Hotfix

[p]Hotfix to address a couple issues that could be encountered when joining multiplayer games[/p]

Regular Update

[p]Mostly content work to prepare for early access (not visible in demo), but also includes the following, focusing on quality of life and incremental improvements for better user experience.[/p][p][/p][p]Patch notes:[/p]
  • [p]Added a new visual cue for dangerous boss abilities[/p]
  • [p]Added a new class of items, accessories, which provide various passive effects. These can be acquired through completing a type of objective.[/p]
  • [p]Autosave option now saves games whenever the game is paused if at least 10 seconds game time has passed, instead of only at the start of the stage.[/p]
  • [p]Spells and items can now be moved by left clicking once and then left clicking again on the target location, rather than only by dragging (mouse only)[/p]
  • [p]Single player games will now pause when Steam overlay is opened[/p]
  • [p]Many bug fixes[/p]
  • [p]Many adjustments to existing spells/aspects/upgrades[/p]

Regular Update

[h2]Changes[/h2][p] [/p][p]Fixed a regression that caused pixel alignment to be done incorrectly, resulting in more jerky motion than intended. Additionally, added options for target frame rate and V-Sync in Settings menu.[/p][p]Added a new camera style option that allows off center view. The original camera style is available as an option in the Settings menu.[/p][p]Changed the behaviors of several enemy types. This improves the variety among enemies and helps make early stages more engaging.[/p][p]Rebalancing pass on enemies and early spell progression. This improves the consistency of the early game (and generally makes the first few stages easier).[/p][p]Player collision detecting has been adjusted to always be the minimum possible size regardless of character and facing. This makes the collision detection consistent and mostly impacts dodging of enemy projectiles.[/p][p]Second boss no longer summons additional waves of enemies while some still exist. This reduces the possibility of the player being overwhelmed and always gives a chance to deal damage to the boss after dealing with the summons.[/p][p]Added several new spell aspects, and upgrades to aspects that previously did not have any special upgrades.[/p][p]Added several new talents.[/p][p]Added one more unique item.[/p][p]Spells now indicate if there are any available aspects that can be added to them.[/p][p]Many improvements and fixes to various spells.[/p][p]Reworked the Brutality spell aspect.[/p][p]Reduced the damage dealt by apparitions created by delusion.[/p][p]...and more content not visible in demo.[/p]

New Feature + minor patch

[h2]New Feature - Codex[/h2][p][/p][p]The Codex is a new feature accessible through the main menu that allows you to view most of the possible choices available in the game - only choices that you have previously picked in the past will be fully revealed, so that you can both track what you have tried out before and review the descriptions and stats of the various spells, aspects, talents, etc.[/p][p][/p][h2]Patch notes[/h2]
  • [p]Added the Codex to the main menu, which allows you to view various categories of choices made and their descriptions[/p]
  • [p]Spell are automatically bound to a free slot if possible when learning them[/p]
  • [p]Many fixes to the set of new spells added last patch[/p]
  • [p]Miscellaneous visual and audio improvements[/p]
  • [p]New visuals for trees, as the previous visual was not clear what it was[/p]
  • [p]Added interface option to set a fixed field of view [/p]
  • [p]Objectives now are more obvious and show their type when they first appear[/p]
  • [p]Improved behavior of spell levelups when gaining multiple levels at once[/p]
  • [p]Blood Magic spell aspect no longer has "Cannot be applied to remedy spells" and instead has "This spell cannot restore life in any way"[/p]
  • [p]Slayer's Advance buff now only applies to non-translocation spells[/p]
  • [p]You can now view the full details of spells granted by shrines by expanding the effect description in the character sheet[/p]

[h2]Major changes[/h2]

  • Added support for Vulkan and D3D12 GPU drivers, and selection of GPU driver can be changed in the settings menu
  • Added 8 new spells
  • Many numerical adjustments to game mechanics
  • Improvements to many visuals
  • Moved "The Obscured" settings into the game start screen, so that it is easier to adjust while starting a game, particularly when playing multiplayer
  • Adjusted game field of view, so that it is lower at the start and gradually increases to the previous value


[h2]Specific changes + bugfixes[/h2]

  • Improved how spell levelup options are merged when multiple levels are gained at once
  • Adjust level requirements for early game spells
  • Rejuvenation potion no longer grants increased resilience
  • The delusion affliction now correctly spawns apparitions only near the player that has the affliction
  • The modifier that multiplies the duration of shrines but limits you to one now only applies to spell shrines
  • Experience objectives now grant more experience in later stages
  • Boss kills are now counted for unlocks even if you are not the player actually killing the boss
  • Vulnerability debuff no longer has the opposite of its intended effect
  • Fixed a variety of client crashes and internal calculations
