  • 🟡Mace Study (Rare): 5.8s cooldown --> 6s cooldown | "On trigger: Give adjacent maces +2 damage permanently." --> "On trigger: Give mace below +4 damage permanently."
  • 🔴Darksteel (Common): 80% crit --> 75% crit.
  • 🔴Bone Club (Common): 3s cooldown --> 3.2s cooldown.


[h3]Encounters:[/h3]
  • Elven Archer: "Take my bow" now gives an elven regular bow with +3 multicast instead of +2.
  • Blacksmith: "Heavy Armor" 120 shield --> 130 shield.
  • Shieldbearer: "Dark Path" option removed and replaced with: "Shield Mastery: Give a shield +1 multicast".


[h3]Other:[/h3]
  • Triple chests now appear on the far right of the inventory, while items does not appear in this spot.
  • Trigem and Mythic Rod now has a green/red indicator showing if you have only unique item types or not. Their ability texts slightly rephrased.
  • Directional arrow indicators made brighter.
  • Now shows a gold icon instead of "$" at the reroll button.
  • Leaving or losing connection mid-game no longer removes a flat 100 rating, but rather calculates your rating gain/loss based on trophies. I.e. leaving with 5 trophies result in no rating change.
  • Time Tonic encounter now states what Time Tonic actually does.


[h3]Fixes:[/h3]
  • Removed the "Dark" tag from Coldshot, which had been added by mistake.
  • Coldshot and Midas Diary no longer work from inventory during combat.
  • Cobalt Spear now correctly consumes bleed as well.
  • "Heavy Armor" and Dusk Shield now trigger Warrior Shield damage on start of combat shielding.
  • Pausing and then entering a new screen (like the combat screen) before unpausing no longer causes bugs.
  • Projectiles no longer slow down a lot when playing with 60/90 FPS.
  • The Elven tag and other added tags to items will now properly work on enemy items.


Remember that the PvP environment might still contain old / unnerfed builds for an hour or two.

Lost Fragment: 5s cooldown --> 5.3s cooldown.
Emerald Sword: 5.3s cooldown --> 5.5s cooldown.
Dusk Shield: 2.3s cooldown --> 2.6s cooldown | 20 shield --> 25 shield.
Cobalt Spear: 6.7s cooldown --> 4.5s cooldown | "Start of Combat: Permanently gain the attack from other adjacent spears." --> "Start of Combat: Consume adjacent spears to gain their stats."

Encounters:

Fixes:
Mythic Rod text in the shop has been fixed.
The new encounters now show the encounter tooltip at the correct position.

New stuff:
  • The game now supports 60/90/120 FPS rather than being hardlocked to 120 FPS. The game will check your monitor refresh rate at startup, and set FPS accordingly. If you change the FPS manually, the game will save and remember it.
  • The Oak now has a different Tower skin. Big thank you to SwordInTheDuck!
  • Removed the option to toggle off item stats in the tower.
  • Added visual indicators to items that buff other items in a certain direction. "Give item to the Left X.." will show a left arrow.
  • Astral Hammer now shows a small number telling how many maces you have. It lights green if you have the 4 required for its effect.
  • High Blade now shows a small number telling how many Moon/Elven items you have.

I managed to sneak in some more content.

There are now 10 different encounters in the game, 5 of which will appear in a run.
You can see your encounter history beside the tower, as well as your opponents encounter history.



Day 3:
Always Priest (gives Max HP)

Always Cleric (Gives Max hp / regain hearts).

  • Moon knife triple weren't actually fixed last patch, but now it has been fixed for good. Triple moon knife gives +32 XP.
  • Protector and Lifeguard now removes temporary damage/shield from Flamy Way Axe and Blazing Bull.


[h3]Other:[/h3]
  • The Max HP cap has been increased to 15K.
  • You now gain +30% max health on level up rather than +25%.
  • The medic has gotten a new job as a priest.
  • Items now show a gold coin icon instead of "$". A dollar sign? Come on that was kinda troll.


As always, the PvP environment will take an hour or two to flush out old/unnerfed player builds from the pool. Early round builds will be flushed quicker.

Expect balance/changes to the new encounters.

[h3]New feature: The Oak[/h3]
After a game of Oaken Tower, you can now fight The Oak.
The Oak can not die, but it will keep track of how much damage it has taken. This is used to see how much damage your build can reach, before you die to fatigue.

New Player avatar: Wooden Log.
Unlocked by dealing 300k damage to The Oak.

  • Natures call now works on Cursed Necklace. This was disabled because it was a pretty op interaction, where Cursed Necklace would get a lot of multicast (each trigger will give itself exponentially scaling multicast in combat). However, since CN has a fairly long cooldown I wanted to enabled it and see how it goes.
  • Added an indicator in the shop (underneath level) to see what chest reward you will earn from triples. Hover with mouse to see what levels the reward will upgrade.


As always, the PvP environment will take an hour or two to flush out old/unnerfed player builds from the pool. Early round builds will be flushed quicker.

As my exams approach, I will not be doing more updates until early june.
