Beta Update 0.7.6.4

[p]Hello everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]Another quick update to fix some issues and lower the prices of Destroyers and other large ships.[/p][p][/p][h3]Update availability[/h3][p]This update is still under active development. As such, it is only available if you switch to the beta branch of Vanguard Galaxy to test out these new changes. Instruction on how to install the beta updates can be found at the bottom of this post.[/p][p][/p][p]Added/Changed[/p][p]- Faction logo/icon will be shown at spacestation POI's on the map[/p][p]- Added a Torpedo Ammo Recipe[/p][p]- Travel effect has been tweaked / spiced up a bit[/p][p][/p][p]Balance[/p][p]- Increased crafted ammo amount to improve the value[/p][p]- Large ship costs lowered by around 25% ( There will be another mechanic added later on for unlocking certain ships - tied to conquest)[/p][p]- "At War" status can only be changed once you reach the new Conquest area (to prevent softlocks due to making enemies while no Embassies are available)[/p][p]- "Canister of Refined Titanium" and its brethren can now be "refined" almost instantly[/p][p]- Added legendary gear as a possible spawn out of loot containers and loot drops (starting at level 60)[/p][p]- Deployable items (like shield pylons) are no longer affected by physics pushing effects[/p][p][/p][p]Fixes[/p][p]- Right-clicking an item in your cargo will no longer switch space station view to the personal hangar if the item isn't equippable[/p][p]- ECHO no longer unloads Torpedo ammo if you have a Torpedo Bay equipped[/p][p]- ECHO will now buy Torpedos to restock your supply[/p][p]- Fixed some blueprints crafting the wrong item[/p][p]- Fixed item count background in inventory sometimes growing to twice the intended size[/p][p]- "Canister of Refined Titanium" items no longer block the auto-refining of other items[/p][p]- Deployable items (like shield pylons) are no longer immortal[/p][p]- Deployable items and turrets no longer leave behind an orphaned health bar when they are destroyed[/p][p]- Fix for Industry Ops station preventing travel when player is at zero health, causing the player to get stuck there[/p][p]- NPC ships now spawn with Torpedo ammo if the ship has a torpedo bay[/p][p]- Fixed Gryp and Rypper drone exit/entry point[/p][p]- Fix for Mercenary losing its way when the player switches ships[/p][p][/p][p]And as always, if you find any annoying / interesting bugs or just want to give your opinion. Instruction on how to install the beta updates can be found at the bottom of this post.[/p][p][/p][p]Added/Changed[/p][p]- New ship: Gryp-Class Reclaimer Salvager (Utixon Corp)[/p][p]- New ship: Axcetor-Class Reclaimer Salvager (Utixon Corp)[/p][p]- New ship: Rypper-Class Destroyer (Marade Wharf)[/p][p]- New ship: Paktar-Class Large Freighter (Marade Wharf)[/p][p]- New ship to encounter: Carkalon-Class Destroyer (???)[/p][p]- Added a logo/icon for each faction. Icons are shown in the sector map (which space stations are present in what system) and in the space station interior.[/p][p]- Added "At War" toggle to the reputation window. You can now mark any faction as an enemy, even if you have a positive reputation.[/p][p]- Added a hint to system / sector tooltips if there is a new mission available locally - briefly explains the mission's purpose.[/p][p]- Enlarged combat poi area some more[/p][p]- Added Torpedo's which deal some AOE damage on impact, can be shot at[/p][p]- Added the missing Torpedo Bays and Torpedo Ammo (WIP, damage will need to be balanced (low atm without stacking torp power))[/p][p]- Torpedo Power is available on large modules and on turrets (starting from level 45 for now)[/p][p]- Replaced the previous "Canister of Refined Materials" items with a separate item for each material type. They can be emptied in the refinery. Currently existing items are unaffected.