to support more than 4 slots, now left/right arrows virtually select a slot, and up/down activates it, this will also make it easier to switch between Olympic rifle modes.
  • Returned the ability to flip the camera left/right, by default it was placed on the mouse wheel click, you can reassign it in the settings.
  • Heavy Scout now attacks with plasma.
  • When the interface is hidden (U key), all controls now work (previously, weapons did not switch, homing missiles did not work)
  • The number 0 in the lack of damage will be shown even if the numbers are disabled in the settings. (to improve the understanding of an ineffective attack.) Later it can be replaced with some effect or icon.

Datacenter (Update 0.8.37 +f1)

A new level and a lot of changes! I hope the changes will be positive for you, and if you don't like it, we can always fix it.
  • The new mission is provided with a new soundtrack.
  • A new mission introduces a new enemy type.
  • Island: added upgrade tables with a suit and Olympic rifle.
  • The weight of the broken enemy parts is now much higher, they used to fly like foam, and last looked at these parameters a long time ago.
  • An anti-aircraft system has been added to the Aircraft Factory level, which should make the main battle easier.
  • On the "desert" level, resource deposits now have a visual effect to better understand where to move the miner at close range. Players often passed by without a visual reference point, and the letter "m" was added to clarify that the antenna indicates meters.
  • Spare parts are now picked up instantly, without animation delay.
  • Lotus puzzle buttons respond instantly, without delay in the animation of pressing the button.
  • Weak spots on the "Core" have been increased, their destruction now deals more damage.
  • The rocket launcher turret now fires 2 rockets instead of 3.
  • The cost of crafting ammo and arrows has been reduced.
  • Improved overall sound quality at the sound system level, experimentally added a general filter.
  • Now when you access the field craft, you automatically get access to the crafting of ammunition for the Olympic rifle, instead of the automatic heal.

A lot of attention is given to shooting and balance, as this is the main mechanic of the game - I want to polish it and make it more intense:
  • All player's bullets fly much faster without upgrading, with upgrades the speed is even higher.
  • Detonating missiles also fly much faster and detonate a second earlier.
  • Changed the graphics of all bullets.
  • Improved effects of plasma shots and hits.
  • Added recoil to plasma shooting.
  • Replaced the sound of shooting plasma.
  • Added a special sound when dealing damage to enemies. This will help you better understand if the enemy is blocking damage.
  • The alternative machine gun of the Olympic Rifle now has 30% more damage than the typical machine gun.
  • The physical impact of bullets has been increased to make robots shake from hits.
  • The default zoom has been slightly increased.
  • The speed of enemy bullets has been increased.

Update 0.8.36

  • The game is built on a newer version of Unity so that the game may work better or new problems may appear.
  • Fixed an issue on the "Desert" level where the finished resource capsule was not able to be removed from the centrifuge, thus blocking the progress of the level.
  • On the "Desert" level, the centrifuge has been accelerated so you don't have to wait long.
