Future Updates Preview

Hello! This is Team Horay.

It's already been a month since we released the game. Thank you very much for all your support. We had a pleasant April thanks to your interest, which far exceeded our expectations.

Over the past month, we've been patching the game and listening to your feedback, thinking about what we should work on next. We would like to share what we are currently developing and plan to develop in the future through this announcement.

Features Currently Under Development


  • New Weapon Type - Crossbow

    • The crossbow is a ranged weapon. Unlike other weapons, it requires 'reloading'.
    • We are preparing various upgrades such as increasing the rate of fire and ammunition capacity to spray arrows, or laying mines to damage multiple enemies.

  • Chapter 3: We are working on content following Chapter 2.
  • New Hard Mode Features: We are working on new hard mode elements that strengthen the patterns of bosses and mini-bosses.


Features Planned for Future Development



  • Costume Alternative Appearance System

    • We are planning a system that allows you to unlock different color variations of costumes.
    • We are also discussing how to implement various systems based on your feedback, such as costume layering (appearance only).

  • New Weapon Type - Katana

    • The katana is being designed as a melee weapon that alternates between normal attacks and special attacks.
    • The actual implementation may differ from the current GIF.


  • Multiplayer Improvements

    • Inventory UX Improvements

      • Based on feedback requesting the ability to view other players' inventories, we have determined this is a necessary system and plan to implement it in the future.

    • Enhanced Communication (Chat, etc.): We are considering various ways to enhance in-game communication features.

      • Displaying chat above characters
      • Improving the visibility of the chat UI in the bottom left
      • Fixing issues where chat UI is obscured by other UI elements
      • Adding emojis

    • Network Improvements: Sephiria currently uses Steam's built-in multiplayer communication function, but this system has bandwidth limitations (we estimate around 5Mbps). As a result, when there are many items communicating in the late game, the bandwidth exceeds this limit, causing communication failures and ping spikes up to 2000ms. We are investigating various solutions, but currently there is no suitable solution. Due to this, we are also considering changing the communication infrastructure to Epic Online Services (EOS) in future patches. (Using EOS does not require an Epic account.) This is not yet confirmed, and we will consider various options to minimize inconvenience for you.

  • Item Combo System Rework

    • We are discussing ways to obtain more unique effects rather than just stat increases through the item combo system.

  • Controller Support

    • Since the current controller support is not satisfactory, we plan to provide additional support in the future.
    • Currently, this is a lower priority as we want to focus on other tasks first.

In addition to these updates, we plan to continuously add new costumes, items, etc. with each patch. The same goes for bugs and QoL improvements you've reported.   • Wisdom Level 5: Changed ability from "100% MP recovery acceleration after using MP" to "Recover 3 MP when defeating an enemy".(Modified 2025-05-12)
  • Wisdom Level 10: Added ability to gain 1 dice when defeating a boss.
  • Wisdom Level 10: Improved so that artifacts that have reached their maximum level through tablet placement or other means will no longer appear.
  • Wisdom Level 20: Added +20% EXP drop ability.

  • šŸ„• Fixed an issue where players could move to the next node while acquiring rewards in certain combat wave event rooms.
  • Changed so that rewards have a chance to appear additionally upon clearing combat wave event rooms.


[h2]Multiplayer[/h2]
  • šŸ„• Party member FX transparency option: Applied transparency options to projectile attacks and Chain Lightning visual effects.


[h2]Weapons[/h2]
  • Greatsword "Mischievous Play": Added one enhancement tree for the Wooden Club.
  • Dagger "Looming Dark Cloud": Effect changed (Gain Dark Cloud charges on successful parry, increase Fury damage by 2% per Dark Cloud charge (up to 70%)).
  • Greatsword "Awkward Joy": Slightly modified attack positions.
  • Dagger "Lightning Dagger": Effect changed (Deals additional 20% lightning damage on direct attacks).
  • Greatsword "Lightning Greatsword "E3G"": Improved to gain a buff that increases Dark Cloud consumption speed when using Whirlwind.
  • Dagger "Fire Dagger": Fixed an issue where text wasn't displaying properly.
  • Greatsword "Awkward Joy": Increased Whirlwind damage and collision range.
  • Greatsword "Gaze of Love": Effect changed (MP reduction for Whirlwind -> Increased critical chance for Whirlwind).
  • Greatsword "Inquisitor": Special attack changed to 'Wound Explosion'.
  • Cold Greatsword, Eternal Cold Sword, Lightning Greatsword E2G, Lightning Dagger: Fixed so attribute damages apply attack coefficients (not just "Physical Damage").
  • šŸ„• Greatsword "Crimson Whirlwind": Fixed an issue where dash attacks weren't affected by damage reduction, and changed its effect (Stacks up to 3 Wound Deterioration buffs).
  • Sword and Shield "Small Destruction": Decreased post-motion delay for Sweep.
  • Sword and Shield "Gripping Fear": Improved so that Sweep is instantly charged on perfect guard.
  • Greatsword "Minimalism": Increased outer range detection.
  • Greatsword "Primordial Form": Slightly increased the thickness of collision detection for normal and dash attacks.
  • Greatsword "Black Iron Halberd": Effect changed (Recover HP equal to 0.7% of outer edge damage).
    (Work is currently in progress to display the range for weapons that require outer edge detection.)
  • šŸ„• Dagger "Shadow of Hope": Fixed an issue where effect positioning was misaligned.
  • Wound Deterioration: Changed so that this debuff can stack up to 4 times by default.
  • Dagger "Absolute Envy": Added one dagger enhancement tree for Threshold Crossing.
  • Dagger "Shadow of Hope": Parry damage changed (20% -> 80%).


[h2]Bosses[/h2]
  • šŸ„• Black Panther Assassin: Fixed an issue where it would attack enemies outside the combat area in certain situations.


[h2]Items[/h2]
  • Tablet "Spike": Level +1 is applied to the slots above and below.
  • New Destiny Engraving "Box of Possibilities": You can use Sapphire to stock items at merchants.


[h2]Artifacts[/h2]
  • šŸ„• Planet Artifacts: Slightly modified text for each language.
  • Changed so that when Corrosion debuff is applied while already active, the duration is refreshed.
  • šŸ„• Hiring Contract "Colin": Fixed an issue where artifact description and actual damage amounts were different.

A bug that causes the game to crash when entering a location with a hidden room in the grassland stage has been temporarily fixed. This causes the crack tiles pointing to the hidden room in the grassland to not be generated. We will work to resolve this issue as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

  • Sword and Shield: Improved handling (Added guard cancel during attacks, reduced stagger time on successful guard)
  • Sword and Shield: Perfect guard timing window reduced from 0.22 seconds to 0.15 seconds.
  • Sword and Shield: You can no longer cast magic while guarding.
  • Minimalism: Removed the upgrade path to Black Iron Halberd.
  • šŸ„• Controller Input: Fixed a bug where attacks or guards would continue when activating magic casting mode.

  • šŸ„• Fixed a bug where enchanting an item obtained from the Tree Root event (miracle) could affect other players' inventory slot levels.
