New day 4 encounter: Blacksmith
New day 6 encounter: Elven Archer





New stuff:
  • The game now supports 60/90/120 FPS rather than being hardlocked to 120 FPS. The game will check your monitor refresh rate at startup, and set FPS accordingly. If you change the FPS manually, the game will save and remember it.
  • The Oak now has a different Tower skin. Big thank you to SwordInTheDuck!
  • Removed the option to toggle off item stats in the tower.
  • Added visual indicators to items that buff other items in a certain direction. "Give item to the Left X.." will show a left arrow.
  • Astral Hammer now shows a small number telling how many maces you have. It lights green if you have the 4 required for its effect.
  • High Blade now shows a small number telling how many Moon/Elven items you have.

  • 🟢Lunar Codex (Rare): "When you level up, permanently gain +15 damage" --> "When you level up, permanently gain +20 damage" | 40 gold --> 35 gold.
  • 🟢Hunter's Tome (Rare): 3.5s cooldown --> 3.4s cooldown.
  • 🟢Trigem (Legendary): Gives unique items +4 permanent damage --> Gives unique items +5 permanent damage.

  • 🟢Woodchopping (Epic): "On trigger: Give all axes +4 damage permanently." --> "On trigger: Give all axes +5 damage permanently." | 50 gold --> 45 gold.
  • 🟢Batwing (Legendary): 65 gold --> 50 gold. | 6.7s cooldown --> 6s cooldown. | 15 damage --> 20 damage.
  • 🔴Amber (Epic): 3.3s cooldown --> 3.5s cooldown.
  • 🔴Refined Spear: 2s cooldown --> 2.2s cooldown.
  • 🟢Arcane Bow (Common): 0 burn --> 1 burn. //Dev comment: This makes Arcane Bow play more into the arcane "rainbow" debuff build.
  • 🟢Fire Orb (Epic): 6.4s cooldown --> 6.2s cooldown.
  • 🟢Flamy War Axe (Legendary): 10 burn --> 12 burn.
  • 🟢Doom Guide (Legendary): 1200 damage --> 1500 damage.
  • 🟢Mythic Rod (Epic): "Start of combat: Permanently gain +35 DMG if you have only unique item types." --> "Start of combat: Permanently gain +40 DMG if you have only unique item types."
  • 🟢High Blade (Epic): 6.2s cooldown --> 5.7s cooldown.
  • 🟢Dagger Manual (Epic): 3.4s cooldown --> 3.3s cooldown. //Dev comment: This unnoticable change was made to have Dagger Manual and Hook at different cooldowns.
  • 🟢Crescentshot (Rare): 3.8s cooldown --> 3.7s cooldown.
  • 🟢Ice Spear (Rare): "On trigger: Permanently gain +1% crit chance." --> "On trigger: Permanently gain +2% crit chance."
  • 🔴Lost Fragment (Legendary): 60 gold --> 65 gold.

  • Lifeguard triple text fixed.
  • Astral Hammer triple no longer has a 0.5s cooldown UNLESS the 4 mace requirement is fulfilled.


Remember that the PvP environment might still contain old / unnerfed builds for an hour or two.

I managed to sneak in some more content.

There are now 10 different encounters in the game, 5 of which will appear in a run.
You can see your encounter history beside the tower, as well as your opponents encounter history.



Day 3:
Always Priest (gives Max HP)

Day 6:

Always Cleric (Gives Max hp / regain hearts).

  • 🔴Darksteel (Common): 25 damage --> 20 damage.
  • 🟡Cursed Necklace (Legendary): No longer works on Natures Call.
  • 🔴Emerald Sword (Legendary): 3 bleed --> 2 bleed. | 4.4s cooldown --> 4.8s cooldown.
  • 🔴Nightquill (Legendary): 55 gold --> 60 gold.
  • 🟢Venom Ring (Legendary): 6.1s cooldown --> 5.8s cooldown.
  • 🔴Cobalt Spear (Legendary): 6.2s cooldown --> 6.7s cooldown | 50 gold --> 55 gold.


[h3]Fixes:[/h3]
  • Moon knife triple weren't actually fixed last patch, but now it has been fixed for good. Triple moon knife gives +32 XP.
  • Protector and Lifeguard now removes temporary damage/shield from Flamy Way Axe and Blazing Bull.


[h3]Other:[/h3]
  • The Max HP cap has been increased to 15K.
  • You now gain +30% max health on level up rather than +25%.
  • The medic has gotten a new job as a priest.
  • Items now show a gold coin icon instead of "$". A dollar sign? Come on that was kinda troll.


As always, the PvP environment will take an hour or two to flush out old/unnerfed player builds from the pool. Early round builds will be flushed quicker.

Expect balance/changes to the new encounters.

[h3]New feature: The Oak[/h3]
After a game of Oaken Tower, you can now fight The Oak.
The Oak can not die, but it will keep track of how much damage it has taken. This is used to see how much damage your build can reach, before you die to fatigue.

New Player avatar: Wooden Log.
Unlocked by dealing 300k damage to The Oak.

  • Natures call now works on Cursed Necklace. This was disabled because it was a pretty op interaction, where Cursed Necklace would get a lot of multicast (each trigger will give itself exponentially scaling multicast in combat). However, since CN has a fairly long cooldown I wanted to enabled it and see how it goes.
  • Added an indicator in the shop (underneath level) to see what chest reward you will earn from triples. Hover with mouse to see what levels the reward will upgrade.


As always, the PvP environment will take an hour or two to flush out old/unnerfed player builds from the pool. Early round builds will be flushed quicker.

As my exams approach, I will not be doing more updates until early june.

Items that are tripled no longer combines the sell value of all 3 items, but only from the 2 that you had in your inventory already.
Added some more animations and sound effects.

You can now get a nice overview of your items stats at a glance.
This setting can be toggled on/off.



New item: Nightquill | Epic | Artifact/Dark | $40 | 0 damage | "Start of combat: Trigger your other items' start of combat effects".
This item has great synergy with "Cursed Necklace" (Legendary)!

  • Fixed an issue that made some "Start of Combat" effects not work intended, including High Blade and Spikey Mace, which didn't get the buffing it was supposed to.
  • Fixed a bug where Moon Knife (rare) would provide XP to the player if the enemy had it in their tower.

  • The star indicating a tripled item has been moved a bit and centered.
  • High Blade (epic) now has an animation and sound when triggering its start of combat effect.
  • Healing Word (common) now shows a healing icon on trigger.
  • How To Grow (rare) now shows a damage icon on trigger.
  • Mace Studies (rare) now shows a damage icon on trigger.
  • When items get buffed in-combat, the buff numbers now stay closer to the item they apply to.

The PvP environment might still hold old pre-nerfed items for 1-2 hours.