[/p][p]- Mining and Salvaging mercs can also be hired now[/p][p][/p][p]Balance[/p][p]- In conquest the miner support mission is supporting a Warden, best combat ship ever :)[/p][p]- Defeating enemy defense waves at a hostile space station in the conquest area now reduces enemy fleet strength[/p][p]- Jumpgates to the Penumbra and Lucifer sectors are closed off until you reach level 55 (temporary solution - will change later)[/p][p]- Changed the max engine values of some ships[/p][p]- Changed experience rewards slightly when eliminating larger ships[/p][p]- Removed Fulter and Exdyne max spawn level (was 50)[/p][p][/p][p]Fixes[/p][p]- Fixed Targeting Specialist description[/p][p]- Fixed Targeting Specialist not correctly adding Crit Damage[/p][p]- Clear construction site, if active gets more asteroids to be able to finish the mission[/p][p]- Auto targetting by drones and deployable turrets restored[/p][p]- OmniTac options depend on your reputation with them[/p][p]- Extending the hire period of the mercenary actually takes credits now :)[/p][p]- Added toggle to wingman portrait to automatically extend contract[/p][p]- Faction relation colors in the tooltip of a system are now displayed properly (friendly station in a hostile system shows as green)[/p][p]- Available mission markers should be more visible on the galaxy map[/p][p]- Performance issue with autopilot setting for max jumps fixed. maxJumps setting for ECHO removed for now as it didn't add anything yet. Might come back later when it becomes useful[/p][p]- Spaceship cannot be blocked by NPC when starting to travel away[/p][p]- Shipyard / Personal Hanger zoom out a little bit by default for some of the larger ships[/p][p]- Patrol and Bounty boards now properly check for enemy faction, if you're a friend of the pirates the Fanatics will be used instead[/p][p]- Fix for broken item tooltips in some salvage POI's[/p][p]- Patrolling units should no longer spawn multiple patrols at the same time[/p][p]- Disabled auto-refining for some items (Canister of Refined Materials, and some items that may become useful in the future)[/p][p]- Prevented hostile ships from spawning at Space Stations and getting into fights[/p][p]- Added checks to NPC amounts around space stations and jump gates, hopefully preventing the occasional pile up[/p][p]- A loadout with only core miners will now ignore manually targetted containers[/p][p]- The reward notification will have more room for each category[/p][p][/p][p]And as always, if you find any annoying / interesting bugs or just want to give your opinion. [p]Hello everyone, [/p][p][/p][h2]Beta Update 0.7.6 has arrived[/h2][p]The Conquest area is here and with it the level cap is expanded to 60. Full patch notes for the update can be found below.[/p][p][/p][h3]Update availability[/h3][p]This update is still under active development. As such, it is only available if you switch to the beta branch of Vanguard Galaxy to test out these new changes. Instruction on how to install the beta updates can be found at the bottom of this post.[/p][p][/p][h3]Conquest[/h3][p]You can now perform missions for a faction of your choice in the Conquest area. Your efforts are rewarded with reinforcements for that faction, which it will use in its efforts to gain control over the Conquest area. Who will you support?[/p][p][/p][h3]Mercenaries[/h3][p]You can find the new Omnitac Agency in the Conquest area. They represent mercenaries for hire. These will accompany you for an hour before they say their goodbye. If you improve your reputation with Omnitac you will get better options.[/p][p]Mercenaries are the first step towards gathering a whole fleet of ships to fly around with! While proper fleet control is still a way off in the future, we hope you enjoy this first introduction of NPC followers.[/p][p][/p][h3]Destroyers[/h3][p]Ships are getting bigger and bigger as we go along. So naturally you will be able to get your hands on destroyers now. [/p][p][/p][h3]New Skills[/h3][p]With the new level cap we're expanding the skill trees as well. You will have a whole new set of choices for each of the skill trees that have been available up to now.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]And of course there's a lot of other improvements. Honorable mention to the faster travel possibility. Go check out your nearest Intertrade Network space station for a mission to unlock faster travel over bigger distances.
